The Card of the Day: The Page of Pentacles (Reversed)
“Reclaiming passion.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Page of Pentacles represents the passion you feel for what really interests you. This can be a goal, a talent, a creative pursuit, or a career that you love. To get better at anything, you have to work at it. When your interests become "work," it can be easy to forget why you used to love it. The job to do (and the anxiety to do it well), can soon take the place of the passion. The process of getting better at anything is strewn with mistakes. Errors are your best teachers. If you don't remind yourself what you love about the work you do, your morale can quickly sink. If you throw in comparing yourself to others, who you think do it "better," and you've got a perfect recipe for anxiety, apathy or avoidance. In order to reclaim your passion, get back to the basics. It's time to remind yourself what initially made you passionate about this pursuit in the first place!
Why did you choose to go into the work you do? What did you like/love about it when you were just getting started? Has perfecting your talents become something that gives you more anxiety than joy? How has this work made your life more meaningful?
The Page holds up his Pentacle with reverence. It is a symbol of his passion for learning, perfecting, and understanding. He lives in a fertile valley in the shade of trees and mountains. Although he is a child of the "Earth element," he always seems to have his head in the clouds. The tall trees and the towering mountains lie far beneath where his dreams take him. This kid is going places! His red hat symbolizes the passion he has for the fresh goals he is just getting started with. He is not just a dreamer but also a "doer." His green tunic represents that abundance will always result when there is a self-motivation for improvement.
Sometimes anxiety about doing well at something causes avoidance of the very things that used to bring you joy. The Page of Pentacles asks you to try to remember, what made you passionate about doing this work in the first place. Did it make you feel good to help someone? Was it something that you felt brilliant in? Did it build your self-esteem up, because you had a gift, and you used to know it?
For success to take root, the love of the pursuit must supersede your anxieties about it.
When the Page of Pentacles appears reversed, he asks if you are losing your passion for what used to interest you. If you feel blasé about your goals it's time, to remember why you love the work you do. This is a pivotal moment where the direction of your energy needs to change. The Page of Pentacles reversed can symbolize feeling burnt-out with a skill, subject or routine. Check in with yourself and ascertain if excitement for your passions feels blocked. This card can often appear for people who turn hobbies or interests into their careers. If the purposeful work is not injected with gratitude, joy and excitement, it can soon feel like a daily grind.
The Page of Pentacles reversed reminds you to restore feeling into your pursuits. Perhaps you need to take a break from “work” and create something just for the love of it. The Page of Pentacles loves to stimulate the mind. Allow yourself to participate in something that reignites your interests. Seek out fascinating people and exchange ideas.
Often, the Page of Pentacles reversed represents re-learning a life lesson that we thought we completed. This may be a time where you are circling back over your life and reinforcing the fundamentals of who you are. This will ensure growth and opportunities that will emerge after you embody who you are becoming.
If you feel stuck, depressed or bored, you must add passion. Life always feels better when you infuse it with excitement and activity. If your mind isn’t enjoying the object of its focus, then something needs to change.
*Page of Pentacles (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
Every reversed Page can signify a level of immaturity. The Page of Pentacles reversed can highlight juvenile behavior or someone who is very bright but struggles to take full responsibility for their choices. The above average intelligence of this person can make them extremely adept at rationalizing away what needs to grow.
Long Term Partnership
The Page of Pentacles reversed can represent a person who upholds unrealistic standards of perfection in himself and in his potential partners. He may also come across as overly critical. He may seem a bit “off,” when trying to connect in relationships. This card can also signify a partnership where one partner is extremely difficult to satisfy.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Page of Pentacles reversed will highlight a lesson you seem to be relearning. Until this lesson is learned, you may feel your plans for romance keep getting derailed. What issue do you seem to be relearning again and again in your relationships?

