Has the dust settled yet?
I go hide in my writing cave for a few days (okay, more like a few weeks...) and everything explodes around here! I'm still not quite sure what happened (see above - clueless author is clueless). Anybody want to fill me in?
In other news... while I wasn't hanging out here, I actually got a bit of work done. Finished The Only One Who Matters (aka Navy SEALs #2) with LA Witt, started book 2 in the Bannon's Gym series (which doesn't have a title yet).
I'm getting ready for Lori's visit in a couple of weeks. We'll be doing some in-depth research for our next book - ROCK STARS, BITCHES! - by going to two 30 Seconds to Mars concerts, two days in a row. San Jose and the Hollywood Fucking BOWL, baybee! All tax-deductible!
Have I mentioned how much I love my job? :)
Then we're winging our way to Atlanta on the 15th for GayRomLit.
Crazy? Perhaps. FUN? No doubt!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :)
That's why they call it 'work.' All the other four-letter words were taken.
Sorry, folks! Didn't mean to be so scarce, but this is part of what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks:
Getting swag ordered for GayRomLit! Rainbow colored Sharpie markers and T-shirts!
Tomorrow the awesome LA Witt arrives for a week of fun and mayhem (AKA, going to back-to-back 30 Seconds to Mars concerts) before we toddle off to Atlanta.
All in the name of research for our rock star book, of course! We're also working on this piece of total crack-fic involving meth dealers, werewolves (maybe even werewolf meth dealers), and a guy chained up a basement.
This is what happens when you mainline 62 episodes of Breaking Bad in three weeks. (Plus, my brain is a very, very strange place at 2 AM...)
In other news...I'm making headway on Bannon's Gym #2. Hoping to have it out before the end of the year! *crosses fingers*
Speaking of, time to finish this latest chapter. Once Lori arrives, it's gonna be rock stars and werewolf meth dealers ALL DA TIME!

We just spent a motherfucking AWESOME weekend in total 30 Seconds to Mars immersion. Saw two shows back to back - San Jose and the Hollywood Bowl - and man, was it HEAVEN! (Plus, we now have ideas for not, one but two, maybe even THREE rock star books.)
Who says intensive *koff* research *koff* can't be fun?
