I released Crimson Hearts this week. Some of you may not know anything about the book. It's a problem many Indie authors struggle with. We have great books out there, but no way of getting attention for our work.

Here's hoping this overview of Crimson Hearts inspires some interest:

Crimson Hearts is an adult take on vampire romances. You'll be introduced to Nico Reeves, a 500 year old vampire who appears to be stalking a young woman as she jogs. A hit and run driver intercedes and ultimately leads to Nico meeting the young woman, Kaelyn Wyatt.

Kaelyn is not your ordinary woman. She drinks tequila with a passion, curses like a sailor, has a spicy side, and carries baggage from the past with her. She isn't willing to give Nico the time of day until he proves that he is willing to make sacrifices for her. A list of challenges is given Nico by Kaelyn. You'll have to read the book to find out more about the challenges.

Kaelyn's best friend, Jade, drives a 1967 Corvette convertible. She has a fetish for 80s music which is often heard blaring from the Corvette as she races around with Kaelyn at her side. Jade has her own run-in with the vampires.

An ancient prophecy foretells that Nico will meet a chosen mate, fall in love, and have a child together. This child, a day walker, will grow up to bring peace to the otherwise violent vampire world. The Triumvirate of Anarchy does not want peace to come to the vampire world. They thrive on violence and strife.

You will meet a host of characters that complete Nico's coven. Aidan is a gigantic, red haired Scottsman who fondly calls Nico Tiny Tim. Harley will make an appearance. She is an oddball who loves to wear blue lipstick and has deadly skill with daggers and throwing stars. Quinn likes to work out, which is what he does most of the time when he isn't annoying Harley.

There are twists and turns galore in Crimson Hearts. What starts out simply as a romance between a human and a vampire turns into an action-packed story that continues throughout the book.

A part 2 of the series is planned but that depends on the readers. Book 2 will tell Calum's story--Nico and Kaelyn's son. If you like Crimson Hearts post a review or email me to let me know you read it and liked it.
