The Card of the Day: The Ace of Pentacles
“Prosperity.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Ace of Pentacles represents new beginnings in the realm of prosperity. It symbolizes positive financial thinking and new opportunities. The new beginning being presented is illuminating your pathway toward wealth consciousness. This begins with feeling your self-worth and having gratitude for existing blessings. Wealth consciousness entices even more abundant opportunities to seek you out, like honeybees to flowers. When the Ace of Pentacles appears, a gateway of new financial possibilities is opening.
What is your attitude about your financial life? Do you feel open to receiving prosperity? Are you actively seeking out new opportunities to improve your financial life?
The imagery of the card shows a divine hand holding a shining, golden coin. This symbolizes that Spirit is blessing us with abundance and opportunity every moment of every day. We just might not be seeing it. Humans are impatient creatures of habit and are prone to lethargy. We want it now! We often say to ourselves, “Why am I not getting my just reward? I’m spiritual! I thought I could just sit back and let opportunity find me, isn’t that how it works?” The Ace of Pentacles presents us with new opportunities but requires that we also do our part.
The scene on this card depicts a garden. Gardens take time, patience and work to grow. If it is a labor of love, the garden will flourish. This shows that while you can change your mind to think in wealth consciousness in an instant, it doesn’t mean that suddenly money will rain down on you from the sky today. You must tend to your state of mind as you would tend to a garden. This includes weeding out negative thoughts or habits and having patience with your unique growth process. You would never get frustrated with a flower for not blooming two days after the seeds were planted. Why expect your life to display a finished product today?
You must also occasionally leave the comfort of the garden to improve it. This means going out into the world, seeking out the elements that will help it flourish. Seek out opportunities and you will find them. Fortune favors the bold.
The Ace of Pentacles asks you to tend your thoughts. New opportunities are presenting themselves to improve your life, but you must take full advantage of them. If you are willing to do the work, abundance and success will follow. Be grateful for the riches you already possess, and more will be on the way!
*The Ace of Pentacles in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The Ace of Pentacles promises a successful beginning. There is likely an intense physical attraction. Your new love interest is likely self-motivated and driven. Career will be a huge priority for this individual and may prove to be their top priority. This card can also signify a romance that blooms in a work environment.
Long Term Partnership
A new opportunity is arriving that will positively affect your relationship. Although it will be challenging and will require hard work, success is assured. The Ace of Pentacles can reflect a new job, a new home, or a new financial prospect that will make your lives together more secure and abundant. A golden doorway is opening for you both, walk through it!
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Ace of Pentacles gently redirects your attention away from relationship anxiety, and toward tangible goals you can achieve for yourself. You will set yourself up for the right partner if you work on becoming the best version of yourself first. This card also advises that if you invest in your career first, love will naturally follow.

The Card of the Day: The Wheel of Fortune (Reversed)
“The illusion of moving backwards.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Wheel of Fortune symbolizes the changeable nature of daily life. In the tarot book, "Following Your Path," Alexandra Collins Dickerman perceived the Wheel of Fortune as a metaphor for the changeable external world. The figures on the turning wheel illustrate that life brings periods where we feel on top of the world, and also times where we feel we hit rock bottom. Random things happen, sometimes good and sometimes bad. The rim of the wheel represents the external world with all its chaotic unpredictability. The center of the wheel represents our center, the vantage point of our best/higher/authentic self.
Are you stuck at the rim of the wheel, rising or falling with each unexpected event that happens? Can you take unexpected events in stride, or are you inflexible? Do you panic when something doesn't go according to plan?
If we wrap up our whole identity and value with what "everybody out there" thinks at the rim of the wheel, we are doomed to emotionally rise and fall with each acceptance or rejection we receive. However, if we can attach ourselves to our center, we can watch the chaotic ups and downs occurring at the edge of the wheel objectively, without taking them personally.
