Kit’s Return Out Now!
Sometimes, it just feels so much better to be bad.
On the run from human hunters, Kit and his small group of shifters have resorted to anything to survive. So they have become a band of thieves…or rather, make that a band of wannabe thieves. So when Bowie, another feline shifter, discovers them and offers to take them back to his coalition, Kit agrees although he is weary.
Bowie can’t help but feel bad for Kit. Not only is he scared and hungry, but once he reaches the coalition, Kit finds out he has a brother he never knew about. Not only that, there is something about Kit that calls to Bowie. Something that makes him want to protect the Lost Shifter and hold him tight in his arms.
Will Bowie and Kit find their happily-ever-after? Or are they destined for happily never after?
Excerpt:
Flipping damn it! Why couldn’t things in real life be as easy as they were in the movies? All Kit and his friends were supposed to do was walk across a thin plank of wood, and they would be inside a warehouse that would give them enough food to last a month.
Okay. Maybe the warehouse wouldn’t technically be giving them the food. But Kit was sure they wouldn’t miss the tiny little bit they’d take. After all, they wouldn’t want five young, vulnerable, homeless boys to starve to death now, would they? Who could be that heartless?
Kit took that back. Yeah, they probably wouldn’t give the flip of a tail about them since they were shifters, and most humans despised shifters. So Kit decided this was their way of sticking it to the man. Take that, humans! We’re going to take your nacho cheese and chips. Don’t you feel real sorry now?
He led the group, carefully walking across the plank. The problem was their shoes were wet from walking through the marshy ground that surrounded the building, not to mention they were two floors up. So if one of them fell, it was going to hurt like a mother fucker.
Kit heard a grunt from behind him. He looked back to see Kian barely holding on to West by the back of his shirt, while Max was hanging upside down on the board. As for Rhys, he just had an I-didn’t-do-nothing expression on his face. Kit let out a groan. Some band of thieves they made. It was a miracle they hadn’t ended up on that show World’s Stupidest Criminals. The worst thing was, so far this was the best a heist had gone down for them.
But to be fair, none of them had been born into this life. They had turned to it in desperation when they had been kicked out of their adoptive homes once their parents had found they were shifters. All of them had been on the run until they stumbled across each other and formed a group of sorts. It was much easier to survive in the world when you had somebody at your back…and front and right and left side.
“Can you guys get it together, so we can get this over without killing ourselves, or worse, getting caught?” Kit whispered.
They all managed to get back onto the board, thanks to their feline ability. Although, come to think of it, none of them should have found themselves in that situation in the first place. Any normal feline shifter should have been able to just run across the beam with no problem at all. But then again, Kit and his friends weren’t normal felines.
No, they were some freaks of nature who had been raised believing that they were human. Then one by one—bam!—each of them had suddenly found himself shifting into some different type of jungle cat. After that, their lives had all gone to pot. Kit had just been getting ready to go into his senior year of college. He’d planned on getting involved in the criminal justice system. Now, here he was, once again getting ready to break the law. Oh, sweet irony, she could be one nasty bitch at times.

An Owl Surfaces Out Now!
Sometimes, the one love you seek is closer than you ever imagined.
As an Elf Owl shifter, Kayden is the smallest one in his Parliament. But that hasn’t stopped him from being an important member. An IT tech, he can hack his way into any computer system. Plus, he’s in charge of his own group’s security. Now, if he could only get their leader, Austin, to notice him for something more than his technical skills.
Austin takes his job as the leader of his small Parliament of Owls seriously, which leaves little time for himself. However, he can’t help but notice the cute, small tech, Kayden. But Austin knows he has no time for romance. Not if he wants to keep his group safe.
Will Austin and Kayden find a way to get together? Or are they forever doomed to be alone?
Excerpt:
Austin ran his hand through his hair in frustration while he thought about how he was going to approach the topic at hand without making a fool of himself. Or, worse, scaring Kayden away.
“I want to talk about us,” Austin finally said.
“What about us?” Kayden asked with a slight tilt of his head.
“Come on. You have to admit that you feel it, too.” Austin held his breath as he waited for Kayden to deny it.
“Admit what?” Kayden asked as he looked down and began to rub his toe around a ripped hole in the rug.
“You’re attracted to me.”
Kayden’s head whipped up. His eyes were wide with terror, and his mouth was in an O shape. “Who told you?”
