I’m giving ten copies away to celebrate!!!

There are a few times in life when something happens you didn’t expect that blows you away! I had that happen to me, and I want YOU to help me celebrate.

Rebecca’s Amish Heart Restored won the 2023 Faith, Hope & Love Reader’s Choice Award.

Faith, Hope, & Love Award

I don’t put much stock in awards and accolades, especially when my only goal as a writer is to offer books that lift my readers up and show them there is always a better way through Christ. If it weren’t for God giving me the ability to craft a story, I wouldn’t be writing this email. But he did, and I love sharing that gift with you. Just as much as I love being able to share this special offer with you.

Book bundle special

I have ten copies of Rebecca’s story in my office, and I am giving them away to the first ten readers who click on this offer. (They will go fast, so act quickly.)

Buy books 1, 3, and 4 and get Rebecca’s story for FREE!!!! Claim your free copy here>>

Here is a little look into Rebecca’s story and one of the reasons why so many readers across the country have fallen in love with this series.

Rebecca’s Amish Heart Restored

The rhythmic movement of Rebecca Byler’s spinning wheel picked up speed as she thought about her run-in with her younger schwester, Emma. In all her twenty-three years, she’d never been more aggravated than she was at that moment. When the roving of alpaca fiber she let slide through her thumb and index finger hit a clump of dark matter, she pulled back and let the draft of yarn fall to the floor. “Ugh! I don’t have time for this.”

Rebecca’s twin, Anna, stopped the drum roller and turned her way. “Now what?”

“I’m still finding bits of hay in the roving. You’re not getting it clean enough.”

Anna stooped down and picked up the tan cloud of fiber and held it toward the light of the window. “I don’t see anything.”

“I felt it. Look closer.”

Anna held it out. “I don’t see a thing; show me.”

Rebecca waved her off. “Just be more careful when you’re picking and carding. We can’t afford to have our customers complain our yarn isn’t clean enough.”

Anna threw the clump back in the carding box and asked, “What’s got you all worked up today?”

Irritation crept up Rebecca’s neck as she replayed the argument that she had at the bakery earlier that morning. “Can you believe Emma had the nerve to tell me I was hateful?”

“Why did she say that?”

“Things would be so much better around here if she would’ve stayed in Sugarcreek.”

Anna tilted her head. “I bet you provoked her. It doesn’t sound like something Emma would say.”

Rebecca snarled, “Why do you always insist on taking her side?”

“I’m not taking anyone’s side, but I know how you get.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“You tell me. You’ve been harping on Emma for months and nit-picking about every little thing. If you don’t watch it, word is going to get back to datt, and then you’ll really have something to fuss about.”

“Me? It’s Emma who should be worried. I don’t know what she and Samuel are up to, but they’ve got something they’re hiding, and I’ll figure it out one way or another.”

“Rebecca, why are you so set on causing them trouble?”

“She’s the one who thinks she’s better than everyone else.”

“How do you figure?”

“Think about it. First, she runs off to Sugarcreek to spend time with her birth family and leaves Mamm when she needed her most. In my books, Mamm would still be alive if she hadn’t spent the last few months of her life worrying about Emma. Next, she strings Samuel along for months only to come back assuming he’d drop everything and take her back.”

Anna laid a cloud of fiber in front of the teeth of the drum. She turned the handle to feed the batt through, combing it in long, smooth batches. “Why are you harping on this? That was three years ago.”

“Because it was the start of her prancing around like we all owe her something.”

“You’re exaggerating. Emma doesn’t act like that at all. You don’t give her enough credit. How do you think you would have felt if you found out Mamm and Datt weren’t really your parents after sixteen years?”

Rebecca snarled, “Elated that she wasn’t really my schwester!”

Anna gasped. “You take that back. You don’t really mean it.”

“I won’t, and I do.”

“You are hateful, and I can see why Emma said that to you. You best take your attitude to the Lord before it gets you in trouble.”

The bell above the door to their father’s shop jingled, and Rebecca snapped, “I’ll get it.”

Their father built a room off the side of his furniture shop for them to sell the yarn they produced from the alpacas raised on their farm. A divider kept the washing, sorting, and spinning area separate from the display floor and the customers. In the two years since they’d opened their store, Stitch ‘n Time, their alpaca and specialty wool yarns had become a popular stop for both the Amish and English. They even started offering hand-made products, on consignment, from the women in their community.

