The True Magi

The pen, it’s our magic wand
the ink, our fairy dust
fueled by the imagination
magical mana pouring out across the paper.

Turning fantasy into reality
a demonstration of written duality
in the moment, in the flow

Building worlds,
and the fights? what a sight!

Hey…thinking of ending the world?
will your MC get his girl?
the plot is endless

twisted beyond to the readers disbelief
now their favourite is deceased

Death by suspension, rejuvenated by expectation
predicted, unpredictable
Was it the end or was it the beginning?

Who is the true magician?

“Books are a uniquely portable magic.”

― Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft

Metanoia: A Journey of Change

Would you step out of pride to hear “something is out of tune”?
Revealing your inner world has fell into anguish.
You have become motionless, without action, a loon.

Still captivated by comfort, wrapped in your cocoon
Will you stay as you are, with thoughts of languish?
Would you step out of pride to hear “something is out of tune”

Have the thoughts of failure kept you marooned?
Unable to make a step forward, lost in limbo and mental anguish.
You have become motionless, without action, a loon.

Quick to procrastinate, however opportune;
Why accomplish an impossible goal that seems outlandish?
Would you step out of pride to hear “something is out of tune”

Nothing will change if you lay there untuned,
The music of your soul is enough to render all doubt vanquished.
You have become motionless, without action, a loon.

Take a page from the heavens, just like the phases of the moon,
Reaching a state of full, a journey of change paints our canvas.
Would you step out of pride to hear “something is out tune”
You have become motionless, without action, a loon.

Those who cannot change their mind cannot change anything

George Bernard Shaw

Magari – A Wish or A Maybe or I hope.

Living life with uncertainty is a risk considered carefully,
While avoiding stepping into the unknown carelessly
without placing oneself in a “what if” loop forcibly.

A maybe? Perhaps.

Having a desirable expectation
Knowing full well desire is nothing without action,
It’s but a small fraction; it’s a “I hope”

Sending good fortune on your adventure,
Manifesting your objective, a desirable fulfillment.
Swept with a feeling of accomplishment;

A wish? Perhaps.

sometimes things become possible if we want them bad enough

T.S. Eliot

Light of the Night

You now seem wide awake, staring down from above all,
Lighting the dark paths so brightly and majestic,
What if you lose your grip? What if you fall?

Clear, twinkling accompanies you, widely sprawl,
Reminding me of something nostalgic;
You now seem wide awake, staring down from above all.

You hid behind the fluffy covers, the attractiveness, I am appalled,
Sometimes you leave us, travelling the cosmic,
What if you lose your grip? What if you fall?

You live in phases, each a different you, at dark your name is called.
You sleep for days, leaving us in the dark, making clear the star art is mosaic;
You now seem wide awake, staring down from above all.

You felt like taking a closer look, the earth seems small,
Super lit, super you, who were you guiding? Poetic;
What if you lose your grip? What if you fall?

You are the light of the night, up above you stand tall,
Guiding the shadows to find their way, how angelic,
What if you lose your grip? What if you fall?
You now seem wide awake, staring down from above all.

“The moon will guide you through the night with her brightness, but she will always dwell in the darkness, in order to be seen.”

Shannon L. Alder

Limerence – (Love or Lust)

It was an addiction mixed with love,
Was it our destiny? Or an attractive obsession?
“I miss you” our daily refrain, our heart would not behave.

Our body yearn to be held, a dangerous crave,
Singing a lonely song of affection,
It was an addiction mixed with love.

You know it was lonely, you knew my heart was an emotional dove,
Ignoring hidden signs, was it an illusion?
“I miss you” our daily refrain, our heart would not behave.

My feeling went into writing songs with emotive,
Dancing on ice, waltzing towards a future of delusion,
It was an addiction mixed with love.

We had to stop, it had to end, a dangerous love,
My heart had a yearn for our connection,
“I miss you” our daily refrain, our heart would not behave.

“Do you believe in soul mates” limerence or true love?
To and fro our feelings went, a road to our story’s conclusion
It was an addiction mixed with love
“I miss you” our daily refrain, our heart would not behave.

“Limerence is an obsessive, unrequited love. It is actually a disorder. A disease if you will.”

― Elizabeth Cohen, The Hypothetical Girl

Love Technician

Let me be a bit truthful, I like you
I have been thinking, how to let you know
I’m not going say it, I’ll just show

Lend me your ears, i’ll give it back
Let me bring my approach all cool and relaxed
Stopped my mind not to lose my nerves
As my imagination explore your curves

Drifting 360 donuts, making me uplifting
AS quote my words, it got you thinking
why your body has my mind sinking;
Twisting, as I am here you are smiling

is that my sign? for us to intertwine? or you just
Mm…I lost my thoughts, was I inside your eyes?
traveling your soul, exploring your thighs
with that smile, I’m worth your while

Bold? Well it’s a love confession
Smooth with words in all it’s likeness, well I am the love technician
you don’t need a love letter, I think this is better.
don’t you agree?

“I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”

Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Je ne sais quoi – I don’t know what…

“I never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful”

unknown

Right after finishing my first book The Unspoken: An anthology from the ballad of the mind second edition, couple months later I started on my second book which is still in the process 47 pages in, titled Logorrhea: Building Your vocabulary with words Xs, whew! that’s long. The idea of this book is to find unusual words for each letters in the alphabet (not limited to English words) and write a poem according to what their meanings are (spoiler alert), so in essence an education and entertainment. Now, how I got the idea for this book? that’s a story for another time. Now to the title of this post.

Je ne sais quoi

Within my line of sight
There is something that attracts me
Can’t quite word it

Is it the beauty within?
Like an autumn evening
With vibrant colours

Or is it freshly bloomed flowers
Just after the white had melt
and the sun peeks over the edge it’s thawing warmth is felt?

[image error]I don’t know what…

Indicating something new is on the horizon
The birth of spring…

Mm, she has that little bit of something.

Je ne sais quoi literally means “I don’t know what” in French. The phrase was borrowed into English as an expression of a quality that makes something or someone attractive, distinctive, or special in some way, but is hard to put into words.

Insouciant (adj)

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”

Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

What of these projects? What of these….
An indifferent shrug left my shoulders
Maybe a little later;

You seem unconcerned, a bit detached, events happen, you don’t react,
your energy is unruffled, your emotions unreadable, leaving others
baffled.

When in fact you are just being calm in an uptight situation,
Untroubled by the world’s destructive fixation.

Oh, don’t forget unworried, will it fixes itself or can you?
Why waste energy on needless thoughts?

Well if you could communicate it little better, it wouldn’t be for naught.
I would do that but I am too nonchalant.