Austin reached out and cupped the back of Kayden’s head. Austin almost let out a sigh when he felt how soft Kayden’s hair felt. It only served to make Austin eager to keep on touching, to see how other places of Kayden felt.
“Leon made me realize that I’ve been an idiot and missing all the looks you were throwing my way.”
The most adorable flush covered Kayden’s cheekbones. “Shit.”
Austin let out a small chuckle. “Don’t worry. The reason I hadn’t noticed them earlier was because I was throwing them your way, too.”
Kayden let out a small gasp. “You were?”
“I think I fell for you when we found you and your brother hiding out in that dumpster. You were so scared and alone. I would have done anything to protect you from that moment on.”
“You don’t feel the same way about Kyle?”
“No, there’s somebody else that has those kinds of emotions toward Kyle.”
“Who?” Kayden asked, his eyes once again growing large.
Austin placed a chaste kiss on the tip of Kayden’s nose. “That’s not my place to say. When the Owl in question is ready to make his move, we’ll all know. He’s just not ready yet.”
Kayden gave Austin a big frown. “Fine, but if this mysterious Owl breaks Kyle’s heart, I’m going to claw his eyes out. I don’t care how big he is.”
The funny thing was Austin could see Kayden trying to do just that. While Kayden might be small, he made up for it in spunk and fire. He had to, in order to survive in the untamed world after he and his brother had been exiled by their Parliament.
“I wouldn’t worry about that. This Owl in question would give his own life in order to protect Kyle,” Austin assured him. “Now get ready.”
“For what?” Kayden blinked up at him.
“I’m going to kiss you now.”
“Okay, but just so you know, I’ve never kissed anybody.”
Shocked to his feathers, Austin paused. “You’re twenty-two. How is it that you’ve gone this long without kissing another man?”
Kayden shrugged. “Well, before, I didn’t dare do anything because I was afraid of getting caught and exiled. Then Kyle and I were a little too busy trying to stay alive to worry about anything else. Then you guys found us, and I didn’t want anybody to touch me but you.”
Stupefied, Austin asked, “So you’re a virgin?”
Blushing even more, Kayden nodded. “Does this mean that you don’t want me anymore?”
As if. Austin just felt like he’d won the frigging jackpot. His mate was untouched, pure…that was almost unheard of. It was also as hot as hell. So much so, that Austin nearly came in his pants at that exact moment.
Austin was just going in for his long anticipated kiss, when he heard it…the cries of enemy Owls and the ominous thuds as they landed on the roof. Austin let out a loud curse.

Where is Kit’s Return?
Have no fear, Kit’s return will be coming out. I just bumped it back a couple of weeks. Not only do I still have this mysterious illness from hell, but I wanted to make sure that Kit and An Owl Rises were both quality books. The last thing I wanted was to send out some crap to you guys, just to make a deadline. You mean too much to me for me to do that to you.
On the boring side of things, I’m buried in snow. There is so much of the white stuff outside that I’m hoping it goes away in time for GRL this year. LOL Joie can’t even go out and play in it, because it’s so cold outside. Today, it felt like it was 20 below zero once you figured in the wind chill factor! So, I’m staying in as much as possible.

But I do have a release that came out tonight with MLR press, the Dire Wolf Who Stole My Heart. It’ the first book in a new series so feel free to check it out!

Might’s Karma Out Now!
Might’s Karma out now! (click picture for link)
When two bad boys meet, nothing good can come of it.
Might is the biggest outcast in the pack of Wolves that he lives with. Not only is he actually an Eagle shifter, but he’s also half-human, but that hasn’t stopped him from sleeping with every available male in the pack. Hey, call him a slut, but he likes to have a good time.
Adan left the pack ten years ago, before they could have a chance to exile him. Always breaking the rules, fighting, and committing petty crimes, he caused nothing but trouble for the pack. Now he’s back, and the question everyone is asking is: has he changed his old ways?
Then he meets Might, and he knows he has to have the Eagle shifter. But when these two bad boys clash, will they cause nothing but trouble? Or will they be able to tame each other?
Excerpt:
Nobody has dibs on Might. In case you haven’t noticed, he’s a grown man, capable of making his own decisions. One of which was that he doesn’t want anything to do with you. So if you know what’s good for you, you better never let me see you harassing him again,” Adan warned.
“Fine, I’ll go. I just hope you know who you’re defending,” Sal snorted.
“I know what I need to know; that’s all that you should be concerned about.”
