Great question. It's pretty clean and wholesome, but later in the story when Sonora gets married, it references making love several times. Here is an example: "I gasp when his lips are on my neck. I lean my head the other way, presenting him with more skin to do with as he pleases. He takes more and more and more. I may've missed reading and the horses, but I soon learn I've missed this even more." The scene ends there, so there's nothing explicit, but I would not give this one to a younger teen. For an older teen, it would be up to you and your comfort level.
