Chairs take flight,
abuses hurled,
Sessions adjourned,
Flag of the question hour
never unfurled.

Position, opposition,
Voices building upto
yet another unruly session.
I hear… 'Mr Speaker Sir'
and a crack of the whip.
and cackles and babbles
like scenes of a stampede
on a godforsaken sinking ship.

Every moment… replete with dread.
I don't need to look
outward to be a cynic,
I have a parliament
inside my head.

As I ‘align my thoughts’,
My imagination takes flight.
As I ‘take a step back’,
My mind gallops in thoughtful delight.

As I ‘share great updates’,
Celebrating conformity’s grasp,
I yearn for a nocturnal rendezvous,
Over a joint with a talkative wasp.
