Thank you California for your beautiful weather, and my daughter Erin Mitchell who picked me up during LA rush hour traffic and returned me to the airport in the middle of the night.

Thank you Reader's Magnet for inviting me to join your booth and for all the lovely people who attended the largest book festival in the world last Saturday. We all had a fabulous time, and it was so great to share Two Moons of Merth: A Mythic Tale of the Royal Karda Family with anyone who would listen.

LA Times Festival of Books

Two Moons of Merth: A Mythic Tale of the Royal Karda Family

The conversation started, "Do you know your book has fifteen 5-star reviews on Amazon?" Well yeah, I'm thinking if only half the people who said they would write one did, then there'd be at least 150 more. As it turns out this was some sort of criteria for book marketer, Reader's Magnet to be interested in featuring Two Moons of Merth in their booth at the upcoming LA Times Festival of Books 2024, located at the USC campus in Los Angeles this coming April 20 and 21st. They are expecting over 160,000 people this year so it will be a great time to connect with potential readers, and yes, my grandkids and daughter will be there to support me. SO, HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE. I'LL BE IN THE PURPLE SECTION.

Author Interview with Brad Haizlip

So the interview with Brad Haizlip went well. He makes his subjects feel at ease, and even with Belle Pepper demanding some play time, he didn't skip a beat. Please check it out here And feel free to share with others.

Buy Directly from the Author

It's so odd, I had considered opening a Shopify account to sell my book directly and I was surprised to find out Ingram Spark, my printer and distributor did not drop ship books directly to customers, then a few days later I received an email announcing their new program to do just that. Whoopie! Serendipity. I don't even have to have a Shopify account, but maybe I will do that in the near future anyway.

Indie publishing is the wave of the future and I'm tickled to be a part of it. In other great news, I recently did a book giveaway, and 1,970 ebook downloads of Two Moons of Merth happened in one day. Sure hope to get lots of reviews from this effort.

So here you go two links to buy my books.

Happy New Year!

After a thrilling and busy holiday season, with our grandkids ages 6 and 9, we have really been hanging out at home in front of the fire. Activities like cleaning out texts and emails are high on the list of boring and noble enterprises at this time of year. Made a great discovery and I'm not going to write it twice, so I'm directing you to my Facebook page: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%...

Have a safe and happy new year!

If You Missed It

It was really fun working with the Authors Show the other day. Don McCauley is very professional, and my interview went well. I mostly discussed with him Two Moons of Merth, for which I am currently working on a sequel, titled Jaxyl. If you missed my interview with the Authors Show, then please click here.

Happy National Pet Day!

description

I live in the most unique little town where you might just run into a gal like this. No, she's not my real pet but I've been struggling to come up with a suitable name for her.

My real pets are Belle Pepper and Guntur Pepper, two very loving dachshunds. We most recently had to put their older brother, Cayen Pepper, down. This is the hard part of owning a dog, outliving them. They give their whole being to you, showing you unconditional love in a way no other being can do.

I have heard from other dog owners that have gone through this, they will never have another dog. I understand the feeling.

From our house to yours. I hope you are having a wonderful day with your pet!

Make My Day!

description

It's little things like this comment from a reader, which spark a positive moment in a writer's life. May you have a remarkable day too!

A Blast of Sunshine

I recently had the good fortune to meet author Shiobhan Curham, when she visited my hometown. What a delightful friend she quickly became as we hiked together, practiced yoga, and even went to a poetry reading by my good friend and award-winning poet, Wendy Taylor Carlisle. When I first met Siobhan I brought her two of my latest novels. I am currently reading her book, The Paris Network by Siobhan Curham and thoroughly enjoying it. Check her out on Amazon.