Rebecca made her way around two spinning wheels and pulled the curtain aside to step out into the store. Their father had built display racks along the outside wall to hold the hand-dyed fiber. An array of baskets sat on the worktable in the middle of the room that contained mittens, hats, socks, and scarves available for sale. Canisters of different sized crochet hooks and knitting needles adorned the counter by the cash register.

It didn’t take her but a second to recognize Samuel’s broad shoulders and wisps of hair that flipped up from behind his straw hat. “Samuel?”

He turned toward her and in an irritated tone, stated, “I’d like a word with you.”

“What about?”

“Let’s step outside.”

Her lip turned upward before saying, “The porch? Not so sure that would be the honorable thing to do with your wife’s schwester.”

“I’m in no mood for your shenanigans,” he moved her way and whispered, “I can air your dirty laundry right here so Anna and your datt can hear, or we can take this outside.”

She moved to the door and to the far end of the porch. “So, what is so important that we had to come out here?”

“We can start with your visit to the bakery this morning. Don’t you think Emma’s had enough to deal with the last six months? She doesn’t need your verbal abuse to add to it.”

Rebecca crossed her arms over her chest. “I only spoke the truth.”

“I don’t believe a word that comes from your mouth. It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve stirred up trouble for your own benefit.”

She snapped her head in his direction. “Like I’ve said before, if you bring any of that back up, I’ll tell your sweet little Emma exactly how her wonder boy behaved while she was away.”

He moved closer and snarled, “Don’t threaten me.”

She backed up. “Ohhh …did I hit a nerve?”

“Don’t think for a minute that I’ll stand by and watch you harass my wife. Whatever you think she’s done is no concern of yours, and I’ll warn you one last time. Keep your snide remarks and accusations to yourself.”

“Or what? You’ll tell whom, the bishop?”

“I mean it, Rebecca, don’t go there.”

Rebecca walked back to the door, held her hand on the knob, and said, “The way I see it, you have a lot more to lose than I do.”

He walked toward her, stopped at her shoulder, and muttered in her ear. “That’s where you’re wrong. I’ve already made my peace with God …have you?”

She snapped back. “But have you made your peace with my schwester?”

He didn’t respond to her question but walked off the porch and into his waiting buggy.

Her nails dug into the palm of her hand, and she clenched her teeth at his comment. She’d kept his secret for years, holding onto it until just the right time when it could cause the most pain. If he thought for one minute that, she wouldn’t use it to get her revenge, then he was sadly mistaken. If she planned it right, her little schwester would be sorry she ever stepped foot back in Willow Springs.

Rebecca’s personality is anything other than the typical sweet Amish woman. Her past continues to haunt her as she struggles to not allow others to come to close to her. She is definitely in need of something in her life that will help her chart a better course for her future.

Sunny

If you enjoy Amish fiction filled with flawed characters, you will want to read Rebecca’s Amish Heart Restored. Rebecca is not the typical Amish young lady as she’s harsh, harbors secrets, and will not allow anyone to get close. Throughout this beautiful tale, meet individuals who truly cared and understood what Rebecca needed most in her life. The story is complex with dimensional loving characters who desired to truly follow Biblical teaching with plenty of twists and turns within their lives.

Marilyn

I love this author’s books because she gives us real-life situations in which her characters experience deep struggles that help us identify with them as individuals. She shows her deep respect for the Amish and their chosen lifestyle, yet she also addresses the serious flaws in their religious beliefs. I thought this book was very well-written and found myself wanting to read “just one more chapter” to find out what was coming next for these characters.

Scribe Emma Yoder from Willow Springs shares a letter…

Willow Springs, PA – New Order Fellowship

March 30, 3023

Today is another beautiful day after a few days of stormy weather last week. It blew so hard that the neighbor’s pine tree ended up on their car. Praise the Lord; no one was injured. Samuel spent the forenoon helping them cut up the tree and clear up the mess.

Spring is becoming known with an array of Johnny jump-ups, daffodils, and hyacinths everywhere. It’s a glorious smell! The sap is flowing, and buckets adorn every tree throughout Lawrence County. Daniel Miller has had a lot of help cooking syrup. I’ve seen a lot of visitors to the sugar house with lots of hands gathering sap.

Between funerals and church, folks are traveling and hosting visitors in numbers. Even Barbara Wagler is in Sugarcreek this week, tending to her ailing father. God willing, the Lord will see to her family’s needs. God knows Joseph Wagler will need our prayers as he cares for Barbara’s boys in her absence. Perhaps this is a good time to fill their tummies with home-cooked meals.

Noah Millers and Levi Yoders left on the 25th for sunny Florida. We all wonder what shenanigans they will get into there. You know the saying, “What happens in Pinecraft stays in Pinecraft.” Word has it Levi and Noah have been seen taking an evening ride on borrowed bikes.