Today it's time to stop going on an emotional roller coaster with each random event. Staying fixed at the edge of the wheel can get emotionally exhausting. The truth is we don't have complete control of every life event that occurs. Sometimes #*%@ happens! People act unpredictably. People get fired. People win the lottery. People get hurt. People get lucky. Events don't go according to plan. All we can control is whether we will let our best self handle the situation or our "scared self."
Today, take random things in stride. Good or bad. Fair or unfair. Bring your A-game to every unpredictable situation you find yourself in. Learn to laugh at it all. Don't take life personally. All you have control over is you and your chosen response. Respond with excellence. Stay in your center, in the eye of the storm. View your current situation with the higher wisdom that resides within. Let random events occur around you. If you are centered they will leave you unruffled and unscathed.
This card foretells good fortune and luck for those who find their way back to their center.
When the Wheel of Fortune appears reversed it highlights cycles, patterns and recurring lessons. Just as a wheel that moves in reverse brings a vehicle backward, so to the reversed Wheel of Fortune can take you back to a life-lesson that keeps repeating itself over and over. Getting frustrated at the repeated lesson is fruitless. The lesson is recurring because it holds the key to moving forward. Once you accept the lesson, and do the work on self-improvement, the wheel will begin to move forward once again. Life occurs in cycles, sometimes you are up, and sometimes you are down, the key is not to become overly attached to the place you find yourself on the wheel at any given moment. This inevitably leads to unnecessary suffering.
It can be so frustrating to want to move forward only to find that you keep seeming to move backwards. However, success is hardly ever arrived at in a straight line. The journey toward success bends, and curves and spirals, sometimes looping back over itself. Sometimes you will feel like you are back where you started, with no progress being made....but this is an illusion. Wisdom is accumulated with each cycle. Each time you revisit a challenge you know it more intimately, and see dimensions that were not apparent before.
The Wheel is made not just its outer rim (a symbol for the external world), it's source of strength is its center, the hub (a symbol for the divine center within you). Today, don't get angry at recurring cycles, there is a lesson to be found in them. The Universe is always showing you ways to move forward through patterns, but sometimes you do need to go back and pick up an important part of your center that was left behind.
Don't personalize the ever-turning wheel, whether you find yourself rising or falling. Ask yourself what the Universe is trying to teach you through the cyclical patterns you are experiencing. Sometimes, finding "the missing piece of you" in the place where you are stalled is just the remedy needed to get moving forward again.
*Wheel of Fortune (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The reversed Wheel can represent a partner who tends to move through life in reverse. This individual might be so stuck in a behavioral cycle that it seems involuntary. This card can also represent a partner who struggles with relapsing into old destructive patterns. Although they often act thoughtlessly, their behavior isn’t malicious.
Long Term Partnership
You and your partner have overcome countless dramatic plot twists. Although this relationship requires lots of emotional energy, it has also granted you both a full panoply of emotional experiences. For all the ups and downs, this partnership’s cycles are now as predictable as clockwork.
Seeking Romance
A Wheel that moves backward will take you in reverse. This card can highlight a present situation that seems to echo the past. What will you do differently this time around? Revisiting old cycles also grants the opportunity to break them. It’s time to begin anew.

The Card of the Day: The Seven of Swords
“Use your wits.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Seven of Swords represents using your wits to overcome obstacles in your path. It suggests you not fight life’s challenges, but instead use your intelligence to bypass what appears fixed or immovable. The Seven of Swords reminds you that “It's not over until it’s over.” There is usually a way to succeed if you don’t give up. You are cleverer than your current challenges, but you must think smarter and not work harder!
Do you give up easily when life is sends you setback, or do you find a way around it? Have you used your wits to outsmart a situation that looked hopeless? Are you tired of “fighting” against one life-barrier after another?
Don’t get mad, get smart!
The thief depicted on the Seven of Swords is a brilliant tactician. In the background you see an army has invaded his homeland. They have set up camps and are conferring with one another about how they will divide the invaded territory. Instead of fighting the whole army by himself, the trickster on the card uses his wits to outsmart them. While the troops are distracted, he creeps in and steals five of their seven weapons, greatly diminishing their strength. Instead of fighting or retreating he uses his mind to find a brilliant solution to the present impasse.
