Originally from Connecticut, I'm an American abroad for years & years who has lived or worked in six countries on three continents, the longest in Germany. Currently I'm in lovely Vienna, Austria.

I'm the author of the Sally Witherspoon murder mystery series Death in the Ozarks, Murder on the Mississippi & Death for Sale, an award-winning, bestselling Jewish LGBTQ historic fiction novel Caged Time, a short story anthology Connections, and a business book The Accidental Change Agent. In addition, my horror script was shortlisted at the 2024 Los Angeles Crime & Horror Film Festival.

Reading and writing are my passions, when I'm not hiking one of the amazing trails in Austria or elsewhere.

Second mystery on preorder!

Some exciting news: the second book in the Sally Witherspoon mystery series, Murder on the Mississippi, is now on preorder!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F...

I still can't believe it.

Here's the blurb:
Six months after the events in Death in the Ozarks, Sally Witherspoon is trying to put that terrible time behind her. She books a river cruise down the Mississippi to get away and relax.

An incredible, emotional read. I loved the historical parts coupled with deep family stories and connections. The characters all feel so real exploring so many themes of humanity. Highly recommended! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

“With that, he took his coat from Sam and hurried out the door, down the steps, and away from there.

He was almost running, so excited to be free of the fake David.

He shook that David off like a dog shakes off water. He looked up into the sky and watched the other David float away, far away.

“Wish he would never come back,” he said aloud.”
Erik S. Meyers, Caged Time

“David stayed at the small coffeehouse for hours as usual. He drank cup after cup of strong coffee until his hands shook. He ate many bagels and waited.

He was reserved and hid behind the newspaper, reading it again and again, not wanting to interact or be noticed by the people around him, even though he did steal a glance now and then.”
Erik S. Meyers, Caged Time
