The Wind

Your emotion sways like the wind my friend.

As your boyfriend I know after your emotional force destruction can follow.

Your emotion swallows your good intentions.

Your heart’s expression akin to winds that send tornadoes.

With no hesitation they have the power to bulldoze emotional cargo.

Ergo we should seek to create wind farms.

Blow your might to sustain elegant wind charms.

They sing of our love.

The wind can blow hot or cold, they are never new but old.

I was sold by your bold and beautiful heart.

From the start I was smart enough to recognize your your passion.

Your heart reminds me of an emotional assassin.

Gain the precision of a Jetstream.

I dream of the day my passion matches your own.

You are the wind and I water.

Together we can create tidal waves mighty enough to crush entire cities.

In concert we can deliver summer rain.

Give me your pain and I will return to you pleasure.

Surrender to me and I to you.

See what God will do with us.

Your emotion is like the wind my friend.

Lazarus Walks

By Roman Pierce

I find the story of Lazarus interesting, but what I find to be more interesting is the fact that his story stops after he rose from the dead. I wonder if he had more enemies before or after he died. It is said that Mary poured Alabaster oil over Jesus’ feet and his hair. Many people around felt that the oil was wasted when it could have been sold to gain a profit for Jesus’campaign. When Jesus got word Mary’s brother was deathly ill he waited for a few days and began his trip back to a city where they threatened to stone him to death. By the time Jesus got to Lazarus he had already passed. Jesus demanded the stone be removed and called for Lazarus to come out. Lazarus did so. Jesus then demanded that death’s rags be removed from him. The biblical story ends there.

I wonder how many people hated on Jesus and Lazarus for this ooccurrence. How many people heard about the miracle and decided to speak ill on both gentlemen? I wonder how altered Lazarus’ life was after Jesus brought him back to life. Beyond that I ask myself if Lazarus had more haters before or after he died. I would venture to say that Lazarus had more naysayers after he was risen from the dead than before he died. I truely believe that his faith in Jesus and his resolve were stronger than ever.

Jesus took a chance going back to the city where Lazarus was. He knew that people wanted to stone him because of who he was. He knew that Lazarus’ time was short yet he waited for him to pass for the glory of God. Jesus valued the power of God…

Kane’s Flock

By Roman Pierce

It’s not that I’m antisocial.

I’m not postal but I can be considered unstable.

I am not able to follow the other sheep to their stable.

I am Abel surrounded by a flock of Kanes.

Who can connote the origin of man’s anger and jealousy?

Technically I separate from Kane’s followers and I search for true reality.

Not the version on TV which is scripted, twisted and uplifted, but the one where the meek inherited the Earth.

Kane’s flock worships jealousy, ignorance and violence.

It makes sense why I reject and am rejected.

How powerful are the meek?

They are unable to speak loud enough to be heard over Kane’s flock’s belting.

They too stand separate, segregated from good fortune.

Is it fair to blame capitalism for the acceptance of Kane’s flock?

Abel’s offering was favored over Kane and he died for it.

Or is human nature to blame, and capitalism only a vehicle?

Biblically jealousy, envy, and greed have been the seeds necessary to feed Kane’s flock.

These seeds also bloom capitalism and her fruits.

I do not seek to stockpile my fruit, but to enjoy them with the meek.

Kane’s flock is oblique and should not be allowed to speak.

New Year’s Plan

By Roman Pierce

Last year was above average as it was a bit Savage but I was ravaged by the blessings of the Most High.

Many times I questioned why I had to be tested by fire about my earthly desires and tried by heat if I could share my few good graces with the masses.

My mind bridges through time to the man who gave his lunch so Jesus could feed the many for ill bet he had an interesting upcoming year.

It’s a new year, but I am the same man and I stand to keep the same plan from the year before- I hope to expand my understanding.

Man love’s to have absolute plans but that hand belongs to God; man should plan for the unknown with an open mind and a loving heart.

Last year I learned to have faith in God’s hands while holding on to becoming a better man… I let go of full control, but held on to the Serenity Prayer.

I understand that this year God will present me with opportunities and obstacles…