Adan gave another snarl that made Sal jump, then run away. There were several chuckles at Sal’s expense. Each and every one of which Adan took great pleasure in.
Once Sal was out of sight, Adan looked back at Might. The Eagle’s cheeks were bright red, and there was so much shame in his eyes it nearly broke Adan’s heart. Nico had been right; Might was still hurting because he’d never gotten over his past.
“You didn’t have to do that,” Might said in a low voice.
“Yes, I did. Nobody deserves to treat you that way.”
“Of course, they do. I deserve it after the way I’ve acted since I’ve come here,” Might said.
“Everybody deserves to get a second chance, even you.”
Might glanced up from under the fringe of his blond hair. “I think it’s a little too late for that for me.”
“It’s never too late. You should hear some of the things I’ve done.” Adan gave a small chuckle.
“What kind of stuff?”
“Why don’t you let me take you out to dinner tomorrow night, and I can tell you.”
Adan held his breath as he waited for Might’s answer. After the way he’d treated the Eagle earlier, Might would have every right to say no. In fact, Adan would be shocked if he didn’t.
“I thought you didn’t want to be with me?” Might asked with a frown.
“This would be a real date. There would be no sex involved.”
“Then why would you want to be around me at all?”
“Because you need to go out with somebody who treats you like a real person instead of a piece of meat. You’re better than that.”
The expression of pure puzzlement on Might’s face tugged on Adan’s heart. The Eagle really did believe that was all he was good for. Adan made a vow then. No matter how hard he had to work, he would prove to Might that he was more than just a ****. That he was a nice guy, who had so much to offer the world.

Crimson and Glitter Out Now!
Crimson and Glitter – Crimson #3 (Click picture for link)
Sometimes love can lead to one’s own demise, no matter how much they try to stop it.
Jayce has always felt it was his duty to protect those who were in trouble. When a new vampire trainee, by the name of Carlos, turns up at Jayce’s door asking for help, Jayce is powerless to stop himself. But Jayce soon finds out that Carlos has deep, dark secrets—ones that could very well get them both killed. Jayce could easily show the young vampire the door, were it not for the fact that Jayce has developed strong feelings for Carlos.
What’s a vampire to do? Go for love? Or save his own hide?
Excerpt:
The sound of gunfire filled the air, and for once, it didn’t mean Jayce was in trouble or running for his life. Crazy at it was, nobody was more surprised than him at the situation.
Instead, he was walking behind a line of students. They were all on their stomachs, one eye pressed against the scope of their sniper rifles as they shot at practice targets. As their instructor, Jayce moved up and down their ranks, giving them advice and praise where needed.
While Jayce knew he should be giving all of the students a fair amount of attention, his gaze kept returning to one student in particular—Carlos. Or as he might as well be called, the forbidden fruit. Not only was he one of Jayce’s students, but he was also too young.
But it was so hard to remember those rules whenever he got an eyeful of Carlos. With his creamy Latino complexion, short dark hair, big brown eyes and small stature, he called out to Jayce like no other had in a long time. Then there were also Carlos’s full lips that just begged to be kissed. His rounded cheeks that were made to be stroked, and his slightly muscular chest that seemed to be made for Jayce to explore.
Jayce shook his head. He had no right to be thinking such things. If Carlos knew his instructor had a teenage crush on him, he would no doubt report him in a second. Then Jayce would lose his new job at the Vampire Federation League. But, that hadn’t stopped him from eyeing up Carlos for the past six months that he’d been Jayce’s student.
Since Jayce had just worked freelance before, he didn’t want to go back to that. More than once, he’d found himself working on the wrong side of the law and having to do things that he hadn’t liked. So the last thing he wanted was to lose his current job over some hot body. Jayce looked back over at Carlos…well, maybe the last thing he would do would be to lose it over a hot body. The vampire was damn good-looking He just might be worth the risk.
Then again, Carlos had yet to show a bit of interest in Jayce. So the whole point could be moot. For all Jayce knew, Carlos just saw him as an instructor and nothing more. Which would be a huge blow to Jayce’s ego since he’d never had to work hard to get any man. Not that he had a huge ego or anything. It was just that guys seemed to gravitate to him, and who was Jayce to say no?
Jayce walked down the row again, stopping once at a female named Emma to adjust her position. Once she managed to fix that for good, she was going to be one hell of a sharpshooter. She might even be better than Jayce. She looked back at him, her long, dark ponytail whipping around her pale face, blue eyes twinkling with guilty mischief.
