Unhappy Anniversary
On July 29, 2018, Daniel Jones put a gun to Trinity Parker's head and pulled the trigger. Just to make sure the job was done right, he then put the gun to her temple and fired again. On August 16, 2018, he led the police to an abandoned house where he'd left her body, like so much trash.
I'm happy to say that Daniel Jones is now serving 125.5 years for her murder and the murder of a good friend of hers.
Although, it goes without saying, nothing will bring her back.
In memory of Trinity Rose Parker, I'll be offering the kindle edition of The Mists of Stone Lake for free for the following days:
July 29 & 30 2021 and again from August 15 through August 17, 2021.
I've also lowered the paperback to $6.99.
However, be forewarned this book is extremely graphic and may be a trigger for some people. Not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.

Changes coming
I've decided to put all my books under one name.
Same books, just a minor change.
Tenth Stem and Dark Intentions are the first books to undergo this change.
Dark Intentions got a new cover to go with the new author name. But inside, it's the same. So, if you've already read it, there's nothing to worry about. If you've not read it... you might want to read what it's about before you buy. Samuel takes stalking to a whole new level. He's not satisfied with watching her from afar. He likes to get close, very close.
Tracy leaves the city for a week in the mountains, she soon realizes she's not alone.
Tenth Stem revolves around a young woman who never expected to survive the horrors of Wellington/Clark Laboratories, and the cruel guards. Thanks to one of the kinder guards, she's found freedom. Yeah... just remember if you read this book, none of the guards are really good. Sometimes you do the right thing, but for the wrong reason. Now that Tansy is no longer captive, she's not really sure she can survive on the outside. Things that every person knows, is a mystery to her. Imagine showering under a hose, using an out house, scraps of food tossed out (yep like slop for a pig). Now you have hot showers, flush toilets, and where does that food come from? Paper gowns to fancy dresses. Bare feet to cowboy boots. Hard ground to soft bed. Oh, and she's not alone. The newest member to their yard was thrust into her arms when she was left to fend for herself. Thank goodness she met Betty!
Oh, but the doctor is pissed that one of his most prized organ packages (yes, that's what he calls them) has gotten away. Now he'll stop at nothing to get her back.

The Mists of Stone Lake
The Mists of Stone Lake was written a 16 months after my daughter was murdered. Luckily the people responsible were arrested within a few months after they found her body. In the back of the book, under the author's note, I wrote what I imagine happened. I was way off base. It was close, but not exactly. Since I was still waiting for the trials (still am), there was a lot of guessing involved.
In the book 5 people murdered the woman. (By the way, my daughter's murder wasn't quite so brutal.) In writing the book, I all but one of the characters a back story. What happened to turn them into the monsters they'd become. This helped me to understand that the people who took my Rose weren't born evil. Like my characters, something in life (must have) happened (I pray and believe it to be true). Each character represented one of the people involved in my daughter's murder. The one who didn't get a back story, well, I guess I wasn't ready to make him human. At least not yet.
It's a brutal book, gruesome. I wrote it for me. I know it has some triggers. I'm sorry. If you've read it, thank you. If you haven't, I understand.
The main character took his place about halfway through the book. I had finished the book, when I went back and changed the ending. (Much to my other daughter's consternation.)
Some may be aware, others may not. For the writer, the characters sometimes take on a life of their own. It sometimes feels like they're standing over my shoulder telling me what to write next. This happened with Damon.

What is Tenth Stem?
I got the inspiration to write Tenth Stem long before I started it. I wanted to write a book about an old woman and her granddaughter. (Me & mine.)
Somehow the "old" woman, became a young woman who was called "Granny", due to the fact that she'd survived the longest.
Over the course of writing this book, I made a lot of changes. If you think it's graphic now, you should see the original. lol. A lot of changes.
When Tansy (formerly known simply as Ten or Granny), found Betty, again the story changed.
If LGBTQ offends, you might want to exit here.
Betty stepped into the picture, bigger than life. Which, she was literally and figuratively. A temporary stop blossomed into a family. I fell in love with Betty. She took Tansy and Wanda into her heart and transformed their world. From a world of fear and pain, they were able to find acceptance and love.
I've had a few people tell me they'd like to see a sequel. Which the book left a possible future book with the introduction of Ann. Will it come? I've not ruled it out, but I'm also not in any hurry to get it done. If anyone is interested in seeing something more from our girls, let me know.

Do you play video games?
I had fun writing Username Unknown. I tried throughout my writing to imagine how I would feel like in the exact situation. In video games, there's usually a portal that leads from one area to another. What do you think a person would feel entering the portal. A swirling miasma of... what? Does it have any smell, taste, is it a smooth transition, or does it feel like your skin is coated with... ?
Oh, and it's going on sale for just 99cents on June 23, 2021. Check it out.
Hannah was helpless to do more than watch as several pig-like creatures overwhelmed Sabastian. Without stopping her assault on their leader, she yelled, “Where’s your sword? Sabastian! Swap your fishing pole out for a weapon.” In horror, she could do nothing more than watch as he went down with one last pain-filled bellow. In the time they’d been fighting, he’d only taken a few of the foul creatures with him.
Now that the creatures had eliminated one threat, they turned their attention to her. Increasing her frantic swings, Hannah’s focus pinged between the advancing group and their leader.
She knew that the ones who’d dispatched Sabastian would only take a few swipes to eliminate. Their leader, however, would require her undivided attention. Which, for now, would be impossible. Glancing from one to the other, she knew her only hope was to disable or distract the leader long enough to take out the others. Kneeling, she swung one leg out to the side. Just as she’d hoped, the leader fell face-first into the wet grass. Not bothering to glance back, she ran toward the approaching group. After a few swings of her sword, she left their bodies in a heap. Turning back to her previous opponent, she charged.
In one last effort to be finished with it, Hannah raised her sword, then in a wide arc brought it down. Then with an angry bellow, she yelled, “Would you just die already!” After delivering the killing blow, she turned around to face her companion, who was now lying in a pool of his own blood. Beside him lay the simple wooden fishing pole he’d been carrying around with him for the past few days while finishing their quest.
Allowing only a brief twinge of sadness, she turned away. There was nothing more she could’ve done. If he hadn’t tried to defend her with that silly pole, he would still be here.
As she walked back to the quest giver, Hannah’s thoughts turned to the events that led to her current situation. Six months had passed since her first encounter with him, but in her mind, it was like it happened only a few days ago.

who likes audiobooks?
Did you know that most of my books are on audio? Book 2 of the Terrapian Warriors came out today. I have several free audio codes for the first 5 people who ask for them.

Username Unknown
I know this isn't going to be the book for everyone. But if you like to play video games, you might want to check it out. 3 women/girls are pulled into the game. Each must make the choice to stay or go home. But all are required to either complete a quest or have their own completed.
I recently opened that manuscript up and had another look. A lot of revisions were done, and the book was put back up. The basic content didn't change. I just did some major editing.
Right now it's set at $6.99, but I do plan to have a big sale coming up in June. Watch here for the dates!

I hear you
Part of the beauty of being self-published, is the ability to go back and edit books that have already been published. If you've already purchased one of my books, be assured the story hasn't changed. I just went back through and fixed some problems, such as grammar.
Just want you to know how much I appreciate honest reviews. I am working on becoming the best I can.
Please be patient with me.