The Card of the Day: The King of Cups (Reversed)
“Get your house in order.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
Everybody likes the King of Cups. He is kind, affable, and forgiving. He has nothing left to prove to the world, which makes him unpretentious. This is because he is completely at peace with his own feelings. The King of Cups has experienced both stormy seas, and still waters that run deep. Water and cups represent feelings in the tarot, and the King of Cups is perfectly at home in the realm of his emotions. He tells us, "You are always going to have feelings, why not channel their power into something constructive?"
Are you comfortable in your skin right now? Were you taught sensitivity makes one weak? Are you sometimes so ruled by negative past emotions that you are left feeling sad, unmotivated, and depressed?
The King of Cups knows that emotions can buoy us or sink us. Feelings can be helpful or destructive, just like the ocean. Emotions aren't good or bad, they are energy. The mind filters where feelings flow. Once unleashed, emotions can create a powerful current that manifests results, either positive or negative. Therefore, you want to keep our feelings flowing amid currents of joy and happiness… so they don’t work against what you are trying to manifest.
Two symbols appear the background of the King's card. The whale and the ship. The whale is the record keeper of the ocean.[1] They are the ancient giants that remember all the way back to a time when they used to live on land. The whale symbolizes the ability to access old memories from the depths. Whales breathe air, giving them the ability to bring old, memories and feelings to the surface for understanding and healing. By making peace with the past you don’t have to work so hard to resist it.
The floating ship represents the power of the mind to invent solutions to harness the water (feelings). The seas and oceans used to be large barriers before humans could build ships. After people started inventing boats, the waters became super highways. Ideas were exchanged, and trade increased. The waters were channeled into a positive result.
The King's stable throne remains above the waves. He is not ruled by his feelings but governs them. He stays in contact with his deep emotions and memories (the whale), but he is not overcome and submerged by them (the ship). He can focus on a goal and then summon the powers of his emotions as a propellent to achieve it.
When the King of Cups appears, you can choose whether to sink or swim in the realm of your emotions. Heed the King's advice and make peace with the past. Forgive yourself for whatever was keeping you stuck. Forgive others who have hurt you, or they will continue to rule the direction of your feelings.
The King of Cups can also signify a kind-hearted person that you can trust.
When the King of Cups appears reversed, he advises you to stay calm despite stormy seas. As you can see, the King is surrounded by waters making great waves. Water signifies feelings in the tarot, and reversed cups cards can indicate an intensification of emotional turmoil. The King of Cups is seated on a firm stone platform, unaffected by the swirling waves around him. This indicates that the King can remain centered when situations that elicit strong emotional reactions.
The King of Cups is also associated with the astrological sign of Cancer, which is concerned with home. If you wish to reclaim stability amid stormy waters, get your own house in order (literally and figuratively). Throw out things you don't need anymore. Remove clutter. The more you clean out your personal environment, the less heavy and stressed you will feel internally. You may also see external conditions improve. Your environment has the power to unconsciously affect your mood and self-esteem. If you have a stable base of operations where you feel centered, you can handle any waves headed your way.
*The King of Cups (Reversed) in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The King of Cups reversed can represent someone who appears adrift in life. He (or she) is not anchored to a particular person, purpose, or place. This can be difficult because the King of Cups, (upright or reversed) can connect powerfully with others without even trying. You may want to “rescue” this person, but he will only swim to shore when he is ready.
Long Term Partnership
The King of Cups reversed can represent an emotionally brooding partner. He may keep replaying a past slight in head over and over, constantly surrendering himself to the raging storms of his past. Time may not heal all wounds, but it will lessen their sting. The King of Cups reversed has a hard time letting the past go.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the King of Cups reversed advises you to remain anchored during emotionally tempestuous times. Shelter your heart in environments that feel safest and most supported. Although you may feel like your heart may never open again, this is an illusion. The storm will pass, and the seas will be calm once more.

The Card of the Day: The Six of Pentacles
“Entertaining angels unaware.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Six of Pentacles represents compassion, generosity, and cultivating good karma. This card reminds you that your true quality as a person is not measured by how much you impress the powerful and influential people of society. Instead, it is measured by how you treat the outcasts, the penniless, and the “least of these.” When you show kindness to those who you would probably gain “nothing” from, you may find that you walk away with a gift far greater.
