Paria Hassouri is an author, pediatrician, and mother of three young adults. She is also a marathoner, activist, wine enthusiast (bold reds preferred), storyteller, carbohydrate lover, avid reader (Jane Austen meet Cheryl Strayed), feminist, validator, and shoe addict--not necessarily in that order. A proud Iranian-American, she spent most of her formative years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Her personal essays have been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Huffington Post, Women's Running Magazine, Kevin MD, and Grown and Flown. Fast paced, suspenseful, a 37 week pregnant woman goes to ikea and there is a massive earthquake. Terrifying!

My favorite TJR read so far. This “romance” about a group of astronauts is not really a romance or about outer space. It’s about love and what matters most in life and the ending was exquisite!

I picked this backlist book up after hearing about the author’s recent passing. It was hilarious and sweet and sad and storytelling at its best.
