Recent Reads: Hopeless Magic

This is the second book in the original Reckless Magic trilogy. We pick up right after Edden's life implies. She goes from a happy, lovestruck teen to a scorned woman. Her brother is kidnapped, Grandfather dead. And now she is on a quest to get revenge because it is all Kiran's fault.
Speaking of Kiran, even though he upwind up engaged to that bitch again, he is literally dying of a broken heart with out Eden. Can you say swoon

Recent Reads: Always Mine
Where do I start with this one. Chapter 1 had me hooked with the crazy banter between Liam and Maddie. She was so witty and their chemistry was on fire. I devoured this book, waiting for him to Finally take her V-card. The character development was great. The pacing perfect. The plot twists, unexpected. So why 4 stars you ask? It ends on a cliffhanger. One where Maddie has either run away or is taken. I'm sure they will get their HEA sooner or later, but I wanted it now. Overall though, a great read.

Vicious, AKA Barron Spencer, was my first book boyfriend from LJ Shen and he is worth every tear I cried. He's mean and spiteful and so tragically broken. I wanted to hold this fictional man and kiss every scar away.
This book is not for the faint of heart. It has bullying, casual drug use, foul language, and best of all sex. It's an enemies to lovers novel with dual point of view. It is my second favorite LJ Book.

Recent Reads: Candy Cane Kiss
Here's another 3 star read because while I enjoyed the story, and finished it in a few hours, I wouldn't read it again. Lucas and Lola had their moments, and I'd have to say I loved how fiercely unique Lola was. She had her own style and didn't give a damn about what anyone thought. But this went from a very loose I don't like you situation to insta love they don't want to acknowledge. I have no problem with insta love, but there were a lot of moments I wish I had been a part of rather than was told about.

Recent Reads: Complicate me
When Claire Raye said this was a slow burn she meant S. L. O. W. As in, things don't start heating up until the last 75 % of the book and then its basically rated R until the end. So much so I found myself skimming through it because there was just... a lot. What kept me reading was wanting to know how Sienna's brother would react to Reid dating his best friend. Spoiler alert: I have no freaking clue. It ends on a cliff hanger with Sienna mad at Reid because of sins his father made. I understand the purpose, cliff hangers are great to keep readers interested in your story, but the ending felt unfinished. I gave it three stars because while I liked it, I'm not invested enough to read it again or the next one.

Running away from impending death seems ta be common and it’s a vicious cycle which I need ta put the brakes on or it will be ma immortal undoing.

Am I accustomed to the Corbeau marriage? Of course not, since I cannot bring myself to get over what I’ve lost with Stevie. I've resorted to being her advisor, which is acceptable but I am not satisfied with being second in charge of a queen who has no idea how to lead...in my opinion, anyway.