Does “tunnel vision” get in the way of noticing the light within the people around you? Do you think that “those bums should just get a job, and take care of themselves!,” since you never got a free pass? Does making eye-contact and smiling at strangers frighten you, causing you to avoid connecting with others?
The rich merchant on the card has worked hard to escape the crushing poverty of his youth. However, he always remembers what it was like. He had to deal with a lot of other poor people in “survival mode.” This made him learn early that hungry people, without their basic needs met, can do horrible things to others, with little remorse. The merchant knows that he could have ended up just like the people his society disdains. If he was born a little different, didn’t have mentors, got sick or had a disability, made a wrong decision somewhere in the past.....well then he might be begging for scraps too.
The merchant holds the scales. This shows he sees “both sides.” He also remembers many poor people showed him loyalty and kindness, far more valuable than what can be found among the upper echelons. He learned “hard work,” and how to keep fighting to overcome obstacles from these hearty folks. This is why he sees their value. This is why you see him willingly handing out some coins to people in need.
He also knows a secret from his youth. That angels actually disguise themselves as social outcasts all the time, waiting to bless those who stop, and notice the light in their eyes.
There are myths, fairy tales, and religious stories that stretch back far into human history with the same theme. A test is presented to someone who has “everything.” A god, fairy, or an angel, appears before the fortunate individual, disguised as a beggar. If the the individual treats the beggar kindly, they are given some sort of magical assistance (like Cinderella going to the ball). If however, the wealthy person treats the beggar as worthless, something terrible happens. They undergo a horrible transformation. Their “outsides” reflect the ugly they harbor within. Remember "Beauty and the Beast?"
Giving strangers a warm welcome, offering food, and showing respect was one of the sacred customs from Ancient Greece. It was respected by absolutely everybody. It was a custom decreed by their king of the Gods, Zeus. The Greeks believed that Gods and Goddesses appeared before men as lowly beggars all the time, testing their humanity. If they were treated well they could change one's fortunes. Some Christian stories also describe angels doing the exact same thing.
Today, you could be interacting with an angel unaware. Don’t ignore the light within the eyes of the people around you. Also don’t assume you know another’s “societal worth,” by their outward appearance. Angels love to disguise themselves as what society deems as "crazy people." I think angels can actually take over their bodies (I've seen it myself). I believe it's probably easier for angels to take over the minds of nuttier/eccentric people. People without an open mind probably have a "closed sign" up for the angels.
*The Six of Pentacles in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The person you are interested in appears to have it all. Make sure that you are not placing their perceived value on a pedestal at the expense of your own. Embrace what makes you powerful and meet this person as an equal. The Six of Pentacles can also signify a new relationship with someone who holds a higher position or has secured more wealth than you.
Long Term Partnership
For a healthy relationship, the Six of Pentacles can be a secure card. A balance has likely been struck in your union. Your partnership is complimentary. Although one partner may wield more worldly power, they are complimented by their beloved’s inner strengths. This card can also signify a time where your partner needs your selfless help and support through difficulties.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Six of Pentacles asks you to be mindful of role you are embodying, the equal partner, the giver, or the beggar. You don’t need to beg for someone to love you. Likewise, you don’t need to constantly give in to disempowered people. Seek equity in your relationships and enter them with your power intact.

The Card of the Day: The Ace of Swords
“Reclaim your personal power.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Ace of Swords symbolizes reclaiming your personal power by taking charge of your life. Like all Aces, it symbolizes a new beginning is at hand. Your personal power is much like a sword, waiting to be drawn from a scabbard. When you grasp what makes you powerful, you can transform your energy, from victim to victor. The Ace of Swords cuts through trance-like states of mind. It flashes with dazzling light, awakening your self-confidence.
