Hal lives in the upper Midwest with his husband, Colin. He's from the Pacific NW originally and lived in Alaska for eight years. His primary career has been as an avian-exclusive veterinarian working with wild birds, and is also a private pilot. His unifying passion in life has always been birds or anything that flies.
