The Card of the Day: The Three of Cups
“Charisma.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Three of Cups portrays the famous Three Graces from Greek mythology. The Graces are goddesses of charisma. It was said wherever they walked, flowers sprang up, and joy and laughter abounded. The Graces (also called Charities) each stood for attributes you can embrace to elevate your personal energy, transforming it from depressive to jubilant. We get our word "Charisma" from the three Charities (Graces). Charisma is that magical energy which makes others like you. Charisma is a gift all of us can develop. Anyone can increase their personal charisma by embracing their authentic light, lightening up, and bringing positive energy to others.
Does the energy in your environment feel bogged down? Do you feel too distracted by stress to even think about lightening up? Did you know that you can make your world happier by embracing your own charismatic energy?
The Three of Cups depicts the three Graces in their unique colors: red, white, and gold. The names of the Graces are Euphrosyne, Aglaea, and Thalia.
Euphrosyne is in the red robe. Her name means “to delight, cheer, gladden.” Euphrosyne shows that our environment becomes more vibrant when we embrace our humor. Any time we make someone’s day better with a smile, or lift the energy with laughter we are channeling her gift. Euphrosyne's message is "lighten up!" Use humor to diffuse what you are afraid of. Laughing at what brings you anxiety is a useful tool for overcoming it. Red is the color of courage, vitality, and passion.
Aglaea is in the white robe. Her name means “radiance, bright splendor, and light.” Every time you are sharing your inner radiance, you are embracing her gift. When you are embracing your inner light, you create a palpable positive force of energy around you that others will immediately perceive. Being relaxed in who you really are causes others to feel safe enough to open up to you. When you look into another's eyes and see that their inner light is also sacred and radiant, you are touching Aglaea's gift. White is the color of purity, truth, and Spirit.”
Thalia is in the golden robe. Her name means “to warm, to foster, to bloom.” Each time you patiently nurture something (yourself, a talent, a dream, a child) you are embodying Thalia energy. Tending to your hopes and wishes makes life meaningful. Thalia brings success through gentle tending of your goals. She also teaches that helping others with the very same things you struggle with, is the quickest way to boost your own feelings of self worth and value. Gold is the color of success, wealth, and the warmth of the sun.
Everyone can elevate their personal charisma. Like any skill, the more you use it, the more natural it will become to access. Charisma raises energy. It transforms the feeling of a place as if by magic. That is why talented people exuding tons of personal charisma get top dollar. We want them to raise our energy, and bring us the same joy, through music, words, and entertainment.
Today, tap into your personal charisma through humor, radiating your authentic light, and offering warmth and kindness to others. Watch your environment immediately improve with the gifts of the Graces.

The Card of the Day: The Four of Wands
“Celebrate.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The imagery of the Four of Wands is fairly straightforward. It shows a party or celebration happening. The figures on the card are dancing, full of mirth. The Four of Wands is all about connecting with others for no other reason than to have laughter, humour, and fun. The Four of Wands also reminds you to celebrate your rites of passage. It is important to mark even small achievements and accomplishments with a moment set aside as special, to experience the joy of what you are manifesting.
When is the last time you had fun for no reason? Do you need to "lighten up?" Do you think you can't enjoy yourself because there are twenty-million unfinished things to do? Do you accomplish one thing, then race to the next, without acknowledging what you just achieved for yourself?
The Four of Wands appears to remind us that having occasional fun isn't something to feel guilty about. It is necessary to remain a balanced human being! Sometimes there is just no substitute for sipping a cool glass of wine outdoors on a balmy June evening with someone whose company you enjoy. Nothing beats a hot cup of cocoa and a good book when it’s cold outside. There will always be a long list of unfinished things to do. Whether you take a break or not, they'll still be waiting for you..... So why not return to your tasks in a good mood? Celebrate an accomplishment you made, or a goal you reached. Treat yourself. Celebrate that you went to the gym today. You could even just celebrate because it's another day, and you're alive! Life isn't just about flitting from one busy task to the other. It's also about occasionally stopping yourself, and just enjoying the present. Look outside at how pretty the light dances off of the green leaves.
The Four of Wands doesn't necessarily mean you have to go out and party. It's a little less intense than that. Sometimes it just reminds us to connect with people that matter to us. Send some light hearted messages. Write a sweet card. Remind yourself of the really exceptional people in your life, and show them how grateful you are that they exist. Brighten their day if things have been getting heavy for them. Tell a funny story. The best people in our lives are gifts that make our journey through the hills and valleys so much more pleasant.
