Snippets of a Vet's Life by Rod Graham
“This book began without a plan, just a few COVID-19 lockdown stories from a young vet who had no idea where the road would lead. At first, the stories were intended for my children or grandchildren, but others soon clamoured for a copy.”

Rod Graham “Right .. first impressions - I loved it. In fact, two stories in particular, a dog in one and a pony in another, were euthanised. I had tears rolling down my cheek, which, for a storyteller, is a good sign. In fact, just before I got to the dog story, I’d had a fairly stiff argument with my husband over the central heating blowing up and who had forgotten to call the technician. I went back to the sitting room and resumed reading. Got all choked up as Skip the kelpie wasn’t going to rally, and the little boy was cradling him as you, by now quite adept in such matters, gently broke the news to him that his much-loved Skip would indeed die. At that exact moment, my husband reentered the room. I’m weeping. He has never been more apologetic. ”