Not every challenge in life needs to be approached with the “fight or flight” instinct. Sometimes all that is required is to use your mind and systematically review the challenge from all angles. Often you can find a way around the obstacle, with much less frustration and angst.
The Seven of Swords suggests that you apply a different perspective to what currently appears hopeless. Ask experts for advice. Get more information. Really know the details of the situation you are grappling with. Understanding the challenge in its entirety will give you power over it. Use the internet! Everything you need to know is at your fingertips. Are you arming yourself with enough knowledge, or are you just hoping everything will work out?
Sometimes we avoid the solution because it means we must commit to our decision and risk change. New can feel scary. The man on the card is taking a risk by invading the enemy camp. There is a risk involved, but he knows that being proactive is better than futilely hoping the army might retreat.
The Seven of Swords suggests that rather than aggressively ramming your head into a current life challenge, you can choose to be smarter than it. Apply strategic thinking and do some research. Don’t give up when life screams “NO YOU CAN’T” at you! Respond with: “Hmm..., I bet I can find a way around that!”
Using your wits will give you immense power over any obstacle you are currently confronting.
*Seven of Swords in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Seven of Swords can represent a thrilling new love interest; however, resist throwing all caution to the wind. Trust your instincts if something feels off. Watch this person’s actions instead of believing their words alone. He or she may defy the rules or even the law. This card can also represent a heartbreaker who flirts with everybody.
Long Term Partnership
For a long-term partnership, your partner may be rebelling against something in the relationship that feels overly restrictive. They might protest against established norms in the relationship. This card can also indicate dishonesty by omission. You may have to read between the lines to get at the heart of what they truly need.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, a past betrayal from a dishonest partner may be interfering with your ability to trust. Don’t allow the past to make you paranoid about the future. The past experiences have sharpened your wits. Trust your inner wisdom. You can no longer be fooled unless you choose to ignore warning signs.

The Card of the Day: The Knight of Cups
“The Messenger of Love.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Knight of Cups is the tarot’s brave Messenger of Love. This Knight can communicate his deepest feelings without fear or embarrassment. Everywhere he rides, love begins to flow. He represents all forms of love: romantic, passionate, platonic, and familial. He can reintroduce a lonely person into a world of friends and can bring renewed passion to an intimacy-barren relationship. This is because he does not let fear, embarrassment, or shame, keep him from opening his heart. He reminds those who believe they are alone, that they are connected, valuable, loved, and accepted. The Knight of Cups appears when it’s time to be emotionally courageous.
Do you have a hard time expressing your feelings, even to the people you are closest to? Are you too shy, or too scared to open yourself up to connecting with others? When did you last feel passionate or romantic?
The Knight of Cups is so hot! He is completely confident with his feelings and what is more attractive than confidence? He gazes electrically with deep blue eyes, and effortlessly expresses what he desires honestly. He wears the wings of Hermes, the messenger god on his helm and his feet. Fish decorate his tunic. This symbolizes his ability to communicate clearly about deep unconscious feelings that can be hard to put into words. His main message is that communication about feelings heals isolation and confusion. The more difficult the subject, the more healing to be gained from talking about it. However, you must be brave enough to open your heart to others.
You might wonder why you would need to be brave to express love. The answer is that it can be very scary! Even people who have been together for years, can find it difficult to express affection and intimacy. This is especially true if the heart has been wounded by a deep betrayal or loss in the past. The Knight appears to tell us that retreating further from others will never heal the heart. The heart mends when it is brave and open, allowing new experiences to take the place of past hurts.
The Knight of Cups is eternally optimistic that the future will be brighter than times before. He knows that the heart is not as fragile as it pretends to be. It can heal amazingly but must be open to do so. Bring some passion and excitement back into your life. Share, flirt, take a risk, make new friends, but most important open up!