Today, the Four of Wands gives you a clear message: “Have some fun!”
*Four of Wands in a Love Reading

Make sure that you are marking your important rites of passage. As a couple, you may also want to give yourselves over to pleasurable pursuits or socializing. This card is also associated with hosting or attending parties.

The Card of the Day: The Page of Wands (Reversed)
“Patience when cultivating talents.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Page of Wands symbolizes aspiration. Although he has not yet reached the heights of his older family members: The Knight, Queen, and King of Wands; he still possesses their same magnetic qualities within himself. The Page of Wands represents that you too embody the same strengths you admire in the people you look up to.
Who are your role models? What qualities do they possess that you wish you embodied more? How would your life be different if you could tap into more of "that kind of energy?"
The Page of Wands is richly dressed for his adventure in Egypt. He was inspired by his older brother, the Knight of Wands, to overcome his insecurity and bravely explore the world. He wears a vibrant yellow tunic, the most optimistic color. A red plume tops his hat, announcing his courage to be seen by the world, as he is. The wand he holds is much taller than him. It's from his father, the King of Wands, and he hasn't quite grown up to it yet. The wand reminds him of his role models, the Knight, Queen, and King of Wands. He is mesmerized by the Knight's courage for adventure, the Queen's charisma, and the King's wisdom. He doesn't feel bad about himself by "comparing" their talents to his own. This is because he knows that he too possesses the same force behind those talents.
The very fact that you admire certain qualities in others is because you have those qualities in common. Much like the Page, you may still be finding out how to make these qualities your own. Don't try to "compare" yourself to the abilities, talents, and achievements of others. Instead, look at the force "behind" those talents, and you will see you are on this planet to strengthen those same attributes within yourself.
For example; anyone who really knows me knows that I absolutely adore Judy Garland. I marvel at her talent, but more importantly I love her fearless authenticity on stage. She took risks and performed concerts until shortly before she died, all the while struggling with deep personal insecurity and a cruel tabloid press that wanted to rip her apart every day to sell magazines. This would hurt her deeply, but she would overcome it with a joke, and get others to laugh with her. She would get on stage knowing that people were "judging her," for her personal struggles, but she still had the courage to sing straight into the hearts of her audience. By vulnerably sharing her shadows in the open, she helped her audiences (whom she adored), heal their own troubles with a song.
Now I'll never be a singer...... However, I find myself working on being more vulnerable and fearless every day. I also learn from Judy to trust and believe in my talents, to openly share them, and to be my authentic self around others. I can't let the fear of being ridiculed for being gay, being a tarot card reader, or being different, keep me from trying to feel connected with others in the world. Some days I'm more courageous than others, but I still aspire to reveal my authentic self despite my personal fears.
Today acknowledge the qualities you admire most in your heroes and see that you share this magic in common. You are kindred souls.
When the Page of Wands appears reversed, he signifies that you must be present and patient with your when cultivating your talents. The Page of Wands is crackling with creativity. He is a fiery character whose mind can often be found thirty steps ahead of his present location. When this Page appears reversed, he reminds you to slow down and enjoy being present with what you are learning. He might also indicate that you need to take a more methodical approach to achieving your goals. Don't let your mind race and wander without discipline. You have tremendous talent and creative energy available to you to manifest whatever you want in life, but it needs to be applied thoughtfully.
The Page of Wands Reversed also warns against the feeling of not quite “measuring up.” Beware of comparing yourself with the achievements and accomplishments of others. You are on your own track and have a lifetime of lessons specifically meant for you. Comparing yourself to the paths others have tread is useless and futile. Look to qualities of those that you admire to fuel your passion, not to undermine it.
Keep aspiring toward your goals, but don't forget to be present and enjoy the moment. One day you'll look back with fondness at the process of how the talents unique to you were cultivated.
*Page of Wands (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Page of Wands reversed can represent a person who caves into pressure of stronger personalities around him. Although he has a potential for leadership one day, he still comes across as a follower. His self-esteem requires the approval of those he looks up to or admires. This tends to lead to bad decisions. The Page of Wands reversed remains a bit “green.”
Long Term Partnership
The Page of Wands reversed can signify a partner who has a bit of a temper. Although he (or she) is quick to anger, he is also swift to forgive and forget. He will often need space to cool down when he is upset. If you are engaged in a conflict with him, give him some time to simmer down. This card can also represent an overly impulsive partner who acts now and thinks later.