Should do some sewing today. The twins grow out of their clothes as fast as I make them. Have plans for a Sister’s Day on Friday. It will be good to catch up with Anna, Rebecca, and Katie. We all get so busy raising a house full of kinner that we forget to enjoy ourselves. Mamm always said, “True friends are like bright sunflowers that never fade away, even over distance and time.” So, I will treasure those rare occasions we spend the day together.

I’ll go now, wishing you God’s richest blessings.

A Message from my Amish friend, Barbara Wagler

Hello there, Tracy’s friends,

Barbara Wagler here.

As many of you know, Tracy is getting ready to launch my story, Barbara’s Amish Truth Exposed, on March 30th. While our backgrounds are quite different, we formed a bond while she wrote my story. Truly kindred spirits!

I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and she helped me see that there was no reason why my past had to define my future and that God doesn’t want that for me.

My family, like so many others, had secrets. I wasn’t sure I wanted to share, but Tracy convinced me that revealing our struggles might help someone else. So, while I’m a bit embarrassed to share the ugly truth of it all, it helped me heal…and I will be ever grateful that Tracy encouraged me to be honest with my feelings.

I’m as giddy as a schoolgirl with how things turned out, and I can’t wait for you to meet Joseph. I admit I wasn’t happy when he returned to Willow Springs. We both had some bitterness to work through but let me tell you, I’m glad we did. He’s the best thing that ever happened to the boys, and I and I can’t imagine my life without him in it.

I’d love to chat more, but I had best sign off for now; my schwester Susan and my Mamm are due to arrive from Sugarcreek any minute, and I want to make sure everything is perfect for their visit. Besides, Joseph just peeked his head in the back door. I swear that man can smell a pan of brownies a mile away for sure and certain. Keeping him out of them until supper might be an issue.

Real quick, before Joseph sticks his dirty hands into the center of the brownie pan…don’t forget to pre-order my story now before she has to raise the price after launch.

You can pre-order the ebook on Amazon or pre-order a signed paperback on her website. FYI, she always tucks something extra in the package when you order directly from her.

Your new friend,

Barbara Wagler

Barbara's brownies

I was tickled Barbara wanted to send a personal message. She was so sweet; she even sent me a box of her famous brownies to enjoy. My hubby, much like Joseph, will have a hard time staying out of them until after supper.

She trusted. He lied.

I’m happy to tell you that my new book, Anna’s Amish Fears Revealed, is available! You can officially purchase a print copy or the ebook to enjoy today.

Early reviewers had this to say…

I have really come to appreciate Tracy’s writing style as well and her eye for details that make you feel as if your reading about friends and yet knowing that some where down deep we can really relate to their path in life as if it’s own. I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series and pray you all find that bit of peace reading it. Cherese A.

I adored all the characters and it’s such a breath of fresh air to read something that is not only Christian but taught me about the recent changes within the Amish communities from following the strict orders of the Ordnung to a more Jesus-focused faith. It inspired me to involve Christ in more of my day-to-day activities and decisions. Kim C.

With each new book, I continue to be blessed by the way this author portrays The Message in such a way, the reader cannot help but be filled with hope and the desire to know the one true God. Evelyn. F

Enjoy a sneak peek….

A heaviness pressed down on Anna Byler’s chest, and she reached out to catch herself from falling. Her heart raced in anticipation all morning of having to go to Shetler’s Grocery. Her schwester, Rebecca, continued to push her out of the house. But in all reality, she felt the safest tending to the chickens or helping with chores.

The grocery shelf shook under her weight. Before she had a chance to slip to the floor gracefully, her arm caught a stack of cans, making a commotion clamored throughout the store.

A fuzziness floated before her eyes, and she squeezed them tight, praying it would pass quickly. An awful buzz echoed in her ears, and she leaned forward to put her head between her knees and prayed. Please, Lord, make it go away.

A tender voice and a warm hand on her back made her tip her head toward the calming call.

“What is it, Anna? Are you ill?”

Even if she wanted to answer Naomi Kauffman, she couldn’t form two audible words. The old woman called out. “Simon, where are you?”

Did she hear correctly? Had Naomi called for Simon? Oh, please, Lord, not Simon. He can’t see me like this.

She tried to stand up with a shuddering sigh, only to fall to her knees.

Mrs. Kauffman supported her arm. “No child, stay put. Simon is here. Let him help you.”