“Sorry about that,” she said. “I promise to work harder on it.”
“You better. You never know when your or another’s life may depend on your shooting skills. Sometimes you’ll only get one shot, so each one has to be accurate,” Jayce reprimanded her.
“Don’t worry, by the time I’m out of here, they’re never going to know what hit them.” Her upper lip lifted up in a snarl to reveal one fang.
Jayce raised an eyebrow. “And who exactly is they? Somehow I don’t think you’re talking about the enemies of the vampires.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Care to share with me?”
“Nope.” She then turned around and began shooting again.
So that’s how she wanted it. Fine, Jayce would leave it be for now. He knew he would get to the bottom of things eventually. It was only a matter of time before he got her to open up to him.
Jayce began to move down the line until he was right behind Carlos. Jayce couldn’t help but admire that fine ass. Round but not too big, it was the perfect size to be a handful. Jayce could just imagine grabbing it as he fucked Carlos from behind as the other man arched his back in the throes of pleasure, a look of pure bliss on his face.
Jayce snapped out of lust mode and put himself into instructor mode. Carlos had good form, and he was hitting the target most of the time. All he needed was a bit more practice, and he would make a damn good sniper. Which was a great thing since the League needed more snipers. They were desperately short on them, hence the reason why they’d turned to somebody who only did freelance work, like Jayce, for help.
Carlos stopped shooting long enough to glance over his shoulder at Jayce. Jayce felt himself captured in that brown-eyed stare. His heart began to pound, and he even felt a fluttering in his stomach.
Shit! What was going on with him? Sure, he’d been with plenty of men, but all of those had been wham, bam, thank you mans. None of the guys had ever made Jayce feel this way. At the moment, he was one step away from drooling he was so mesmerized by Carlos.
“How am I doing?” Carlos asked.
“Not too bad,” Jayce replied. “You just need to practice a little more on pulling to the left when you shoot. That’s what making it so you don’t hit your target every time.”
Carlos smiled at him, and it was so sexy, yet sweet at the same time that Jayce could feel himself getting hard just from looking at it. Never before had he been glad that the night was cool, and he was wearing a long, heavy jacket. Otherwise, the other vampire would have seen just how much of an effect he had on his instructor.
“Thank you. I hope that someday I can be as good as you are,” Carlos said.
“Who knows, you may just get better than me.”
Carlos ducked his head a bit. “Naw…everybody knows that you’re the best. You’re a legend amongst sharpshooters and wannabes like me.”
Jayce knew he should have been pleased with the praise, but it only served to remind him what a big target he was. If it wasn’t somebody who wanted to take him out so they could claim the number one slot, then it was a relative of one of his former targets looking for vengeance. Either way, he had to live his life always looking over his shoulder. Which was a sucky way to live.
Not too long in the past, Jayce had lived a carefree life, going from one party to another. Those days were way behind him, though. Now, he mostly stayed in for fear of being caught off-guard and killed. It wasn’t exactly the best way to live. It was a lonely and sad life.
Which was the main reason why Jayce had taken on this job. With it came some security, and he could actually interact with others without worrying about one of them going for his throat…for the most part. There were still a few jerks around, no matter where Jayce went. But he’d quickly learned who those were and had avoided them for the most part.
Walker, one of the other instructors, came over. He was all muscles, had his dark hair in a buzz cut, icy blue eyes and a menacing look about him. Jayce’s first impression of the guy was that he was a meathead soldier type, but Jayce had quickly found that he had been wrong. Walker was as big a rule breaker and cut-up as Jayce. So the two had become fast friends.
“How’s it going?” Walker asked.
“Fine. Where are your students?” Jayce asked.
“They’re sparring right now.” Walker let out a yawn.
Alarmed, Jayce asked, “Shouldn’t you be supervising them? What if one of them gets hurt or something?”
Walker shrugged. “Then they’ll learn from their mistake. It’s not like I gave them real weapons or anything, and we are immortal. So it’s not like anybody is going to get killed. They may just get an ouchie or two.”
“And they call me the irresponsible one,” Jayce drawled. “You have that award tied up and in the bag.”
“Hey, they told me to teach them to fight. They never told me to be their nursemaid. That’s two entirely different things. You want to ditch this place and go get something to eat?”
Jayce was aghast, which said something since it took a lot to shock him. “No! I have students with live rounds here. I can’t just walk away and leave them unsupervised.”
