Why Black Americans Suffer the Burden of America's Homelessness?

'Among the nation's homeless population, there's a deafening disparity in race. At just 12 percent of the U.S. population, black Americans are a whopping 43 percent of the nation's homeless.  It has been well-documented that black Americans make up a larger share of America's poor and that black wealth is almost non-existent. However, racial gap found in America's homelessness cannot be not explained by poverty alone. According to a study from the Center of Social Innovation, network impoverishment explains why black Americans have a particularity hard time bouncing back financial hardship and are more likely to lose their homes.'  -- The Takeaway
