What's new with me?
So this week has been pretty chaotic, but very exciting.
The kids are off school on study leave so I’ve had to don many hats this week. From mum’s taxi, to ruthless taskmaster, to builder of a dystopian post-apocalypse art project (don’t ask!), to dog groomer. Yep, I’m just living the dream here.
My debut book, CLICK, has been released in paperback; thank you, Jennifer and Sharon at Books To Go Now. And being the saddo that I apparently am (well, according to afore mentioned little darlings anyway), I had to buy a copy just to prove to myself that it really happened.
And…I’ve just submitted my new story, GUILT TRIP, for editing.
GUILT TRIP is a little different to CLICK, but still features a real woman front and centre, caught up in a love triangle with her emotionally barren fiancé, and her drunken one night stand; who just happens to be her fiancé’s cousin.
You just know it’s gonna get messy.

Talia's Time Out
Hmm, where to start?
Ok, so I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to write here, it’s all new to me, so I’m just going to have to figure it out as I go. But I’m not going to pretend my life is so amazing that I simply have to share every minute detail with you.
Nor am I going to pretend I’m living some kind of Instagram life on a Mediterranean island, posting pictures of myself sipping cocktails beach side, against the setting sun backdrop.
Basically I’m just a normal mum, making it up as I go along. Trying to get through each day without any extra grey hairs or frown lines. Which is no mean feat when sharing your home (or Madhouse as we affectionately refer to it), with two teenagers and a ragtag collection of stray, abandoned and dysfunctional animals, each with their own God complex.
Although, according to my kids I’m anything but a normal mum. Apparently I’m a kid trapped in an old woman’s body!