“You sure can be a buzzkill sometimes.”
Jayce gave a half-laugh. “I think that’s the first time I’ve ever been accused of that. Usually, my friends are telling me to rein it in a bit.”
Walker shook his head. “Okay, I’ll let you off, but only if you promise me something.”
“What?” Jayce asked warily.
If there was one thing he’d learned about Walker, it was not to trust him whenever he said only if you promise me something. Walker always had something up his sleeve. Be it having somebody else doing his laundry for a week or worse, cleaning out his car. Jayce had gotten himself stuck doing that once, and he still had nightmares from that experience. Jayce never knew that so many different types of fungi existed until he’d seen them in Walker’s vehicle. And the smell…oh god, don’t even get him started on that. It had smelled worse than a hundred corpses that had been left outside to rot for a week or two.
Walker held his hands up in surrender. “It’s nothing bad this time, I promise you. You’ll probably even like it, if you let yourself loosen up a bit.”
Jayce decided to let the loosen up comment slide. “Okay, I’ll bite. What do you want me to do?”
“Get your head out of your ass and hook up with that Carlos student of yours already. I’m getting sick of watching you moon over him all day.”
Jayce jerked in shock. “Have I been that obvious?”
“Only to me and that’s because I’m your friend and I know the look you give when you want a taste of somebody. Trust me, you’ve been giving it to Carlos in spades. The only thing missing is your tongue hanging out while you pant over him.”
Jayce ran a hand through his short hair. “As much as I would love to, I can’t, and we both know it. Carlos is my student, and that means he’s hands off.”
Walker cocked a brow at him. “Says who?”
“The nice big rule book they gave us when we hired on to work here.”
“Awww…nobody pays attention to those damn rules.” Walker made a shooing motion with his hand. “I’ve known of tons of cases where instructors have gotten up close and friendly with their students.”
“I’m sure you have,” Jayce shot back sarcastically.
“Yeah, I’ve even done it myself a few times.”
“You have not.”
Walker suddenly grew serious, the smile fading into a stoic expression. “Hey, we’re friends, right? I would never lead you down a path that would get you in trouble. I’m not that type of person. Would you trust me to have your back if we went into battle?”
“Of course I would,” Jayce replied, not missing a beat.
“Then trust me on this.”
Jayce still hesitated. “I don’t know. Carlos has never shown any interest in me. What if I make a move on him and he gets insulted and reports me? It’s just too risky.”
Walker let out a chuckle. “Oh, he wants you all right. I’ve seen the way he stares at you when you’re not looking. It’s like he’s a dog and you’re a piece of rawhide that he wants to take a bite out of.”
“That’s the second time you’ve made a dog reference. You sure you’re a vampire and not a werewolf?”
“We all have our secrets,” Walker said ominously.

Cross Checking Out Now!
Cross Checking – Blue Line Hockey #9 (Click picture for link)
Sometimes, your worst enemy can become the one you love the most.
Leo may be one of the best goaltenders in the minor hockey league, but he has one chink in his armor—Dern. A forward from Leo’s rival team, the two of them get along like fire and paper. Leo lives to stop Dern from scoring, and Dern relishes in getting a puck past Leo.
Then one night while Leo is out clubbing, he runs into Dern. Instead of squabbling, the two of them of end up heating up the sheets. But is it just a one-night stand? And if not, do the two of them have a chance of changing from enemies to lovers?
Excerpt:
Finally, after two hours, Dern got up and made his way to the bathroom. Leo immediately sprung to his feet and followed. He waited in the darkened hallway for Dern. After a few minutes, the bathroom door opened, and Dern came out.
“Leo, is that you?” Dern asked.
“Yeah, I wanted to talk to you,” Leo said, his heart hammering while his stomach flipped and flopped.
“What about? I thought you got out everything you wanted the other morning.”
“It’s about that. I was a real ass, and I wanted to tell you how sorry I was.” Leo nipped at his bottom lip while he waited for his answer.
Dern moved in a little closer, a half-smile playing on his face. “I didn’t know you cared enough about me to give a damn if my feelings were hurt or not.”
“I don’t. I just knew that I was an asshole and wanted to tell you that I’m not too proud to admit it.”
Dern moved in until he had Leo pinned in against the wall again. He seemed to like to do that a lot. Not that Leo was complaining, since good things usually followed after Dern did that. But still, Leo wouldn’t mind if the roles were reversed for at least once.
