I Got A Bad Review!
Ah, reviews. Reviews are quite literally some of the best exposure an author can get. Great reviews help books to be seen, and the crazy, ever-changing algorithms favor them. Bad reviews, well. Bad reviews suck. There’s no way around it. It sucks to read something bad about something you’ve worked so hard on, something you’ve poured your heart and soul into.
But the thing is, it happens.
Bad reviews are part of life. Authors know this, myself included, but they still sting every single time we read one. What I can appreciate about a bad review is that at least that reader took the time to write about the book. Most of the time, even the “bad” reviews are constructive criticism. Although, I did read a review one time via Goodreads and the reader shelved it on “piss-poor.” We can’t all have “great-bad” reviews, hah!
All jokes aside, bad reviews are part of being an author, and as I said, most of the time, they aren’t too difficult to deal with. I think it’s important that authors acknowledge both. We can learn and grow from it, and sometimes even have a good laugh at ourselves…at our own expense.

Seeking Beta Readers!
My co-author and I are looking for beta readers to read a finished romantic suspense/thriller novel. It is sitting at just under 56,000 words.
We would need it back in about four weeks but if you can do it sooner that would also be appreciated.
The novel is about a woman who is stabbed and left for dead but survives. She changes her name and flees across the country to stay safe. When she finds out her attacker is being released from prison early she is terrified he will find her. Once she starts finding small notes, hints of him, etc. she knows he's back to finish the job. Along this journey, our MC meets a man and lets her guard down slowly. He becomes her love interest and partner in crime. Hence the romance part as well. Sorry for the rough description but we haven't ironed out a blurb yet.
Please let me know if you would be interested and can do the read-through in 4 weeks or less. Thanks!

Guys, I love writing. My debut novel is out. I have written articles and short stories and probably filled 50+ journals and diaries. But for whatever reason I cannot keep up with a blog to save my life.
I hereby solomnly swear to try my hardest.
