Grounding In Quarantine

Living in an apartment, in a concreted city, with strict Argentinian lockdown restrictions, makes grounding in quarantine difficult.

Since Lockdown was declared in Argentina, on 20th March, I’ve been unable to get to sleep. My nervous system has kicked in and is ready to fight or run. Neither of which is necessary right now. I need it to settle, rest and digest, so that I can switch off and get to sleep at night.

In this Vlog, I break out of quarantine, in search of a way to ground mysel...

Exercise Rant In Quarantine

Lockdown is more strict here in Argentina. We’re not allowed to go out for exercise in quarantine. I’ve had to find another way to stay fit indoors. I needed a workout routine that could be done without any equipment or special shoes. I don’t even have a pair of trainers with me. Looking for something suitable set me off on a rant.

In the end I found a woman in the US who lead a few other women on her street, in a simple and do-able workout. 6 feet apart of course. This calmed my exercis...

Lockdown Declared In Argentina

With only 128 active cases of coronavirus Argentina declared lockdown would commence on 20th March.

A policed enforced nationwide quarantine has come early, activating my nervous system. I was confused about exactly when it was going to start -thinking that midnight 20th March meant at the end of the day rather than the start of it.

I also didn’t know that we would be allowed out to buy food until I texted my friend to find out exactly what was happening. I had only shopped that day for my...

Approaching Lockdown In Argentina

The situation changed daily as we approached lockdown in Argentina. Flights from Europe and the US ceased. The British Ambassador urged all British Nationals to return to the UK.

The atmosphere in the city felt different: queues formed outside of pharmacies and supermarkets so as to limit the number of people inside.

Shelves emptied, which took me by surprise as there were only about 100 cases, to date, in Argentina. Men talked to their wives on the phone, following instructions on what t...

Tango In The Time Of Coronavirus

The tango community in Buenos Aires got together and decided to close all of the milongas and tango schools until 25th March 2020 because of the Coronavirus. Tango In The Time Of Coronavirus.

Many dancers come from all over the world, which puts Argentina at risk of the virus spreading further. It originally arrived from Italy when an Argentinian traveller returned from a visit. The association of milonga organisers have not waited for government enforced closures but have taken the lea...

The Most Beautiful Bookshop In The World

Whilst independent bookshops in the UK are closing down, Buenos Aires has more per capita than any other city on the planet. It is the bookshop capital of the world and this Vlog explains why.

National Geographic and The Guardian named one of them the most beautiful bookshop in the world. Watch this Vlog to take a visit.

The Benefits of Vlogging: Tango VLOG in Buenos Aires.

I’m super excited to share my FIRST EVER VLOG with you all! The benefits of Vlogging have already surprised me beyond expectation.

Equipped with only a GoPro and an old mobile phone, it shows you don’t need to spend a fortune on kit to tell a good story. My First Vlog in Buenos Aires is an introduction—a little background on my unusual childhood as well as a taste of my life here in Buenos Aires.

Vlogging combines my award winning filmmaking with my passion for tango as well as promo...

Is Psychosis Really a Spiritual Emergence Process?

Stansilov and Christina Grof coined the term Spiritual Emergency: when a spiritual emergence becomes too intense and becomes an emergency. They founded the Spiritual Emergence Network and their books The Stormy Search for the Self and Spiritual Emergency: When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis certainly validated my own spiritual experiences that were diagnosed as ‘psychosis’ by the medical profession.

But is it wishful thinking to say that what psychiatry calls psychosis is actua...

Crowdfunding for Book Trailer Music

Do you want to know a secret?

I have commissioned the TALENTED Boe Huntress to sing a STUNNING cover of a 1980’s track for My Beautiful Psychosis book trailer. When Boe Huntress sang Eye of the Tiger, it changed the whole meaning of the song. But the track I have chosen for the trailer is to be kept a secret…

I was also inspired by Gary Jules slowed down version of the Tears For Fears hit Mad World. So Boe has recorded a stripped down acoustic version – simplifying the original – th...

What A Psychic Predicted About My Writing

Eight years ago I went to see a psychic. Don’t judge me. I needed some reassurance at the time. This is what the psychic medium Dorothy Chitty said:

I started writing when I was first discharged from hospital way back in 1996. But, like psychic Dorothy said, I put it aside. It sounded self pitying and nothing I could feel proud of or wish to share with anyone. I tried again years later but I also put that aside. I wasn’t sure if the voice was authentically mine.

Two years after this p...