Do you feel your personal power has been depleted somehow? Are you avoiding something that you know will make things better if you just get the ball rolling? Are you overwhelmed by anxiety, causing you to feel uncomfortable with confronting an area of your life?
A mighty hand grasps the flashing sword. Sparks crackle from its blade. The Sword represents your vitality, life force and personal power. The sword is crowned. This symbolizes that when you grasp your power, you become fit to rule your life. You are the King or Queen of your own world, vested with the divine authority to make it as successful as you dare. The mountains symbolize the great heights you will ascend to, if you decide to act.
An olive branch dangles from the left side of the crown. This symbolizes that your life will feel more at peace, when you act. This seems counterintuitive to our fears which tell us to avoid things that might create stress. However, inner turmoil comes from the avoidance of confrontation, not from taking responsibility.
A palm branch graces the right side of the crown. Palm trees are primordial, tough, and hearty. They can endure desert-like heat, and torrential hurricanes. The palm branch symbolizes your resilience. You can endure much more than you may be giving yourself credit for.
Today, a new beginning is at hand. Don't dwell on yesterday, last year, or what might lie ahead. Your personal power is crackling in the present, right now. Where will you send that energy? Channel the energy to the place in your mind where your power resides. Act on something that you have been avoiding. This will restore confidence in your mind and its ability to make better decisions.
*Ace of Swords in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Ace of Swords can signify an electric attraction. The spark between the two of you is definitely there. Your new love interest will excite your imagination with unlimited possibility for the future. Try to appeal to this person’s intellect and love of conversation. This card signifies a true meeting of the minds. Be assertive and don’t hide your intelligence.
Long Term Partnership
The Ace of Swords represents a relationship between two powerful personalities. Your partner must feel they can speak openly about their personal ambitions. Restore clarity through honest communication. This partnership thrives when both people feel in control of their own destiny. Mutual interests can reignite the spark between you.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Ace of Swords urges you to take charge of your love life. Clothe yourself in self-confidence and power. Remember that your choices give you the control. Gravitate toward people and activities that affirm your power, instead of sapping it. Visualize yourself wearing a crown to your first date and watch how your energy shifts.

The Card of the Day: The Four of Pentacles
“True security comes from within.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Four of Pentacles represents material security and stability, which is very different from being secure in yourself. Although this a wonderful card financially speaking, it warns against being consumed by the pursuit of security solely through the acquisition of external things. The Four of Pentacles reminds you to balance both your expectations of worldly success, with the needs of your authentic self.
Do you feel safe and secure? Are you erecting barriers between yourself and others because you fear sharing your authenticity? Do you feel that no matter how much you achieve or acquire; it still doesn't feel like it's enough?
The miserly man depicted on the card had a difficult early life. He knows well what it is like to go hungry. He was the eldest child, in a poor family. Dealing with extreme poverty in his childhood created a lot of emotional turmoil, accompanied by feelings of being less than. One way for the man to medicate this sense of inequity was to make a lot of money. He decided to be the best at everything he did. He thought if he gained enough money and status, he would finally prove to the world he was worthy. The man moved to a big city, buzzing with opportunity and flashy personalities. He did everything to gain their acceptance, and soon became the wealthiest man among them. And yet, no matter how much money he earned, or how much approval he gained, he still felt empty, and insecure.
Here we see the miserly man clutching his four pentacles. They are the symbols for status, money, power, and achievement. These are not bad attributes to have so long as they are held by one that is already secure in himself. As tightly as the miser holds these attributes, they never seem to bring him an authentic sense of security. Look at his face. There is still suffering happening there. Internally he remains a scared neglected boy. Now, in turn he's neglected the needs of his inner-self. His four Pentacles have become barriers. The one on his head makes him forget his connection to Spirit. The one clutched to his heart blocks him from receiving love and feeling his feelings. The two Pentacles under his feet cut him off from being grounded in nature. His nature.