The Knight of Cups inspires you to be courageous, and express love, romance, affection, and passion. Have confidence in your worth and stop being self-conscious. You are more lovable than you think! You don’t need to be in an intimate relationship to begin healing your heart. The first step is to be brave enough to open it.
*Knight of Cups in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Knight of Cups signifies intense attraction. The pheromones swirling in the air around him can cause you to forego all common sense. Try to remain grounded amid the romantic messages, electric glances, and sexual chemistry. Time will tell if the relationship is viable. This Knight quickly loses interest with a lover who is too starstruck.
Long Term Partnership
For a long-term relationship, the Knight of Cups can represent that rare love, where passion and attraction remain strong even after many years with one another. You probably played your cards expertly to keep this Knight engaged! This is likely a great love for the ages.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the appearance of the Knight of Cups could foretell exciting romantic possibilities. You might also develop a crush on someone new. The Knight of Cups can also signify a time where you feel bolder and more confident in expressing yourself. Flirt, smile and be less inhibited… what do you have to lose?

The Card of the Day: The Nine of Pentacles
“The wealth card.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Nine of Pentacles represents wealth and security. It also symbolizes savoring your success. Every financial guru teaches that gratitude for what you have leads to even more wealth. The Nine of Pentacles teaches that wealth follows your focus (which must be trained), and is more of a state of mind than a dollar amount. If you want to experience even more wealth, you will have to slow down, acknowledge your success, and train your focus.
Do you take the time to slow down and savor your successes? How would you rate your concept of “self-worth?” Does your environment feel like it exudes “wealth energy?” Does it feel balanced, look appealing, and smell like abundance? (If not it might be time to get a book about feng shui from the library.)
The wealthy woman on this card admires her abundant garden. It shines with the golden light of success. Her palace sits aloft the hills in the distance. She is training her pet falcon. Falcons are famous for their focus and their speed. The woman has placed a hood over the falcon. This symbolizes that she has learned how to train her own focus. She knows that what she places her attention on, she receives. The falcon is not racing ahead for a hunt, or frantically looking for his next prey. He is instead enjoying the affection of his mistress. He is also listening carefully to her encouraging words.
The woman has another pet with her in the garden....this one is rather difficult to see but also teaches a very important lesson..............look closely..............can you spot it?
Far down in the left hand corner of the image is a snail. Snails are sloooooowwwwww. They take their time to reach their destination. In fact “destinations” aren’t important to them because snails are always at home. The woman keeps the snail in her garden. Snails are very sensitive to their environments. This reminds her that in order to ensure that even more wealth flows, she needs to slow down, take care of her environment, and savor her current success. The wealthy woman makes sure that her garden is only filled with imagery that conjures up a sense of abundance. This keeps her little companions healthy, and ensures wealth is continuously attracted to her.
Today, it's time to slow down and savor your wealth. It's a state of mind. Take control of your focus. Enhance your environment to embody feelings of wealth, and success. Perhaps you need more green in your home. Maybe the house needs to be cleaned up. Like the snail, you are very sensitive to your environment. See to it that your home gives you a positive sensory experience in every room. Light some candles, and place some richly colored pillows. Place some abundant plants by the windows, or get a “money tree.” Ensure that your home smells good, and pleases all the senses. When you look around you should see an abundant environment that displays your success.
Slow down and create an environment that will encourage feelings of success. Wealth will follow.
*The Nine of Pentacles in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The Nine of Pentacles can signify a love interest who is wealthy, or who is destined to be financially successful. They have extremely high standards and are looking for a partner who also knows their worth. The message of this card is to maintain high standards and not accept treatment from a lover that is less than you deserve.
Long Term Partnership
The Nine of Pentacles signifies long-term security and prosperity for your relationship. Opportunities for increasing wealth arise whenever this card appears. Any investments you make will eventually pay off. This card could also give permission to splurge on something you both can enjoy. Investing money in pleasurable pursuits can awaken slumbering passion.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Nine of Pentacles advises you to always keep your standards high. Don’t begin to doubt yourself or your value. You deserve to be courted by someone who not only appreciates you but respects your worth. Don’t accept a partner that doesn’t check every box on your list. This card also signifies a need for patience as you await the best person for you.

