FAQ 1: Names!
Early readers may have noticed that in the narrative (never the dialogue) of She Who Became the Sun, Chinese characters are referred to by their surnames, rather than the conventional Chinese usage of [surname] [first name]. This may be jarring to Chinese-speakers and people who read a lot of translated works, e.g. webnovels! So: why did I make this choice?
