WRITING IS JOY

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedI am writing and it is joy. Go forth and find joy in your writing or ask: why do it at all? There is joy in the art of discovery. The unseen mountain coming into view, the forest riverbend running wide into the plains-us seeing in ourselves what we've never seen before Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published.

IN DEFENSE OF MALE READERS

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedSo I see @J0hnADouglas has stirred the hornet's nest again, stating he does not want to read "books by women for women" and he wants to see a Men's Book Marketspace. I'm all like haha, that's John for you...https://x.com/J0hnADouglas/status/190249869067942752 Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published...but then I read some of the absolute vitriol being poured out on Male readers in the comments.😲Here's a hotflash for all the 'peace and tolerance' crowd: calling men stupid is not a great way to get them to read your books.To make it crystal clear: John doesn't hate Female Authors. John Douglas chose his pen name as an homage to Sara Douglass - and he gave me, a Female Indie Author a 5 star review. He has also boosted other female authors, and has been a great friend to any who know him.

Now, I myself love a great Romance, especially when it has a fantastic subplot - like the historical/supernatural one I'm reading now by @AdrianneNovels. I love well-written Romances like these, for they are a secret feminine pleasure of mine. And just like me, John has his own things he loves.He doesn't hate women - he just doesn't want to read books BY women FOR women. Most men don't. They want action and adventure, not Romantasy. But according to ugly comments in John's thread, these TradPub Literati think men are stupid if they want something besides what their ManHating Industry offers them.TradPub and their adherents are HAPPY John won't find anything for himself on the big box bookshelves. TradPub hates John, and they hate men like him who long for exciting, masculine-oriented action stories. Yet they're still mad men are walking away-the Publishing Industry is like a psychotic ex, screaming hate while demanding men return.I'm all for it. Keep up what you're doing, TradPub...Female Indie Authors like me will write stories Men love, and we will grab the Readers you ManHaters drove away.

IN MEMORIAM 💔@ChacingTheStorm

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedThere is no warning; we look up, and the young are swept away into the blue. And now I am old, old, saying all the things the old would say when I was young - "he was too young, too young... I would trade places, if I could..." We have no warning when we will go - and we can make our peace with that. But to see others struck, to watch them disappear, is sometimes too shocking for the soul to bear. I crossed paths with Chace online when he first started chasing the Storm; that innocent wonder at all things wild was a delight to me, in my little WonderBunker, viewing the world through the eyes of my own StormSpotters. https://x.com/ChacingTheStorm/status/1900933285120754169 Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedChace was enthusiastic, with a joy in all things weather related, and his love for the friends in the chase was his life...so it was not in my mind that I would open my feed and find him gone.https://x.com/JordanHallWX/status/190216898958691990 Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedThank God for Life everlasting; but remember those who wait, and mourn, for the young are snatched away on a breath of wind, and they are gone, gone, up into the great Storm...IN MEMORIAM💔for Chace Fly high into the skies, above the cloud and storm,with lightning in your eyes and the Sun to keep you warm; with thunder in your wings as you watch the maelstrom form, Soaring with the Spirit of the Storm...

BENEATH the BLOOD MOON

Dance with me beneath the Blood Moon

Deep in the Ancient Ways of the Heart;

the glimmering spirits, sublime, start

to sing the lost Eden-tree's tune -

Dance with me beneath the Moon;

the Beautiful Baleful Blood Moon