The Card of the Day: The Five of Wands
“The immaturity of the comparison game.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Five of Wands traditionally represents competition, ambition, and struggle. It symbolizes the inner tension we feel when we are caught up in our egos, constantly comparing our “status” in relation to others. Early on kids are taught “you must be the winner!” Life is a series of competitions.... best at music, best at Monopoly, best at softball, best at spelling. You must win at each thing you try otherwise...........you must be a loser, a nothing, a failure at life. This sort of “all or nothing” thinking sets up impossible standards that can never be attained. As kids grow into adulthood, they carry this toxic baggage, feeling there is something wrong with them. No wonder so many adults struggle with self-esteem.
Do you constantly compare your “status” with others? Do you feel that you must be perfect at everything? Have you ever stopped to think how adolescent that is?
The adolescents on the card are competing.[1] Each is trying to prove that he has the biggest stick. Each of the competitors think there can only be one winner. They think to themselves, “Either I win this, or I am humiliated.” The teenagers on the card do not have the wisdom that age engenders. They do not see that each is an individual, with their own combination of unique skills. This is represented by their distinctive colored costumes and designs. Each figure in the card has condensed his whole concept of self-worth on a game of sticks! This is all or nothing thinking, and it is very damaging to self-esteem.
Think about it, could you ever attain being the richest, most beautiful, eternally young, perfect bodied, artistic genius? Oh, and smartest person in the world, best at every sport, every subject, every language, every artistic medium and every skill set known to man? Nobody can do that! The truth is we each have a unique combination of gifts. You might not be the best at each skill and talent you possess, however, there is no person on the planet with your unique combination of talents, skills, and abilities.
Today, catch yourself if you are playing the game of the big sticks! It’s ridiculous! You don’t have to win at everything to be worthy. You are special, unique and radiate a beauty that is all your own. Nobody does you like you. My favorite entertainer Judy Garland used to say:
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”
*Five of Wands in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Five of Wands can warn of childishness, immaturity, or incompatible values in a new relationship. Just because you prize certain qualities or expectations does not promise that the person you feel strongly about feels the same. This card can also signify an internal conflict about whether you should proceed with this person. Let your maturity to lead the way.
Long Term Partnership
The Five of Wands can highlight a simmering conflict that habitually boils over. This can come in the form of bickering, squabbling, or “scorekeeping” insignificant infractions. The point trying to be proved has nothing to do with the underlying source of the tension.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, you may still be feeling conflicted about a past love. Although you may feel hurt and angry, there is a strange attraction to revisiting the past. Before attempting a new relationship, seek closure for unresolved feelings first. This card can also signify unresolved anger that is frustrating your search for love.

The Card of the Day: The Tower
“Coming back to earth.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The people falling from the Tower were prisoners of their own making. They built walls around themselves that grew taller and taller. These walls separated them from feeling reality. The Tower gained in size and made them numb. Being numb kept them "safe," from being hurt by the past and the present. In the Tower they could pretend there was no loss, change or death happening outside. They would say things like, "I'm great! No sad things ever happened...what are you talking about?" The lightning on the card represents the inevitable crisis the Universe always sends, to cause those in denial to wake up and to heal what needs healing.
Are there unresolved hurts from the past that you need to heal, surrender and clear? What would you rather not deal with right now? Do you "zone-out" to deny reality?" Is there a fear that if you open yourself to feeling it will hurt too much and won't stop?
Despite the destructive imagery, the Tower is one of the most healing cards in the tarot. The Tower snaps us out of pretending we are not hurting. It is a cathartic card, where old pains are finally felt, and released for healing. In that way, the old pains no longer keep us a prisoner, escaping reality. When you reflect on your life, and remember the moments that made you strongest, they are often the hard times. Avoiding challenges doesn't make us strong, dealing with them does.
