I asked for Goodreads help for my book Nobleman: The Return and I got it! I did not win the prize, but Nobleman: The Return is now published in Amazon. I thank each of you, who nominated me. You will get an automatic e-mail from Amazon. which you can ignore. A couple of you were actually interested in the book and here's the link:

Nobleman: The Return
R. Richard has an entry in a sort of contest called Kindle Scout (You may want to check it out.)
I have submitted a science fiction novel, titled Nobleman: The Return to Kindle Scout.
If you go to Kindle Scout https://kindlescout.amazon.com , and search for Nobleman: The Return , you get a cover image and a 500 character summary. At the bottom of the summary you get a Nominate Me button. If you press the Nominate Me button, you will receive a lifetime of only pleasurable experiences and find paradise. Okay, maybe not, however, it's free and I will be very grateful.
The plot of Nobleman: The Return is that the most famous warrior of his time is transported to a place that later proves to be outside of normal time and space. He then returns, five centuries later, still the same age as when he was kidnapped. The nobleman must then adapt to a time five centuries after his own time and the people of the future time must adapt to him. The nobleman proves to be not only a fighter, but also a clever politician. The magic of the nobleman's time clashes with the science of five centuries in the future, with victories on each side. After a bit, the nobleman contacts an advanced civilization that's observing his planet. There's quite a bit of slam bang adventure along the way.
As you read these words, you find yourself under a hypnotic compulsion. You will search for Kindle Scout. You will search for Nobleman: The Return . You will press the Nominate Me button. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!
Thank you.

I'm Now A Publisher!
R. Richard has now become a publisher in Smashwords. I have three authors working for me. Not too bad for an author who had to wait several years to find a publisher who would publish my first novel.

The Pencil Sharpener Man
The Pencil Sharpener Man is a short essay, from personal experience.
It doesn't use nasty words, I does point up a major failing in many public schools.
Read it at your own risk, particularly if you are involved in the public schools or if you have children in the public schools.

Take That Amazon!
I have some of my titles published in a site called A1AdultEbooks. The following is an e-mail from Stuart, who runs A1AdultEbooks.
Hi,
This email is going out to all authors who are registered on our sites as either self-publishing or Exclusive to us at Fiction4All and A1AdultEbooks and our network of sites.
Okay, most of you will now know that Amazon and others such as B&N and Kobo have recently blocked a LOT of adult fiction stories and I know times are tough. With just under one sixth of my exclusive author titles now blocked by Amazon, I am furious - and when I get furious, as some of you know already, I tend to come out fighting.
So, for all you adult fiction writers - welcome to our Adult Authors Co-Operative! Based at www.tabooreading.com, in addition to the royalties you are already earning from our existing sites, you will earn a flat 75% of the sales price of your books on Taboo Reading. This site is only available to my exclusive authors and those of you who are self-publishing.
Being a co-operative site - we need co-operation from as many authors as possible. To help us all achieve something, every author with a book published on Taboo Reading, has his or her own home page.
You can find out what yours is by logging into our author area at: http://wwww.fiction4all.com/authors/a... and then going down the left menu and click on the Your Author Pages link. On the next page, your home page on Taboo Reading will display, as well as any page you can link to on either Fiction4All or A1AdultEbooks as appropriate. All you need to do is take the link on Taboo Reading and use it in your blogs, on Facebook, Twitter or any other place you write or advertise and bring people to your home page at Taboo Reading.
If enough of us do this, it will bring a tidal wave of people to Taboo Reading who will find what you write without censorship and other non-adult meaningless garbage coming up when they search for what they are truly interested in.
Okay, we have to abide with what PayPal will allow in terms of content, but for most of you reading this email, basically if your work is okay with Smashwords (even if it doesn't make it to their Premium Catalogue) then it should be okay on Taboo Reading. Read our publishing guides in the author area to double check what we can and cannot publish.
Take a look around, tell your friends and let`s all party at the expense of the big sellers.
As of today we will be recording and reporting sales on Taboo Reading separately to our other sites - but the royalties will still be added to your existing account. We are building a separate leader board and best-sellers list as well and in a few days we will be showing those details purely based on what is selling at Taboo Reading - we just need some more data first!
We will be developing the home pages for authors on Taboo Reading further in the weeks ahead. So, if you have any suggestions, likes or dislikes please let me know. I can not guarantee to meet everyone`s desires as we have built an automated page generator to keep things as simple as we can for all of you, but I will read every comment and do what the majority feedback requests (if we can!).
When submitting a book to us, please remember to access the author/self-publishing suite at:
http://www.fiction4all.com/authors/ac...
As always, I`d like to say thank you to everyone for your continued support and I hope we all have a great last few months of 2013. I`d love to see you all promoting your pages at Taboo Reading and for that site to make everyone a whole heap of cash just before Christmas!
Kind Regards
Stuart

The Death of Fictionwise
The Fictionwise site is now all but officially dead. I got most of my novel sales from Fictionwise. I now have to hope that my sales from Barnes and Noble will take up the slack.
Do any of the rest of you have a similar situation? If so what are you doing?

Tall Story
I have just posted a romance, titled Tall Story.
The two main characters are a seven foot one inch tall boy and a six foot eight inch tall girl.
The altitude situations make for some problems.
I would definitely like feedback from readers for Tall Story. TUA.

Contest Entry - "Not A Hero"
Okay, R. Richard has a novel in the (believe it or not) young adult category of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest. What I'm asking for those of you who have Amazon accounts, is some 'Likes' in Amazon (it's free.)
The novel is an adventure novel, with a plot unlike anything that you have ever read before, and can be reached by searching Amazon books for the string: "Not A Hero" R. Richard then click on the title, to get to the 'Liked' page. TIA.
Not A Hero:
Jim King is not quite a midget. He has just been laid off from a job where he was doing well. He then gets a job from a help wanted ad, posted on the front door of a business.
Jim then works hard and smart. He does worry about his new job, because large strong looking young men check in and never seem to check back out.
One day, the Office Manager tells Jim that they need a guy to undertake a job that will pay a year's wages for a day's work.
Jim doesn't believe that someone would pay a year's wages for a day of his work. However, the work is, 'Just out the back door here. Also the company will arrange for Jim to gain an inch and a half in height.' Jim isn't a hero but he's hooked!
Jim is then sent to retrieve an, 'object.' The work is hard and done at the risk of his life, but Jim thinks and struggles through and comes back with the object.
Then the adventure begins.
Jim is sent on more missions to retrieve mysterious objects. Each mission is difficult and done at the risk of his life, but Jim thinks and struggles through and comes back with the object(s).
Gradually, Jim comes to realize that he's involved in something beyond his understanding and that the objects are each some sort of linkage to a very powerful being.
Jim could cut and run, but he refuses to abandon his, 'companions of the journey.'
Eventually, Jim is abandoned in a hostile world, by his employer. Jim's only hope is to help one of the beings that he retrieved, as an object, to arrive at the mysterious Day of Reckoning and a final adventure.

The Beach Murders
The Beach Murders is my first murder mystery. I would appreciate any and all comments.
The background of The Beach Murders is a laid back San Diego Beach area. Under the surface is violence, murder sexual predators and a struggle to survive.
There's action, sex and clever reasoning.
Check it out!