“Do you know what I think?” Dern asked, before he moved in to lick the side of Leo’s neck.
“What?” Leo replied in a shaky voice. God, how he loved Dern to kiss and nibble him there.
“I think you enjoyed the other night just as much as I did. So much so, that you would love nothing more than to have a repeat session.”
Leo let out a low laugh as he looped his arms around Dern’s neck. “Maybe that’s just wishful thinking on your part.”
Dern reached down and grabbed Leo’s hard ****. “No, I’m pretty certain we both want it. Come home with me tonight.”
“And why would I want to do that? We hate each other.”
Even as Leo said that, he began to rain his own set of kisses down Dern’s neck, reaching his hands up to run them through Dern’s hair. Dern, for his part, was grinding their hard cocks together, sending jolts of pleasure through Leo.
“Let’s just say that I’m beginning to find you a little more tolerable,” Dern said.
“Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about you. Yes, I’ll come home with you tonight.”

Assassin Found Out Now!
Assassin Found – Lost Shifters Book 27! (Click picture for link)
Sometimes, you have to go back home in order to find your future, no matter how painful your past may be.
Raised by a cruel master, Tiger shifter Rico now works as a freelance assassin. He’s just drifting around with no real home when he hears that Mitchell’s coalition is looking for assassins. Left with no real options, Rico decides to see what the coalition has to offer.
Eros is just a Lynx shifter and has never found a place in the coalition. Since he’s so small, he can’t be a soldier, and that makes him feel like he’s inadequate. Then one day he meets the new assassin, and Eros feels an instant attraction.
Will Rico be able to see past the Lynx and recognize the real man behind? Or is Eros doomed to be alone forever?
Excerpt:
After his tray was loaded, he stood there, looking for a place to sit. When he spotted Eros at a table all by himself, Rico smiled. Breakfast wasn’t even over, and already it was looking to be one hell of a fine good day.
Rico walked over to Eros’s table and sat down opposite of him. Eros glanced up, both horror and shock written all over his cute little face. As soon as he saw it was Rico, his expression was replaced with worry. Now just what would make Eros worry about Rico sitting with him?
“You might want to sit somewhere else,” Eros said.
“Why would I want to do that? I happen to like your company,” Rico asked, surprised by Eros’ reaction. The Lynx could be one strange kitty at times.
“If you’re seen with a Lynx, it won’t be good for your reputation.” Eros bit on his bottom lip as if admitting to that hurt him.
Rico reached over and pulled Eros’ lip free. “Here’s a little news tip for you. I’ve never given a damn what others think of me. You develop a pretty thick skin as an assassin. It may come as a surprise to you, but we’re not all that well-liked either.”
Eros tilted his head to the side. “I guess I never thought of it that way. To tell you the truth, ever since we were first introduced, I haven’t thought of you as an assassin. I just think of you as Rico. Which I’m sure sounds stupid to you.”
It was as if somebody had reached into his chest and gently squeezed his heart. Rico knew then that he was a goner. Nobody had ever thought of him as anything other than an assassin. They had never stopped long enough to see that he was a real man underneath all the layers of black clothing—that was, until he met Eros.
Had things been normal, Rico would have asked Eros out for coffee or maybe even a movie. But things weren’t normal. It wasn’t safe for Rico to step out. If he were to take Eros anywhere and the small Lynx were to get hurt in the fallout, Rico would never forgive himself. No, Rico just had too many enemies and people gunning for his ass.
“It doesn’t sound stupid at all. In fact, it’s one of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me,” Rico said, his chest tight with emotion.

Warming Up Sebastian Available Now!
Available now from Extasy Books! (click picture for link)
Thrown into a world of paranormal of violence, there’s only one thing to do: create your own destiny.
Sebastian has been tossed into the thick of a war between the Birds of Prey and Blood Demons. He’s heard it all about fate, destiny, and this is how it’s going to be. Oh, hell no, it isn’t. Sebastian has his connections and will use them to help him and his mate Wren solve the problem of the mates’ loss of freedom.
Wren has been drawn to Sebastian since he laid eyes on him. Hurt by his refusal to even be near him, Wren feels at a loss of what to do until he follows Sebastian one night. Wren discovers that Sebastian may have been in this world a lot longer than they all ever knew.