The pursuit of position and wealth are not inherently bad things. By all means… be a great financial success! The problem lies in "deadening" your humanity, to conform to the world around you, in order to finally feel good enough. Your humanity can be described as the part of you that feels love and compassion, for yourself and others. The depth within you is in constant dialogue with your spirit. Many people in our culture use their work, or worldly position as a way to seek validation. And yet pharmaceutical companies are getting rich because these same people are depressed and miserable, seeking an authentic feeling in all that is artificial. Seeking security in someone or something outside of yourself will always lead to a sense of insecurity.
Listen to the needs of your true nature. True security can only be found within.
On a purely financial level, the Four of Pentacles can symbolize good financial prospects and material security, with a caution to be conservative concerning money at this time. Save it.
*The Four of Pentacles in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The Four of Pentacles can represent a person who places a lot of value in the external trappings of success or power. This card can also represent a needy, or clingy partner who is insecure. At its most innocent, the Four of Pentacles can represent a “tightwad,” or someone who begrudges paying for things. You can tell by their response to the first restaurant check!
Long Term Partnership
The Four of Pentacles encourages you and your partner to focus on goals for future security. Sometimes, this card places an emphasis on “pinching your pennies” or saving up for a major expenditure. Try not to take needless financial risks or splurge on extravagances. This card can also signify a possessive person who has trouble sharing their partner’s attention with others.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, you may be realizing that your desire to keep yourself “safe” is blocking you from making meaningful connections. The Four of Pantacles can also signify that you are focusing too much on career or the acquisition of wealth. Restore balance between work and play and make more time for socializing.

The Card of the Day: The Four of Swords
"Peace."
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Four of Swords symbolizes our need for inner-peace. It encourages rest and recuperation. The appearance of the Four of Swords gently reminds you to call your attention to your body, and any areas where tension has been building up. You may need to give yourself some peace and quiet to rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit. You could also find that it's time to let go of whatever is preventing a sense of peace and causing inner-suffering.
Do you feel inner-peace, or have you been suffering?" When is the last time you gave yourself a relaxing mid-day nap? Do you need a break from the stress that's built up?
Hidden in the upper left-corner of the stained-glass window in the Four of Swords is the word: PAX (Latin for PEACE).[1] Aside from encouraging rest, this card asks if you are feeling inner-peace. Often the cause for suffering in our lives is attachment to things that need to be surrendered. Trying to control outcomes or hanging onto a path that no longer brings rewards are examples of this. Identify anything that is interfering with your inner peace. Is it a life path that you honestly aren't happy with? Is it a fixed attachment to a specific outcome? Wouldn't it be a relief to finally let the source of your suffering go and see what new wonders await you? We are often very good at rationalizing why we need to suffer, but there is no rationalization for it. You can choose inner-peace and let go of whatever you've outgrown that keeps preventing a sense of being at peace within yourself.
Another way to bring a sense of inner-peace is deep breathing. Secure ten minutes for yourself where you won't be disturbed. Sit back and relax in a comfy chair. Bring your awareness to your body. With your mind, slowly scan the sensations of your body from head to toe. Is there an area with tightness built up? Find the area of tightness and relax the muscles surrounding this area as much as you can. When you identify where the tension has built up, it’s time to breathe into it. Empty all the air from your lungs. Take a deep breath, slowly inhaling through your nostrils over an eight second count. Fill your body with revitalizing air. Let your stomach expand with the inhalation. Inhale the revitalizing oxygen into the place of tension. Hold the air there for eight seconds, right in the tense spot. While holding the air, purse your lips as if you were about to drink from a small straw. Exhale all the air over eight counts through this aperture slowly. It should sound like a dolphin’s exhalation. (PPHHHHHHHHH). Use your abdomen to press all the old air out of your body. Let all the tension escape with the breath. Feel the muscles around the tense spot relax even further. Repeat this breath exercise with two more healing inhalations and exhalations (Eight counts in, hold eight counts in stressed spot, release through pursed lips eight counts). With each exhalation allow your body to let go of all the accumulated strains of the week.
