I'm so glad your "picky patron" enjoyed The Sowing Season! My next book releases this October, which seems like a long ways away, but I'm sure it will go by fast. The book is set in a small town in Montana. If she liked The Sowing Season, she might enjoy Lead Me Home by Amy Sorrells while she is waiting. :)(less)

I responded to your FB message, but it looks like maybe you didn't receive that. Thank you for reaching out. Regarding a sequel, that's a good question! I haven't decided yet, but perhaps someday I will write a novella about what happens after The Sowing Season.

Regarding the words you noticed, you have a sharp eye! Both careering and careening have similar meanings, however, and I chose careering because of Rae and the double meaning of "career." I guess I thought I was being clever, haha!

Thanks so much for your note and for leaving a review. I really appreciate it!(less)

If grief was a child

If grief was a child, I'd findhim standingby my bed at night.I'd sense him breathing, evenwith my eyes shut good and tight. He'd prod me softly and whisper"Mommy"in the darkness, cold andblack...then climb in next to me andpokehis knees into my back. If grief was a child, I'd hearhis cryin the quiet dawn of day,and see his prints on thewindow, even though