Seeking Romance
If the Page of Wands reversed represent you, he provides a gentle warning to not rush into relationships or commitments without thinking. Slow down, take a deep breath, and think. This card urges you to work through your present issue instead of using another person to avoid it. If you courageously face what needs to grow, you will overcome your present blockage.

The Card of the Day: The Knight of Swords (Copy)
“Be kinder to your mind and body.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Knight of Swords is an ambitious man. He is always striving to prove he is a successful adult. No matter how much he achieves, he can't seem to be happy or rest. The only thing he knows how to do is push ahead. Once he has completed his objective, he doesn't even know how to absorb it. He is already rushing ahead to the next task, driving himself mercilessly to win, hoping that someone will acknowledge his value through deeds.
Are you rushing through life? Do you stop to savor successes you've already achieved, or do you rush ahead to the next task? Do you feel guilty about resting when there's so much to do? Do you cram your day with so much activity that you feel drained and depressed?
The Knight of Swords reminds us that this is no way to go through life. In fact, it is downright harmful to your health. In this card's imagery, the horse represents our physical body. The horse is uneasy, anxious, tight, and trying to outrun his rider. The horse looks back at his master with an expression that says "Seriously, you want me to run faster?!" The Knight brandishing the sword represents the "cruel master" within. That nasty voice that tells us to shut up and keep going, even when we feel we are going to drop.
Our culture glorifies suffering through work. When someone says you are "a hard worker," that's almost as good as being one of the troops! "She worked until the day she died," is another one of our highest honors. But is your tombstone really going to be inscribed with all the hours you heroically put into your job? Is that really an authentic encapsulation of what you amount to? Our country has the highest death rates for stress related illnesses. Why don't we allow ourselves a siesta like other healthier countries? Is it a sin to have more "vacation time" than one paltry week a year?
Today, you must take responsibility for your own health and wellness by actually scheduling relaxation. No one is going to say, "Boy he needs a break, let's make him take one!" Working toward achievement is marvelous, but as with everything it needs balance. The Oracle at Delphi had a saying that guaranteed a satisfying life. "Nothing too much." That includes work, activity, play, food, drinking...everything!
Slow down today. Turn off the phone and take a relaxing walk or sit in the yard for twenty minutes. Stop being a slave to clocks, demands, emails, texts, televisions, and social media updates. You aren't living a full life if you are constantly cracking the whip across your own back to achieve. Balance work with rest today and your body will thank you.
*The Knight of Swords in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Knight of Swords can represent a passionate and exciting paramour. However, it can be very difficult to maintain a hold his (or her) attention for long. In a love reading, this card will advise you not to rush into commitments thoughtlessly. Time will tell if the intensity of the Knight’s initial passion finds the potential to be something more.
Long Term Partnership
The Knight of Swords can represent a turbulent relationship. The pursuit of personal ambitions will often need to be weighed against the needs of the partnership. If both partners are engaged the pursuit of a mutual goal, this union can succeed. A Knight of Swords relationship thrives when there are shared priorities. Clarify what those priorities are for both of you.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Knight of Swords can indicate that you are in the intense pursuit of your heart’s desire. Be mindful of the path you are racing down, and who you may be running over. Your priority may be to get what you want at all costs. However, this can come at great expense to yourself.

The Card of the Day: The Empress
“Unconditional love and nurturing.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
When the Empress appears worries can no longer exist. The Empress is the ever-loving “Great Mother,” who encourages, nurtures, and protects all her children. The Empress reassures us that we are safe, protected, and have access to all the abundance we need. She lovingly holds out this truth, even when you are unable to feel it, see it or believe it.
The Empress archetype has gone by many names throughout human history. She's appeared in every land and in every culture since the dawn of time. There have been many attempts throughout history to repress her, discredit her, or forget her completely. However, after every "Dark-Age" in human history she always reemerges with a gentle smile. The Empress appears today to tell you that there is something important in your life that needs to feel loved, nurtured, and protected to thrive. She advises you that self-love will be your strongest shield moving forward.
Are you feeling safe, reassured, and abundant right now? What part of your life needs nurturing, love, and protection currently? Are you able to access the fearless place within you where love resides?