People in Western culture often need to be reminded to breathe, relax, and let go. Modern humans are always being stimulated by tasks, media, and demands. Breathing is the easiest way to release tension, but there are so many other ways to relax. Take a nice hot bath with candles and scented water. Sip a cool refreshing drink or soothing herbal tea. Take a relaxing nap for an hour just to rest your brow. Read your favorite book with snuggly blankets a cup of cocoa. Take a breather in a cool darkened room.
When the Four of Swords appears, you must allow yourself rest and recuperation. Perhaps it’s time to plan a vacation, or even a walk in Nature. You don't need to suffer. Blessings will always come to those who are at peace within themselves.
*Four of Swords in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Four of Swords could indicate that your budding relationship may not progress quickly at this time. Be patient. The person you are asking about may periodically need to retreat to regain clarity or may simply need more time to make up their mind. This card can also represent a love interest who is involved in some sort of recovery process. Take it slow.
Long Term Partnership
For a long-term partnership, the Four of Swords could indicate that one or both partners benefits immensely from periodic alone-time. You may also find that your relationship works best when you can both focus on your independent interests. It may also be time for a vacation to rest, replenish, and rejuvenate your bond.
Intimacy
It may feel like your sex life has been in a long slumber. It may be time to reawaken the passion by speaking candidly about your needs. This card can also indicate that external stress is interfering with the intimacy you and your partner share. A relaxing, romantic retreat is in order. Engage in activities that release tension.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, you may be feeling rather isolated. Counterintuitively, you may have also become very comfortable being on your own. This can result in unconsciously sending out signals to others that you’re not actually looking for a relationship.

The Card of the Day: The Page of Wands
“Aspirations.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Page of Wands symbolizes aspiration. Although he has not yet reached the heights of his older family members: The Knight, Queen, and King of Wands; he still possesses their same magnetic qualities within himself. The Page of Wands represents that you too embody the same strengths you admire in the people you look up to.
Who are your role models? What qualities do they possess that you wish you embodied more? How would your life be different if you could tap into more of "that kind of energy?"
The Page of Wands is richly dressed for his adventure in Egypt. He was inspired by his older brother, the Knight of Wands, to overcome his insecurity and bravely explore the world. He wears a vibrant yellow tunic, the most optimistic color. A red plume tops his hat, announcing his courage to be seen by the world, as he is. The wand he holds is much taller than him. It's from his father, the King of Wands, and he hasn't quite grown up to it yet. The wand reminds him of his role models, the Knight, Queen, and King of Wands. He is mesmerized by the Knight's courage for adventure, the Queen's charisma, and the King's wisdom. He doesn't feel bad about himself by "comparing" their talents to his own. This is because he knows that he too possesses the same force behind those talents.
The very fact that you admire certain qualities in others is because you have those qualities in common. Much like the Page, you may still be finding out how to make these qualities your own. Don't try to "compare" yourself to the abilities, talents, and achievements of others. Instead, look at the force "behind" those talents, and you will see you are on this planet to strengthen those same attributes within yourself.
For example; anyone who really knows me knows that I absolutely adore Judy Garland. I marvel at her talent, but more importantly I love her fearless authenticity on stage. She took risks and performed concerts until shortly before she died, all the while struggling with deep personal insecurity and a cruel tabloid press that wanted to rip her apart every day to sell magazines. This would hurt her deeply, but she would overcome it with a joke, and get others to laugh with her. She would get on stage knowing that people were "judging her," for her personal struggles, but she still had the courage to sing straight into the hearts of her audience. By vulnerably sharing her shadows in the open, she helped her audiences (whom she adored), heal their own troubles with a song.
Now I'll never be a singer...... However, I find myself working on being more vulnerable and fearless every day. I also learn from Judy to trust and believe in my talents, to openly share them, and to be my authentic self around others. I can't let the fear of being ridiculed for being gay, being a tarot card reader, or being different, keep me from trying to feel connected with others in the world. Some days I'm more courageous than others, but I still aspire to reveal my authentic self despite my personal fears.
