How Kellen Met His Selkie

I'm super excited to share that the first of the Death Dreamer Origins novellas, How Kellen Met His Selkie, will be released across e-platforms on November 21!

In time, Kellen will come to be known as the founder of Erbide, the First-Man of Kell, and a god in his own right.

But ten years after Eianna's betrayal and the death of his beloved Kaia, Kellen is nothing so much as tired.

His settlement is surviving, but not thriving. Kellen is alive, but not living. Until one day, he sees a pair of silver eyes glowing from the shallows of the sea ...

When it became apparent just how *big* the Death Dreamer world was going to be, I realised there were a handful of stories that I wanted to tell that didn't fit neatly into the novels. Kellen is the first - but definitely not the last - of these.

You might remember Kellen's story, told by Lorcan to a wide-eyed Lyda under the light of the Eilin stars. This novella takes place ten years after Kellen fled Eilan, and gives some more hints as to the origins of Lyda and Lorcan's world.

AND!

I wanted to give something back to the readers who have been so incredibly kind about To Dream of White & Gold. So, if you sign up to my mailing list by October 31 (rkhart.net), How Kellen Met His Selkie will be delivered to your email inbox in early November, giving you an early and exclusive look at the man who fell in love with the sea.

I can't wait to share my story with you!

Fulfilling a lifelong dream feels … well, a bit weird, really; I’m sure it will sink in at some stage.

If you’re a new subscriber, welcome, and thanks so much for joining (especially to the arc readers who joined - that really means the world to me). I don’t post muc...