Denial of truth is unsustainable. Spirit/God/the Universe always sends along a proverbial lightning bolt to snap us out of delusion. The breakdown moment is surprisingly a blessing. Lightning bolts symbolize flashes of divine magic and epiphanies at play in your life. Once reality is accepted, it can then be healed. The people falling from the Tower are returning to earth. Not only are they returning to reality, but they are returning to their true nature as well.
When the Tower appears it’s time stop avoiding something that you know needs to be felt. Don't deny your feelings another day or they will continue to keep you imprisoned. Give yourself some privacy and space to really feel something that hurts. Release it through tears or even yelling. A wise teacher of mine told me that if you can't scream in the house because there are people around, do it in the car.... people will just think you're singing.[1] It’s time to be honest with yourself and feel your real feelings.
*The Tower in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Tower advises that you gather more information before entrusting your heart. People always show you their best attributes in the beginning. Try not to buy into the initial image that is presented. You have nothing to lose by taking your time. The Tower can also warn you of tricking yourself into believing what you hope to see rather than what is truly there.
Long Term Partnership
For a healthy relationship, the Tower can signify a breakdown that results in a breakthrough. In any relationship conflicts inevitably arise. This card can symbolize tremendous healing by releasing toxic emotions that are negatively affecting the relationship. When confronting instability honestly, the Tower can be immensely cathartic.
Seeking Romance
The Tower encourages you to stop rationalizing and face the truth your instincts are alerting you to. Hopes and expectations may be drowning out your common sense and inner wisdom. Your heart will heal, open, and connect only after it accepts reality. Step out of the rubble and begin anew. You will not find fulfillment by reliving past disasters.

The Card of the Day: The Lovers
“Recipe for inner harmony.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Lovers represent love in all its forms. This includes relationships with lovers, friends, family, and especially yourself. The Lovers bring inner-balance and peace. They represent the different aspects of you, which must be brought into harmony in order to regain perspective. The Lovers card also represents choices. It reminds us that we can heal any situation, and free ourselves from suffering whenever we choose to view it through the eyes of authentic love.
Do you have difficulty with truly loving yourself? Are you able to open your heart and be completely honest about who you are, and what you feel? Are you able to look at where you are at in life right now with acceptance and inner-peace?
The Lovers are brought together in a state of harmony under the loving gaze of an angel. They are naked, and feel no shame for it. They don't need to "cover up" or "put on a front" to impress each other. The male gazes at the female. She in turn gazes up through the fog at the angel. The figures on the lovers card symbolize the different aspects of you that must be brought into harmony for inner-peace, and self-love.
The male represents your worldly, rational self. This is the part that works in the "real world." The male part of the self wants to mentally figure everything out with a rational explanation. He fears the unknown and yet is strangely attracted to the mysteries embodied by the female on the card. Status, strength, and reason matter to him. And yet, by himself he is incomplete. He needs to make contact with something much deeper than what he finds in the world. He sees this in the female. He gazes at her beauty and is mesmerized by her. She is the part he is missing. She is very precious to him and reminds him of what really matters in life. The male looks to the female for clues on what kind of person he should present himself to be out in the world. If the female is wounded it alters his perception of his value.
The female represents the psyche, your emotional depth, your capacity to feel. She is sensitive and kind. She loves beauty and comfort. She feels compassion, and wants all things to go smoothly. And yet on her own she would be incomplete. She has the tendency to "avoid conflict" at all costs. This leads to no boundaries, which then opens her up to harm. Without conflict there is no growth. She needs the male on the card to bring balance, healing, protection, and growth. She also "feels" too much sometimes. This makes her forget that there is a wider world outside of her feelings. In order to heal the wounds her sensitive heart, and find peace she must look to the angel.
