RIP Hirsch Dorbian (1930-2010): Remembering a Wonderful Dad

Five years ago today, you left us and even though we’ve moved on because we’ve had no choice, you will never be forgotten.

Hope you’re doing well in that toolroom in the sky.

Yoko Ono Says John Lennon Was Attracted to Men

Didn’t previous Beatle biographers discuss this already? How is this news?

Here’s the link to this earth-shattering information.

Christmas Shopping Done Already??????????

I just read a post from someone online that she has just finished doing her Christmas shopping. Yes, you read that correctly– her Christmas shopping and today is October 14. It’s not even Halloween yet, folks!

Maybe she’s exaggerating or maybe she’s telling the truth or maybe–she’s full of it. Who knows? But what if she’s telling the truth? What do you think about people like this who are so insanely organized and structured in their lives that they will finish up a Herculean labor-intensive task like Christmas shopping well before anyone has gotten started?

What are your thoughts on this subject? Truth be told, Christmas shopping doesn’t really affect me because I’m Jewish. But it’s the idea of this that fascinates me.

Want to Do a Review Exchange?

Would you like reviews of your book to be posted on Goodreads and Amazon? I'm available and if you like to do an review exchange (where you review my book "Love, Loss and Longing in the Age of Reagan: Diary of a Mad Club Girl"), please let me know.

I'm pretty much open to any genre except horror and science fiction. Otherwise, I'm very game.

FYI, before I became a business blogger/journalist by day, I was a prolific theater critic and journalist. Once upon a time, I was a member of the Drama Desk, the American Theater Critics Association and the Professional League of Theater Women. So rest assured, that the review you will receive will be written in a compelling and cogent way. E-mail me at irisdorbian@gmail.com.

Welcome to My Blog! A Freshman Post

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I’ve launched a blog! Although the focus will largely be on my New Adult coming of age novel “Love, Loss and Longing in the Age of Reagan: Diary of a Mad Club Girl,” I’ll also be posting on other items that grab my attention for the day.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a personal and professional blog.

I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on the book as well as life itself. I also want to hear your thoughts as well.

Thanks for coming here for a visit and I hope this will be a regular occurrence for you!

Cheers!

Iris

Check Out New Review of My Book "Love, Loss and Longing in the Age of Reagan"

"This turned into a book I really liked and didn’t want to put it down and it left me questing till the end. I loved how the author finished the book--it was great to have questions answered. Parts made me laugh and others had me crying with them. Some books you get a little snap shot but this was nice to see Edie’s story and to know why she did something and how it turned out." Nice review of my book. Check it out: "Love, Loss and Longing in the Age of Reagan Diary of a Mad Club Girl" by Iris Dorbian http://romanticfanaticblog.com/2015/1...