The aroma of pine shavings and diesel fuel swirled under her nose, revealing Simon’s closeness. After all their years apart, his job at Mast Lumber Mill did little but remind her of the plans they once had.

Their paths rarely crossed since he’d returned to Willow Springs. When he followed his dream instead of his heart three years ago, she’d all but written that part of her life off. But his touch only added to the panic creeping through her skin.

Anguish filled her until the weight crushed her lungs, preventing her from taking an easy breath. Try as she might, she pulled her arm from his grip, but it only caused her knees to buckle further. Simon placed his arms under her legs and around her waist and picked her up quickly.

The sudden rush forced her head to drop into his chest. She stopped fighting and let his strong arms cradle her body without any option but to allow him to carry her.

“Relax, Anna, I’ve got you.”

She didn’t have the strength to argue and thought, Relax? How dare he think I can relax in his arms after all he’s done?

Simon stopped near the cash register and put Anna in the chair Mr. Shetler had pulled out. Simon snapped his head toward the direction of the people who had hovered around them. “Someone! A glass of water.”

Simon fell to one knee, rested his hand under her arm, and leaned closer. “Did you have another panic attack?”

There weren’t many people outside her immediate family who knew she suffered from spells of anxiety. She’d hoped to keep it that way. When she lifted her face toward the crowd, her heart sank. She leaned onto Simon’s shoulder and begged, “Please make them go away.”

Simon stood and guided her toward the door. “She’s fine. Just a little overheated. A glass of water and she’ll be good as new.”

Naomi followed them outside and opened the passenger side door of Simon’s truck. After helping Anna to the leather seat, he thanked his mother.

Mrs. Kauffman leaned inside and handed Anna a cup of water. “Here, dear, drink this and let Simon turn on the air conditioner to cool you down.”

Naomi let her hand come to rest on her son’s forearm. “I won’t be but a few more minutes. Perhaps we should take her home?”

Tears blurred Anna’s vision. “I’ve made a scene. I’m so sorry.”

The older woman patted her arm. “Now, don’t think another thing of it. These things happen.”

Anna looked worried. “Naomi, if the People catch you speaking to me, you’ll get in trouble. You know I’m shunned, and you’re not allowed to talk to me.”

Mrs. Kauffman’s tender tone calmed her fears. “You let me worry about that. No one will tell me I can’t help someone who needs assistance. It will take more than this to ruffle my feathers.”

Simon shut the door and Anna closed her eyes against the sudden tears, leaned her head back on the seat and thought, Why does this continue to happen to me? And of all people, why did it have to be Simon? That part of her heart had long closed, and every time she was around him, all it did was stir up memories she had tried to bury.

She opened her eyes when Simon slid into the driver’s seat. If fear alone didn’t paralyze her, the picture hanging from his rearview mirror and the fishing lure she’d bought him made her gasp for air.

Bile settled in the back of her throat, forcing her to flee the truck. The hue of color from the changing seasons gave her no comfort as she ran across the road and through the field that led back to her schwester Rebecca’s house. Even the pounding of her heart couldn’t block out his cry.

 “Anna…please! Let me explain.”

Enjoy the whole story today!

Scribe Emma Yoder from Willow Springs shares a letter…

Willow Springs, PA – New Order FellowshipAugust 31, 2022

The hot and humid dog days of August are here! We have had on-and-off thundershowers, just enough to keep the young boys busy mowing grass. I have a blackberry pie cooling on the counter, which will make a good addition to our evening meal. Sister Anna and I have countless briar scratches for all our hard work picking berries.

Last week a vanload of Kaufmans went to Berlin, Ohio, to attend a wedding for Jebediah and Naomi’s nephew. The church was empty on Sunday, with six out of the seven Kaufmann families gone.

School starts in these parts after Labor Day. The extra help around the house and farm will soon be replaced with quiet. Hard to believe we are in that time of the year again.

Good to see both Joseph Wagler and Simon Kauffman return to the community. Both have been gone from our midsts for some time. Simon has been working at Mast Lumber Mill, and Joseph has been helping his sister-in-law Barbara with the farm since her husband John passed. God always answers prayers.

Some people attended the funeral of John A. Miller’s wife, Edna, in Meadville, PA. Thoughts go to the family and the four children she leaves behind.

I must go. Corn is on the menu, and it won’t pick itself. “Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult.”

Anna’s Amish Fears Revealed

A heaviness pressed down on Anna’s chest, and she reached out to catch herself from falling. All morning her heart raced in anticipation of having to go to Shetler’s Grocery. Rebecca continued to push her to get out of the house. But in all reality, she felt the safest tending to the chickens or helping with chores.