The Empress sits in her abundant garden. She looks kindly at you as you approach her throne. She wears the sparkling Crown of Twelve Stars, signifying her status as the eternal "Queen of Heaven." The crown symbolizes her ability to see "the big picture," or the eternal context of every situation. She sees the time before, the beginning, the middle, the end and the great beyond. Seeing situations in the context of the eternal is a great remedy for fear. It reminds us of just how small they are. The Empress reminds us we have so much more purpose in our existence than our fears would have us believe. The Crown of Twelve Stars reminds us of the months of the year, the signs of the zodiac, and represents all things growing at their appropriate time.
The robes of the Empress are covered with images of fruit, representing her power to bring prosperity and abundance to everything she nurtures. A shield in the shape of a heart lays at her feet, emblazoned with the symbol of Venus the Goddess of Love. This symbolizes that the Empress uses love to protect what she cares for. Her field of wheat signifies her ability to feed and nourish her children. She reminds us that there is more than enough for everybody. The Empress embodies comfort, love, and understanding. She is the nurturing face of Mother Nature, who gently guides you back to your authentic nature. She patiently waits with open arms, to unburden you of troubles, and wipe away all tears. The Empress can always be felt in the part of your heart which transcends fear and glows with love.
The Empress makes all things grow with the power of gentle patience. This loving force is always busy at work. It can be seen in our major life events and rites of passage. The Empress is also busy in the background of our lives, making the trees blossom, grass grow, and the generations to pass on their torches. Her loving energy is present when a mother holds her baby for the first time, and when an old man calls out to his mother before he is about to pass on. The Empress reminds you of the power of your highest ideals. This energy allows you to manifest whatever dream you are trying to create. When the Empress arrives, she unburdens you of worries because she places issues in the context of the "big picture." The Empress reminds you that all that really matters is love. Therefore, you can believe her when she whispers, "Everything is going to be okay."

The Card of the Day: The Seven of Pentacles (Reversed)
“Acknowledge your progress.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Seven of Pentacles represents stopping to look around you and appreciate what you've created. It symbolizes the need to periodically review your progress; what you have achieved, and what you are still working toward. The road may not have been easy, and the work may not be over, but your foundation is firmly rooted. This card reminds you to stop ignoring or minimizing your accomplishments!
What positive results have you manifested in your life? Have you ever written down your achievements to see how much you've done? Do you ever stop to look around and appreciate all that you've created and worked for?
The man in the card is taking a break from his carefully cultivated fields. The fields aren't quite ready for harvest, but the man surveys the work that he did with a sense of pride. He did this himself, and he sees the results he created. He is able to stop being productive long enough to truly appreciate what he has manifested. He's hardly an ego maniac (look at his clothes!), but he does have a healthy sense of self-esteem that only hard work engenders.
Today you need to write five positive life results you've fought hard to achieve. Five things that you could have given up on, if you took the easy way out. Five things that showed you actually "can" do it! Five things that proved that you can persevere. What achievements are you most proud of? Take your time and think.......
Got your list?
Now look at the items on the list as if you were seeing them for the first time. Remember the phase in your life before you achieved this. What did life look like then? What adversity did you overcome to get to this point? Was it hard not to give up? Take pride in each item on your list. Thank your body for not quitting, and your mind for not breaking. Thank your heart for mending itself through the painful times. Thank your spirit for raising you up, over the obstacles. This is what you made, and your "self" needs to be thanked for it. To achieve more positivity in your life, you must clearly see (and appreciate) what you've already manifested.
You can achieve any positive result you want for your future. Just look at your list, you've done it before.
When the Seven of Pentacles appears reversed it represents a great amount of work to be done. Although there is much to do and may feel overwhelming, it is very possible to complete all that is before you. This card asks you to prioritize your tasks. Do not get discouraged! The Seven of Pentacles upright or reversed is a card that rewards effort.
The Seven of Pentacles (Reversed) indicates that your tasks are many but that they can be accomplished if you prioritize what needs your focus. Don’t waste energy on something minute, try to work in broad strokes to get started. Like an artist refining a rough sketch you can always circle back and attend to the details later. Ensure that a firm foundation is established. Slow down and formulate a solid plan of action.
The Seven of Pentacles (Reversed) can also indicate that you need to be more patient with yourself. Acknowledge your efforts and be kind to yourself when undertaking them. You may feel like you are pushing uphill, but very soon your will reach the top and momentum will sprint to your side.