Excerpt:
Sebastian would have made one rocking ninja. As he stole down the stairs of the Birds of Prey mansion, he was all stealth. He lived in the shadows, moved with the ease of a jungle cat and was as quiet as the spring wind. There was no way that anybody could hear him, much less catch him trying to sneak away. In fact, he was so good at this gig, he was thinking about changing his major at college to Ninja Extraordinaire. They still had professional ninjas, didn’t they?
Still, Sebastian couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty about stealing away like this. If Wren were to find out, he would be both livid and hurt. That was the last thing Sebastian wanted. For all his talk about not wanting a mate, a huge part of Sebastian had developed feelings for Wren.
It wasn’t like Sebastian didn’t plan on coming back, though. He just needed to pick up a few things from his apartment, and then he would return. If he was quick enough about it, he could do it without anyone noticing that he’d left at all.
Sebastian reached the bottom of the stairs and was just making his way to the door. His heart began to beat wildly in his chest. He was going to make it. For the first time in a month, he was going to get his first taste of freedom. Nothing could stop him now.
“Just where in the hell do you think you’re going?” a voice boomed from behind him.
Sebastian nearly jumped from his skin. He would recognize that voice anywhere. Mostly because it haunted him both during the day and at night, in his dreams. Wren!
Sebastian whirled around and was immediately transfixed at how good the warrior looked. Wren wore head-to-toe leather that molded to his tight, muscular body, leaving very little to the imagination. It made Sebastian want to throw himself at the man and not let go until he had every one of those dips and ridges memorized to perfection.
Then there was Wren’s to-die-for hair. It was streaked with nearly every shade of brown imaginable. While it was cut short, the front was long enough to hang over his deep, hazel eyes.
In short, Wren was everything Sebastian could want in a man, yet he could never touch. Despite the fact that they were destined mates. Especially if Wren found out what Sebastian really was. For if that were to happen, Sebastian had no doubt his scrawny ass would be kicked to the curb, Blood Demons or not.

Excerpt:
“Are you paying attention?” Andy demanded a bit sharply.
“Sorry, I got a bit distracted there for a moment,” Dalton admitted, an embarrassed heat coming over his face.
Andy gave a smile that almost made Dalton melt into a puddle.
“Well, I guess it’s easy to do that when we’re just sitting here talking about numbers and such,” Andy said.
Dalton nodded. Dear God, that accent of Andy’s was to die for. It was so warm that it seemed to roll over Dalton’s body like caramel. Dalton could sit there and listen to it all night long.
But all too soon it was time for them to leave, since they had school the next day so their curfews were all earlier. As Andy led Dalton out to his sports car, it was all Dalton could do not to drool with envy. Andy sure had one sweet ride and Dalton couldn’t even borrow his Dad’s beat up clunker. Yeah, it sucked to be him.
Andy used his fob to unlock the doors and Dalton got in, the smell of leather hitting him. He was so afraid of leaving behind smudge prints on the nice interior that Dalton didn’t even know where to put his hands. He finally settled for setting them in his lap.
Andy got in behind the wheel and started up the car. The engine was so nice and quiet that Dalton could hardly tell the car was running. It wasn’t until Andy backed up that Dalton was sure that the car was indeed on.
As they got on the road, an uneasy silence feel upon the pair. Usually Dalton had no problem with conversation, but when it came to Andy, he was always tongue-tied. Just one look at Dalton and Andy became an instant idiot.
“So, do you think you’re ready for that calculus test tomorrow?” Andy finally broke the silence.
“Thanks to you, yes I am.”
“Great. Sometimes it just takes somebody else showing you how to do it. We all learn differently.”
“You must be right, because I never got it when my instructor tried to teach it to me, but it’s a different story when you show it to me.”
Dalton didn’t add that he worked twice as hard for Andy because he didn’t want to let his friend down. Dalton loved it when he got a problem right and Andy would smile in delight. It made everything wrong in life seem to go away, if just for that moment.
“Maybe I should have you tutor me in history,” Andy said. “That’s one subject I suck at.”
Dalton gave a small laugh. “I don’t think that would work. I’m a year behind you.”
“Ah, but I asked around about you and found out that you were a huge history buff. Somebody told me that you know more than the teachers and that you don’t hesitate to point it out to them whenever they get something wrong in a lecture.”
Dalton ducked his head. Okay, maybe he’d done that a time or two , but it wasn’t his fault that the instructors couldn’t do their jobs right.
“Yeah,” Dalton admitted.
“You’re cheeky. I think I’m going to like you,” Andy sad.
Dalton hid a smile. Maybe there was hope for him yet.