Today acknowledge the qualities you admire most in your heroes and see that you share this magic in common. You are kindred souls.
*Page of Wands in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Page of Wands symbolizes a light-hearted beginning. Your new partner is enthusiastic and never boring. He (or she) gets along best with a person who isn’t overly serious and has a good sense of humor. At this stage he is probably not ready for a serious commitment. Try not to be smothering, for you can never cage this Page.
Long Term Partnership
The Page of Wands signifies a relationship that flourishes when it is fun. This partnership requires enjoyment, play, adventure, and travel to thrive. You both also benefit from an eclectic social circle. One partner may require a more active social life which can create conflict if the other partner is prone to possessives or jealousy.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Page of Wands can signify a “growing process.” You are likely undergoing a major developmental stage in your personal evolution. It may feel difficult to find a serious relationship at this time, but for good reason. Although it may not feel like it, the best days are yet to come. Don’t lose your optimism about the future.

The Card of the Day: The Magician
“Tap into what is limitless within you.”

Each of us is a magician, and our predominant thoughts are the magic spells that produce the life we are experiencing. All the situations you see in front of you can be changed, but first you must change where your mind is fixated. The Magician is in complete control of his environment. He represents the power of your mind's focus, which creates the reality you are living in.
What predominate thoughts do you harbor during the day? Are your thoughts generally positive or negative? Do you feel in control of your thoughts or do they run uncontrollably on automatic?
The Magician stands before his altar. Before him are four objects: a cup, a pentacle, a sword and a wand. Each represent the different elements of his external environment: his emotional life, monetary life, predominate thoughts and his ambitions. The Magician has the power to move the objects on the altar any way he chooses. This symbolizes your ability to affect your external environment by choosing to focus your thoughts and intentions. The Magician’s white wand is raised high, channeling his best self. When you are channeling your best self, you can also manifest marvelous things, as if by magic.
The best self is the part of you that feels limitless. When your mind is attuned to your best self you will notice that you feel energized, motivated and confident. You feel fearless and believe in your own talents and abilities. Unfortunately, we live in a society that borages us with images of how we really don't measure up. This affects our unconscious mind, which will run on autopilot until it is challenged. Once self-doubt takes the megaphone, your best self can feel all but drowned out. If your predominant thoughts are: "I'm too fat." "I'm not good enough." "I can't do this." "I don't know how to make this work." "Guess that just life." "I'm a fraud." "I know I won't succeed at this anyway."..........then you are not hearing your best self.
To reconnect with you best-self, remember a time in your life when you felt powerful and limitless. Remember when you felt at your best. Recall when you stood up and did the difficult thing to do. Hold that powerful and joyful feeling. That person in your memory is still you. No matter what’s transpired, this is your true essence. Remember yourself and look at your situation through that person’s eyes.
When the Magician appears, you must take responsibility for where you allow your mind to dwell. It's totally controlling your reality! Challenge negative thoughts instead of letting them run on autopilot. Set a timer to go off at two-hour intervals today. When the alarm goes off pay attention to what your thoughts are randomly focused on. If your focus is on the negative, place it instead on something that makes you feel good. You can make your life so different, if you just change your mind to do so.
*The Magician in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Magician’s interest can be piqued by displaying your knowledge, passions, and authentic interests. He loves all sorts of subjects and appreciates a sharp wit. Even if he does not share the same pursuits, he will be intrigued by learning something new. The Magician seeks an intellectually curious partner who is interested in his mind.
Long Term Partnership
Communication is all important when the Magician appears. Make time to talk to one another, not just about problems or needed improvements, but more importantly, the common interests you share and enjoy. Good communication requires that you also be a good listener. Both partners succeed when they feel their ideas are truly heard and respected.
Seeking Romance
Place yourself in surroundings where you can engage in intellectual discourse or share in common interests with others. Love will likely manifest where your mind and heart meet. Gravitate toward physical or online spaces where people of like mind gather.
