A teenager’s feedback - refreshing!

As I was walking just outside my apartment building, I was greeted by a young boy.
“Uncle, I read your book.”
“Oh, really!” I was actually surprised. How come a teenager is interested in a business book?
“My dad and I read the book simultaneously. He had purchased both paperback and kindle versions.”
“How did you like the book?”
Apparently, he had inculcated the habit of reading non fiction books. One of the books he had read recently, was The Goal.
“I found it fluent like The Goal. I got some idea about the way one should go about setting up a factory and developing team.”
I was impressed. At his age, I used to read a lot, but those were mostly stories. Nothing related to business.
My book was written to motivate leaders and HR professionals. It was a bonus for me, someone so young getting motivated by my book.
We agreed to meet again to discuss some of the issues in depth!

HR Experts views about Power to People - Building an Enabling Workplace Culture

Here are some rave reviews about my book, “Power To People - Building an Enabling Workplace Culture”. They are all HR experts.

Pankaj Bhargav, Managing Partner of Core Creators says, “A very lucidly written book that brings out very comprehensively the personal journey of Ghanshyam at Kanjikode plant of Marico. It is a great case study with several nuggets of wisdom of experience of living & realizing the power of true involvement of all stakeholders. It also brings out the challenge of sustaining what is built & the criticality of passing on the values from one generation to the next.

A book that will hopefully inspire & encourage many more to walk the path involving all their stakeholders and live the values of authenticity to be able to experience the magic it creates.”

Salil Raghavan, Vice President - HR of Great Eastern Shipping has this to say about the book.
“A candid story highlighting examples of participative management using dialogue and involvement. The team tried to create an equitable and fair workplace focusing equally on tasks and relationships modeled around Blake and Mouton’s managerial grid . It is the history of the initial years of a factory set up in God’s own country . Recommended read for HR professionals and students.”

It is satisfying to note that such senior HR Experts consider this book as a Case Study.