*Seven of Pentacles (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The person you are asking about is steady, pragmatic, and risk averse. Sometimes, the Seven of Pentacles appears reversed when the person you are inquiring about continuously keeps you waiting. You may need to identify if they are just being overcautious or simply aren’t ready to give the relationship what it needs.
Long Term Partnership
The Seven of Pentacles reversed can appear if you or your partner is trying to artificially speed up the natural flow of events to get what you want before it’s time. Try not to breeze through the work that must be currently done. This card can also represent a partner that rushes you into making decisions before you are ready.
Seeking Romance
When the Seven of Pentacles appears reversed, it signifies that you may be feeling impatient. It may seem like you have been waiting to connect with someone special forever. This is likely because you have been transfixed by this issue. A watched pot never boils.

The Card of the Day: The Hermit (Reversed)
“Time to reemerge.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Hermit symbolizes that the answers you seek to any problem, can always be found if you begin within. If you make time to center, feel your real feelings, and quiet mental chatter, your inner wisdom will guide you out of any rut. Sometimes the biggest block to hearing your spirit's inner wisdom is the fear of feeling something uncomfortable. Many people distract themselves from the discomfort and avoid resolving the imbalance. The Hermit represents the need to periodically withdraw from the world and reconnect with your deeper awareness.
Do you take time to regularly reconnect with the wisdom residing within your center? Would you rather just distract or numb yourself from what is causing you discomfort, rather than look at it? Are you conscious of the "Wise One" that resides within?
The Hermit takes his lantern into the dark, uncomfortable places, to examine what's there. If you look at the card, he is travelling over snow. This symbolizes feelings that you have "put on ice." The snow can also represent freezing or numbing pain. The gentle Hermit comes with his warm illuminating lantern and his sturdy staff of wisdom. This can melt the cold ice that metaphorically forms around the heart, allowing feelings to be resolved and released. Under his gentle guidance, he can show you the hidden lesson beneath the ice. Does your heart feel like it's keeping something frozen? Can you feel the feelings within your heart, or does it feel numb?
The fear of discomfort is just a mask, preventing you from accessing your wisdom. One error many people make with the lesson of the Hermit, is mistaking "wisdom" with "thinking." "If I just sit here alone and think about this uncomfortable thing for a long time, I will figure it out." Thinking about problems just leaves the anxiety in the background to go unchecked as your mind frantically races from one hollow solution to another. Thinking about the discomfort doesn't really resolve it. Feeling it does. Many times, people are so scared of feeling that they pull out their phone, have a drink, or binge watch the television, thinking "That will get that inner chatter to shut up for a while!"
Avoidance freezes the feeling for a time, but the unfelt feelings remain under the ice and grow in strength until they finally burst through. This process takes longer for some people than others, but it always ends the same......with a twitch, a feeling of being hollow, or a nervous breakdown.
If you are courageous enough to go within, seek your discomfort, pull the mask back, and feel the feeling you are avoiding, you will discover that this discomfort is actually a wise teacher and friend. The deeper awareness residing beneath the fear will calmly tell you what you need. This is your inner Wise One. The inner Wise One will show you how resolve and release what is troubling you.
Today reflect on what is going on within you. Is there something making you anxious? Are you dulled, numb, or frozen? Take time to connect with the sacred Hermit within. He will safely guide you to what lies beneath the ice. There is nothing to fear with the Hermit guiding you. Take the time to light a sacred candle in a quiet place. Be brave and melt any ice that may have formed around your feelings. Pull back surface fears. Look beneath the ice. Examine what the Hermit is guiding you to understand. Another card drawn may illuminate the issue that needs healing. You will know you found the answer when you say, "Aha! That's what I needed to resolve within myself."
The lamp of your inner Hermit will guide you out of darkness every time.
When the Hermit appears reversed, it indicates that it is time to reemerge from your inner landscape and share yourself with the outside world again. After a period of introspection and self-work you have gained new insights and wisdom. Now the demands of the external world may be calling you back. Duties will multiply, and events may pick up speed. The Hermit is the "way-shower" from within. Don't be surprised is you may be a way-shower to others, now that you made your own journey. It is time to engage with the world around you and share your unique wisdom and experiences.
The Hermit reversed also indicates that you may possess something important that can contribute to the world around you. However, you cannot share it if you are hiding. It is so important that you don't hide, avoid or become shy about what you offer. The Hermit represents the authentic place within you. Have the courage to reveal your authentic self with others. Your challenges, and introspective journey have given you valuable wisdom. Reconnect with the world and share that wisdom with others. When the Hermit appears reversed, he reminds you that you are not alone. It is time to seek the company of others, who have also done the inner work to know their authentic self. Sometimes this card simply means that you are not as isolated as you think. New friendships, partnerships and connection will appear. A breakthrough will happen if you are open and reconnect with others at this time.
