Freedom Texas Y'all!

The story behind the Jett Landry Saga is that there is an authoritarian movement in Texas that mirrors a global authoritarian movement that Jett's dad, private detective Markus Jackson, was working to uncover and expose. This sets the stage for the story of Jett's struggle to make things right (trying to avoid spoilers) and the parallel story of her friends, who create a movement to restore freedom to the people of Texas. "Freedom Texas Y'all" becomes a popular refrain on social media and on a viral podcast that unites people in the struggle against the authoritarian government and their abusis. It makes for a good story, but there are real-life struggles for freedom all over the world.

Because there is an ongoing humanitarian disaster going on in Ukraine due to Russia's indiscriminate bombing of Ukrainian cities, I have decided to donate half of what I make on this book series to the Odessa Foundation in Odessa, Ukraine through the GlobalGiving organization. The Odessa Foundation provides food, shelter, medicine, clothes as well as psychological support for families living in war zones.

GlobalGiving is a portal for finding local charity organizations trying to help people in need. There are a lot of organizations that need our help worldwide as there is no shortage of problems that need our collective help to address.

Jett Landry: Under the Gun

Hey!

Just wanted to drop a note and let you all know that I am currently working on the next phase of the Jett Landry Saga. As of now, it's going to be called Jett Landry: Under the Gun. I'm having fun exploring a film noir feel to this book. It's a mystery/adventure/thriller and it kicks off a whole new series with a new story line. I'm bringing back many of your favorite characters and I'm introducing some new characters to the Port City universe.

I've also been on Zoom with Micky Mitchell, artist, who created the covers for the first three Jett Landry novels. She came in with some great ideas/concepts that are going to look great on this next cover. A lot of cool stuff happening. I'll share more as it happens here.

We're a few weeks into 2022. I hope all of you are doing well, staying healthy and enjoying yourself. I want to thank everyone who's been reading the Jett Landry Saga on Kindle Unlimited. Hey Friends!

Whether you're with family, having a Friendsgiving, or just spending some downtime getting some rest and peace, I hope you enjoy your holiday. If you have to work, I'm so sorry. I promise I will not be out tomorrow or on Black Friday to go shopping (Maybe a trip to the Waffle House with a friend, as is my tradition on Thanksgiving).

Good News!

Since I released the third book in the Jett Landry Saga, The Fierce Warrior, that completes the first Jett Landry trilogy, there has been a renewed interest in the first book in the trilogy, The Fuse. Sales are going well for both the first and third books this week. Thank you for all of your support!

Meanwhile, I spent some time this weekend working on the second Jett Landry trilogy. I'm currently writing the second book in the new series (which will be the fifth book from the Jett Landry universe). I plan to release these books in closer proximity to each other so you won't have to wait as long to continue the story.

Release Date

Tomorrow, November 4th, Jett Landry: The Fierce Warrior, is available as an eBook and on Kindle Unlimited. This novel completes the trilogy known as the Jett Landry Saga. It's not the last story from the Jett Landry Universe, but it will bring closure to the current storyline. It's been quite a journey from 2015 when I decided to write that first novel and started brainstorming ideas to tomorrow, when the third novel in the series drops. I interviewed people to learn of their experiences. I listened to tons of podcasts to get an idea how this format can have a significant impact on people. I've read countless conspiracy theories and kept up with the dark and sleazy side of power and politics. I wanted to write a story that contrasted the goodness of the characters of Jett, Melinda, Ashley Garcia, Markus Jackson, Sonya Harris, Diana Jones with the dark, sleazy world of corruption and violence. I wanted to show how the good guys can still win, even if it's just by relentlessly refusing to stop being the good guys. I wanted to show the struggle, both against a cruel world and the internal struggle against one's own insecurities and how one character can rise above them to be a hero.

I've gotten a lot of good reviews and ratings, a lot of good feedback and made a lot of new friends along the way. It's more than a book. It's a change in lifestyle. A milestone in my growth as a person and a new career. I hope you read this book. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you write a review and give it a rating. Jett Landry: The Fuse

I've been talking a lot about The Fierce Warrior, because it is the newest of my books. But take a moment and check out The Fuse. This is my first book. It's the story of Jett as a lonely, awkward teenage girl who is on a quest to find herself and grow as a person. It's the story of a father and daughter as they deal with typical and not so typical teenage challenges. It's also the story of friendship and loyalty. Most of all, it's a good thriller as Jett's father, private detective Markus Jackson, gradually uncovers a conspiracy that leads to a race against time to save the day.