The angel represents your higher-self, your super-consciousness. He looks down on the different part of the self with compassion, acceptance and perspective. He bathes the male and female aspects of the self with loving light. There is no judgment in the angel's face, only unconditional love and acceptance. He does not judge them for how they look, what they do, how much they have, or what may have happened in the past. The Lovers are below a misty cloud. It is not always easy for the different aspects of the self to see things from a spiritual perspective.
The gazing figures on the Lovers card show a formula for inner peace. The "external" worldly self (male) must know his real feelings (female) to find peace and harmony. He must make peace with his feelings by being honest about them. The nakedness of the figures mean baring it all. Releasing feelings of inhibition that keep you covering things up to maintain an image. But stopping at the realm of feelings isn't looking deep enough. In order to heal the wounds that all people eventually acquire, one must go even deeper within for harmony. This is the realm of the spirit (angel). Only the Angel is able to see things from a vantage point of complete perspective. No mist covers the angel's eyes. Only the inner spirit can truly validate the self. When you look on the naked truth of who you are with the eyes of the angel, there is nothing but love.
We fall out of harmony by attaching ourselves to only one aspect of our lives and losing the perspective of the angel. Ruminating with emotions too much we lose sight of the world's unlimited opportunities. Concern for status, or how we appear to others can bring an equal measure of suffering. The only way to free yourself from suffering is to love yourself enough to go within and seek your light. Seek the higher self. Look on yourself with wise, radiant, luminous eyes. The angel resides deeper within...beyond the pain. The level of where the angel resides is where self-love comes from. That is how to get it.
Today, it's time to love yourself. You may have to dig deep within to find it, but it's there, patiently waiting. Look at who you are with the eyes of your inner-angel. Then look at the other people in the world with those same eyes. This perspective will reveal a lot to you. Instead of feeling wounded by the actions of incomplete people caught in their own suffering, you can see how they have unfortunately forgot to be their better angel that day. Just like you occasionally do. Look on yourself and others with the love of your inner-Spirit. This will free you from all suffering, and restores harmony every time.

The Card of the Day: The Hanged Man (Reversed)
“He’s right-side up again.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Hanged Man represents making a temporary sacrifice in order to achieve a greater goal. This could mean sacrificing time, energy, old habits, or an outdated attitude. For success to be achieved a sacrifice for a greater gain is at hand. By investing in what matters to you most, you will ensure that the new reality you are shaping thrives.
What changes would you like to see in your life? Is there a goal that you have, that might mean putting in a lot of work? Is making sacrifices scary for you, because it means that everything is going to change?
The "Hanged Man" is suspended from the branches of the Tree of Wisdom. He is seeking to improve himself. By hanging upside down, he is gaining a new perspective, and looks at the world through different eyes. All of the blood rushes to his head. All of his energy is being pooled into his mind. He is temporarily sacrificing the use of his legs and arms. "Staying busy" isn't going to help him solve his problems. He is sacrificing the need to act, and suspending his normal routines, in order to focus his energy. His face is calm. Although not "comfortable," he is not suffering. He knows that sacrificing his daily grind, will free his mind.
If you want to achieve anything in this life worth anything, you will need to make sacrifices. The currency of the Universe is "exchange." What you put in, you will get out. It is comforting to know, that if you make the sacrifices, and do the work, you can alter the course of your destiny. Any goal you have, can be achieved, but it does require that something must be given up. At first "sacrifice" may feel like you are "losing something." In actuality, sacrifice is letting go of habits and attitudes that are actually keeping you stuck.
For example, if you want to lose weight, you may have to sacrifice eating after eight at night, and cutting some calories here or there. To get a wonderful new job, you may have to sacrifice some of your leisure time, to look for a job, and meet with the people who can deliver what you want. To foster a talent, write a book, or create a masterpiece, you may have to sacrifice a few years, to hone, refine, and perfect your skills.
The Hanged Man is a good omen. He says that you are just about to experience another breakthrough that will lead to a glorious new you. All the self empowerment you have been hoping for is in your hand. You can achieve your goal, if you are willing to be courageous and make the proper sacrifice.
To free yourself from dissatisfaction, you may have to sacrifice the status quo, just like the wise Hanged Man.