*The Hermit (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Hermit reversed might find it awkward to connect with others, having “gone it alone” for so long. This person truly desires to connect in a meaningful partnership but may lack some basic relationship skills. This person will also retreat when his feelings are hurt, or he feels misunderstood. Communication does not always come easy for the Hermit reversed.
Long Term Partnership
The Hermit reversed can represent an overly critical partner in a relationship. He (or she) is a scorekeeper and will analyze their partner’s every word looking for inconsistencies. Instead of self-reflection, they may focus on what they think everyone else needs to improve. This is often a smokescreen for feeling neglected or not knowing how to ask for what they need.
Seeking Romance
The Hermit reversed can signify that it’s time to rejoin the world of the living. Becoming too isolated can feel safe and comfortable because you are never challenged to grow. It may be time to take slow and steady steps into society again. Don’t be afraid of calling more attention to yourself and sharing your light.

The Card of the Day: The Eight of Pentacles
"Meaningful work."
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Eight of Pentacles represents giving one-hundred and ten percent to the tasks in front of you. This card reminds you to value the skills you are mastering, and to see how they improve the lives of others. “Giving your all” ensures that you can go out into the word with your head held high, confident in your abilities and your self-worth.
Do you truly appreciate the work that you do? What skills are you honing each day, to improve your life? Is it time to stretch yourself, past your comfort zones, and fearlessly toward fulfilling work?
The craftsman on the card busily inscribes his Pentacles with a hammer and chisel. He loves his work. It gives him a channel to focus all his creative energy. A pathway connects his workshop to the little village in the distance. This symbolizes that his work connects him with others. To the townspeople he is not just "the Craftsman." He is also the master of eight apprentices, the beloved teacher at the monastery, and has gained the town's affection for his compassion and kindness. The craftsman is also very funny; bringing laughter to the villagers, with his dry wit and humor. The craftsman doesn't just do work for the village to "make money." Each day he uses work as a vehicle, to improve his community, connect with others, and better himself.
Being fully engaged with the work that you do is very empowering. It transforms your energy from being passive and reactive, to confident and proactive. Your job is not just a means to making money. The craft you are mastering connects you with the society and gives you a platform to improve it. This allows you to put your own unique stamp on the world, and to change the energy of the world you live in. How are you improving your world with the work you do? Are you making it a better place?
Today, enthusiastically take up the tasks in front of you, and give one-hundred and ten percent. Do your job done well and accomplish your objectives. Value the work that you do, and others will too. Work isn't just "work." It is your contribution for the betterment of all. If your current work feels "limiting," then it’s time to find something that calls upon your best attributes and talents. Instead of resenting the job at hand, change the energy...which might mean placing yourself in a new position that brings more learning or fulfillment. You are in charge of how you employ your skill set, and how you focus your energy.
Don't just "endure" work. Appreciate how it connects you with others and is your contribution to a better society.
*Eight of Pentacles in a Love Reading
New Relationship
Your love interest will likely prioritize their career goals ahead of love and romance. This isn’t necessarily a reflection of their feelings for you. This individual will be naturally self-motivated and driven to succeed. Their heart is in their work. This card can also signify an attraction to someone in the workplace.
Long Term Partnership
You and your partner are not afraid of hard work. This card can signify a period where a long-term investment must be made to produce the results you are both looking for. Sometimes, this card can also signify the possibility of working together professionally. If you and your partner have a business idea, this card will encourage you to move forward with it.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Eight of Pentacles could indicate opportunities to meet people through your career. If your friends and colleagues invite you out, say “yes!” There might also be an opportunity to meaningfully connect with others through the work you are passionate about. If you are loving your life and career, romance has a much better chance of finding you.

The Card of the Day: The Six of Pentacles (Reversed)
"Giving without expectation."
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Six of Pentacles represents compassion, generosity, and hospitality. It is a card that depicts good deeds and the concept of good karma. This card reminds you that the true quality of a person is not measured by how much they impress the powerful and influential people of society. Instead, it is measured by how they treat the people who they stand nothing to gain from. When you show kindness and generosity to those who you would probably gain “nothing” from, you may find that you walk away with a gift far greater.
