Timothy Kiarie

Land barriers are no object to an interview with an author! I spoke to Tim recently about his latest work and his pen name Kim T Carey. Tim has published several works under his pen name and has now begun publishing under his own! Let's see what Tim has been up to!

https://www.elizabethnharris.net/post...

Hi, Timothy welcome to the Author of the Week interview, let's begin with you telling us a little about yourself.

I am 60 years old, living in Nairobi, Kenya where I was born and grew up. After high school, I worked in an international bank for seven and a half years, then pursued a career in IT rising to Customer Support & Training Manager ( I enjoy solving software problems and coaching adults in IT). Since 2007 I have tried my hand at MLM (offline and online), forex trading and writing. In point of fact, I've written since 1993 but not seriously. Only in 2016 did I launch 'Mile 327'. I have lots of travel stories about overland journeys I have done, piles of erotica and other scribbling sitting on my hard disk.

Author of the Week

Author of the Week is M.H. Woodscourt, a fantasy writer with two published works and her third on the way.

Come and find out what Melissa had to say during our interview at

https://www.elizabethnharris.net/auth...

What got you into writing?

My blood! I’m related to a lot of writers clear back to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Emily Dickinson. Stories have always been with me. Around 10 years old, I took up my pen and started giving those stories a voice.

Impressive. What’s the main thing you love and hate about writing?

I love my characters most. Even as they sometimes stubbornly refuse the path I pave for them, I adore my characters like they’re my children. What I hate is not having the time to write even more than I do. I’m afraid I’ll never live long enough to jot down each story idea I get.

Who is the worst villain you’ve ever written, and why?

‘Worst’ is a relative term, I think. I love diving into different villain types to try each out, and they’re all despicable, yet often likeable somehow. My least sympathetic villain is definitely Haeon from my Paradise series. He’s just a jerk, and he’s really petty.

Renee D. Burreson

Come and meet Renee and see what she had to say during her interview with me!

https://www.elizabethnharris.net/post...

What’s the main thing you love and hate about writing?

I love the creative process and the freedom in it. The ability to shape and create worlds and do things that otherwise I might not be able to is something truly profound. Especially in a world where we often find ourselves limited. While there are some elements of writing that are challenging, I am not sure if I can say I hate an aspect of the writing process and art form.

Who is the worst villain you’ve ever written, and why?

Right now, society. In my recently published poetry book, Breakthrough, I touched on society's basic response to issues that are too often shirked at and the negative impact of such. As well as the importance of growth and the need for change. We, as people, have the power to change and shape the world around us in ways that we don't realize.

April Harper

https://www.elizabethnharris.net/post...

Hi April, tell me a little about yourself for our readers!

I served in the United States Army for 8 years. I am the proud wife and mother of nine children through a wonderful blended family. My family has made its home in Austin, Texas. I love reading- to date my favourite book is “The Hate you Give” by Angie Thomas. When I have time, I love shopping with my daughters- They are the best shopping partners, or I can be found curled up on the sofa alongside my son for “Law and Order marathons. Other than that, I devote a lot of my time working with families in the Austin area to find and secure affordable housing.
