Long time, no blog! What's new? Well, first off, Nine Lives, a Jett Landry Story, will be released on 8/10/23 on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.

I just sent my latest work in progress, Nine Lives, A Jett Landry Story, off for editing. We're getting closer!
Nine Lives is the second book in the Witness series and the fifth book in the Jett Landry Universe of stories. Jett is working with the feds to protect a witness to a federal crime. With grand jury proceedings looming, the bad guys will do anything to her out in the open. There will action, intrigue, drama, romance and all kinds of twists and turns. This is my most ambitious book to date and I'm excited about getting out in the world.

Under the Gun
Excerpt from Under the Gun, A Jett Landry Story
"You okay, kid?" Vinnie asked. Jett sat at the bar staring into her scotch and soda.
"Not really, it's been a tough week."
"You're gonna have those. You hear about that shooting in Midtown?"
Jett chuckled. "Yeah ... I heard about it."
Vinnie raised an eyebrow. "You gonna drink that or have a staring contest with it?"
"Why drink it when I'm winning the contest?"
End of excerpt.
I love this partial exchange between Vinnie, the bartender at the local bar Jett frequents, and Jett (there's more, but I just included this piece of it). I love dialogue between interesting, witty characters. I have a fascination with old-school film noir and, for Under the Gun, I kept this style in mind while writing. I wanted to write a book that you can visualize as both a modern story, with a modern character such as Jett Landry, but with the style and flair of an old-school film noir. That includes catchy dialogue, a variety of settings that range from the sleazy to high society to the unknown, secret back rooms and private parties. With flamboyant characters, down on their luck characters, and sadistic villains and Jett unravelling a mystery while exposing herself to both physical and psychological danger, all the while trying to determine who is setting her up and why. I hope you guys take a moment and check this book out. I just finished rereading it as I work on the sequel, Nine Lives, and it still holds up as a good book that keeps you engaged, keeps you reading, and keeps you in the story.

Long Time, No Blog!
Hey!
What's up? Thought I would check in and say hello. I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and are looking forward to an exciting Christmas and NYE celebration.
I've been working hard on the next novel in the Jett Landry universe. Nine Lives, a Jett Landry story will be the second book in the Witness series. Under the Gun, A Jett Landry Story, was the first book. I don't have a release date yet, but we're making progress. I'm working the amazing artist, Micky Mitchell, on another creative and powerful cover. This is going to be a fun, exciting book, and I want all the details to be just right so all my friends here on Goodreads will enjoy it.
Meanwhile, if you haven't read Under the Gun, A Jett Landry Story, this is a good time to get caught up. Under the Gun is a fast read and the story moves. It's s a thriller with an old-school film noir vibe.
On a personal note, it means a lot to me that so many people have read these books, written reviews, rated the books, and reached out to me. I can never thank you enough, but I will try by writing and publishing more books in the Jett Landry Universe for you to enjoy.

Hey!!! Long time, no blog.
How is everyone? Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support of the Jett Landry Saga. Under the Gun, a Jett Landry Story, is doing well and the first three books (The Fuse, Urban Legend, and The Fierce Warrior) continue to have steady support from readers. The sequel to Under the Gun, the second book in the Witness series, is in revisions as we read (when I finish typing this blog, I'm going to get back to work on that). This book is Nine Lives, A Jett Landry Story, and it picks up where Under the Gun left off. Jett goes to New Orleans, makes a new friend, and a bunch of new enemies.

Under the Gun, A Jett Landry Story, is out and available for purchase. Under the Gun is a new beginning for Jett and her friends in Port City, Texas. Jett has taken over the Private Detective business, Angelique is her assistant, and Melinda is a lawyer. Tanya lives in New York, and she is an investigative journalist.
Jett takes on a routine missing person's case, but as she follows up on leads, she finds herself running into reminders of her troubled past (referring to the events in Urban Legend), as well as discovering a cabal intent on bringing organized crime back to Port City.
She meets an array of interesting, eccentric characters, and everyone has an agenda, and someone is setting Jett up for a lethal confrontation.
Under the Gun is private detective book noir, the first entry in the Witness series. The next two books are Nine Lives and Bad Reputation. They are currently in development. Stay tuned!

Jett Landry: Under the Gun

Coming soon, a new Jett Landry Novel. "Under the Gun" should come out sometime this summer. I'm very excited about this book. It's a noir style mystery that takes Jett on a wild ride through Port City and beyond. The cover art looks fantastic so far, and I'll post some pics here soon. I also feel like this book is a good entry point for the Jett Landry story. While there are three books before it, you can enjoy this book even if you hadn't read the first three Jett Landry novels. Either way, it's going to be a thrilling page-turner that you won't want to put down.
Also, as a reminder, I'm donating half of what I make on the Jett Landry books to humanitarian relief for the people of Ukraine.