Does “tunnel vision” get in the way of noticing the light within the people around you? Do you think that “those bums should just get a job and take care of themselves!” since you never got a free pass? Does making eye-contact and smiling at strangers frighten you, causing you to avoid connecting with others?
The rich merchant on the card has worked hard to escape the crushing poverty of his youth. However, he always remembers what it was like. He had to deal with a lot of other poor people in “survival mode.” This made him learn early that hungry people, without their basic needs met, can do horrible things to others, with little remorse. The merchant knows that he could have ended up just like the people his society disdains. If he was born a little different, didn’t have mentors, got sick or had a disability, made a wrong decision somewhere in the past.... well then he might be begging for scraps too.
The merchant holds the scales. This shows he sees “both sides.” He also remembers many poor people showed him loyalty and kindness, far more valuable than what can be found among the upper echelons. He learned “hard work,” and how to keep fighting to overcome obstacles from these hearty folks. This is why he sees their value. Therefore, you see him willingly handing out some coins to people in need.
He also knows a secret from his youth. That angels disguise themselves as social outcasts all the time, waiting to bless those who stop, and notice the light in their eyes.
There are myths, fairy tales, and religious stories that stretch back far into human history with the same theme. A test is presented to someone who has “everything.” A god, fairy, or an angel, appears before the fortunate individual, disguised as a beggar. If the individual treats the beggar kindly, they are given some sort of magical assistance (like Cinderella going to the ball). If, however, the wealthy person treats the beggar as worthless, something terrible happens. They undergo a horrible transformation. Their “outsides” reflect the ugly they harbor within. Remember "Beauty and the Beast?"
Giving strangers a warm welcome, offering food, and showing respect was one of the sacred customs from Ancient Greece. It was respected by absolutely everybody. It was a custom decreed by their king of the Gods, Zeus. The Greeks believed that Gods and Goddesses appeared before men as lowly beggars all the time, testing their humanity. If they were treated well, they could change one's fortunes. Some Christian stories also describe angels doing the exact same thing.
Today, you could be interacting with an angel unaware. Don’t ignore the light within the eyes of the people around you. Also, don’t assume you know another’s “societal worth,” by their outward appearance. Angels love to disguise themselves as what society deems as "crazy people." I think angels can take over their bodies (I've seen it myself). I believe it's probably easier for angels to take over the minds of nuttier/eccentric people. People without an open mind probably have a "closed sign" up for the angels.
When the Six of Pentacles appears reversed it signifies that you may have to accept that what you give to others may not be returned. Sometimes the people you help aren't able to return the favor. Some interpretations of this card tell you to be cautious if you are asked to provide a loan since the borrower will probably not pay you back. I believe that this card can indicate that you can act as an angel for someone else. Perhaps it's time to donate your time, energy or resources to those that would benefit most from it. Although you may not receive anything back from the object of your generosity, the scales on the card indicate the laws of karma. If you've been feeling fearful, angry, or have somehow forgotten your blessings, it's time to get out of your yourself, and be of compassionate service to someone else. This shifts your energy to embodying love, our best state of being. Good deeds are never a waste. Acts of compassion and kindness raise the energy and place a healing salve on the wounds of the world.
Today, get out of your own head. Look around you and see who needs your compassion today. In helping others, you will be help yourself, and the wider world. You don't have to make a grand gesture. Sometimes simply affirming someone's worth and value can go far to cleaning up the emotional pollution that people unthinkingly cast about. Like the generous merchant on the card, keep the karmic scales you hold in balance. If you give freely of your kindness now, miraculous assistance will aid you in the future, when you are the one in need.
*The Six of Pentacles (Reversed) in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
When the Six of Pentacles appears reversed, it warns of extremes. Both partners aren’t sharing their responsibilities equally. One partner may be excessively giving, while the other takes; attempting to remain unchanging. Don’t settle for less than the best.
Long Term Partnership
The Six of Pentacles reversed can highlight a relationship dynamic where one partner enables the other’s bad habits, addictions, or self-destructive tendencies. Healing can happen, but first you must face the problem, create boundaries, and be willing to change. Professional support may be helpful. Insist on accountability.
Seeking Romance
This card may also appear when you are lacking confidence in your own abilities. You might find yourself excessively placing others on a pedestal, at the expense of yourself. Belittling yourself to gain another’s favor is also a form of devaluing who you are. Enter your relationships as an equal.