When the Hanged Man appears reversed he is represented as back on his feet! After spending considerable time suspended from the Tree of Wisdom he is now ready to walk out into the world again, with valuable new insights. He has made tremendous sacrifices and has surrendered his ego's assumptions of how life should unfold. Instead, he given himself over to the greater wisdom of the tree he spent so many years suspended from. He has freed himself from attachments to particular outcomes. He has the gained the grace of acceptance.
When this card appears reversed it is as if all that felt upside-down is being corrected. This will also foretell a period of feeling grounded and surer of your path. You too have been suspended from the tree of wisdom, and now it is time to look on life with the wisdom you’ve gained. All your sacrifices up until now have indeed been worth it. This is because you are starting to perceive your experience with grace and wisdom. Be proud of the things you have worked and sacrificed for. When you look on the world with the wisdom you’ve earned, it no longer appears upside-down. Honor your rites of passage and your hard-fought achievements.

The Card of the Day: The Page of Pentacles (Reversed)
“Reclaiming passion.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Page of Pentacles represents the passion you feel for what really interests you. This can be a goal, a talent, a creative pursuit, or a career that you love. To get better at anything, you have to work at it. When your interests become "work," it can be easy to forget why you used to love it. The job to do (and the anxiety to do it well), can soon take the place of the passion. The process of getting better at anything is strewn with mistakes. Errors are your best teachers. If you don't remind yourself what you love about the work you do, your morale can quickly sink. If you throw in comparing yourself to others, who you think do it "better," and you've got a perfect recipe for anxiety, apathy or avoidance. In order to reclaim your passion, get back to the basics. It's time to remind yourself what initially made you passionate about this pursuit in the first place!
Why did you choose to go into the work you do? What did you like/love about it when you were just getting started? Has perfecting your talents become something that gives you more anxiety than joy? How has this work made your life more meaningful?
The Page holds up his Pentacle with reverence. It is a symbol of his passion for learning, perfecting, and understanding. He lives in a fertile valley in the shade of trees and mountains. Although he is a child of the "Earth element," he always seems to have his head in the clouds. The tall trees and the towering mountains lie far beneath where his dreams take him. This kid is going places! His red hat symbolizes the passion he has for the fresh goals he is just getting started with. He is not just a dreamer but also a "doer." His green tunic represents that abundance will always result when there is a self-motivation for improvement.
Sometimes anxiety about doing well at something causes avoidance of the very things that used to bring you joy. The Page of Pentacles asks you to try to remember, what made you passionate about doing this work in the first place. Did it make you feel good to help someone? Was it something that you felt brilliant in? Did it build your self-esteem up, because you had a gift, and you used to know it?
For success to take root, the love of the pursuit must supersede your anxieties about it.
When the Page of Pentacles appears reversed, he asks if you are losing your passion for what used to interest you. If you feel blasé about your goals it's time, to remember why you love the work you do. This is a pivotal moment where the direction of your energy needs to change. The Page of Pentacles reversed can symbolize feeling burnt-out with a skill, subject or routine. Check in with yourself and ascertain if excitement for your passions feels blocked. This card can often appear for people who turn hobbies or interests into their careers. If the purposeful work is not injected with gratitude, joy and excitement, it can soon feel like a daily grind.
The Page of Pentacles reversed reminds you to restore feeling into your pursuits. Perhaps you need to take a break from “work” and create something just for the love of it. The Page of Pentacles loves to stimulate the mind. Allow yourself to participate in something that reignites your interests. Seek out fascinating people and exchange ideas.
Often, the Page of Pentacles reversed represents re-learning a life lesson that we thought we completed. This may be a time where you are circling back over your life and reinforcing the fundamentals of who you are. This will ensure growth and opportunities that will emerge after you embody who you are becoming.
If you feel stuck, depressed or bored, you must add passion. Life always feels better when you infuse it with excitement and activity. If your mind isn’t enjoying the object of its focus, then something needs to change.