The grocery shelf shook under her weight. Before she had a chance to slip to the floor gracefully, her arm caught a stack of cans, making a commotion that could be heard throughout the store.

A fuzziness floated before her eyes, and she squeezed her eyes tight, praying it would pass quickly. An awful buzz echoed in her ears, and she leaned forward and put her head between her knees, and she prayed. Please, Lord, make it go away.

A tender voice and a warm hand on her back made her tip her head in the direction of the calming call.

“What is it, Anna? Are you ill?”

Even if she wanted to answer Mrs. Kauffman, she couldn’t form two audible words if she wanted to. The older woman called out. “Simon, where are you?”

Did she hear correctly? Had Mrs. Kauffman just called for Simon? Oh, please, Lord, not Simon. He can’t see me like this.

With a shuddering sigh, she tried to stand up, only to fall to her knees.

The older woman grabbed her arm. “No child, stay put. Simon is here. Let him help you.”

It didn’t take a second to know it was Simon just by the smell of pine on his shirt. His job at Mast Lumber Mill provided him with a steady job, even if he wasn’t Amish any longer.

Their paths rarely crossed since he chose to follow his dream instead of his heart. But his touch only added to the sense of panic creeping through her skin.

Anguish filled her until she thought the weight would crush her lungs. Try as she might, she pulled her arm from his grip, but it only caused her knees to buckle under her. He placed his arm under her legs and around her waist and picked her up in one swift motion.

The sudden rush forced her head to drop into his chest. Without any option but to allow him to carry her, she stopped fighting and let his strong arms cradle her body.

      “Relax, Annie, I’ve got you.”

Annie, how dare he call me that. He lost that right four years ago. But she didn’t have the strength to argue.

He stopped near the cash register and sat her down in the chair Mr. Shetler had pulled out. Simon snapped his head toward the direction of people who had followed the racket. “Someone get her a glass of water.”

Simon fell to one knee, rested his hand under her arm, and whispered close to her face. “Did you have another panic attack?”

There weren’t many people outside her immediate family who knew she suffered from constant panic attacks, and she’d hoped to keep it that way. When she lifted her face toward the crowd, her heart sank. Leaning into Simon’s shoulder, she pleaded, “Please make them stop staring at me.”

Simon lifted her from the chair and carried her outside while stating. “She’s fine. Just a little overheated. A glass of water and she’ll be good as new.”

His mother followed them outside and opened the passenger side door of his truck. He gently placed her on the leather seat and thanked his mother.

Mrs. Kauffman leaned inside and handed Anna a cup of water. “Here, dear, drink this and let Simon turn on the air conditioner to cool you down.”

She let her hand rest on her son’s forearm.

“If Bishop Weaver catches you speaking to me, you’ll get in trouble.”

Mrs. Kauffman’s tender tone calmed her fears. “You let me and Mr. Kauffman worry about Bishop Weaver. It will take more than this to ruffle my feathers.”

Anna closed her eyes against the sudden tears and thought. Why does this continue to happen to me?

Simon closed the door, and she laid her head on the back of the seat. Of all people, why did it have to be Simon? That part of her heart had long closed.

She opened her eyes when Simon slid into the driver’s seat and turned her head in his direction. If fear alone didn’t paralyze her, the picture hanging from his rearview mirror made her gasp for air.

Without thinking twice, she fled from the truck and ran across the road and through the field that led back to Eli and Rebecca’s.

Simon bellowed, “Annie … please! Let me explain.”

An Amish Christmas Gift Worth Waiting For

When the summer heat forces you inside, take the time to enjoy a little Christmas in July with The Amish Christmas Gift Worth Waiting For.

It will take an Amish Christmas miracle to mend the hearts of two lost and lonely souls this holiday season.

When tragedy strikes the young Amish woman Amanda Beiler, not once but twice, she is left to raise her seven sisters by herself. As her faith is tested, her Amish community surrounds her with love and compassion, but will it be enough to see her through? Or will Bishop Weaver take things into his own hands and use his widowed nephew to help heal her wounded spirit.

Christmas should be a time for joy and renewal, but for Adam Weaver, it only reminds him of all he’s lost. Can he put his anguish aside to comfort the young woman, or will he ignore the prompting of his uncle to help a neighbor in need? When Adam’s pain is still too raw to speak of, he pens a series of messages to Amanda that turns into an unexpected friendship.

Christmas should be a time for joy and renewal, but for Amanda Beiler and Adam Weaver, it only reminds them of all they have lost. Can their shared grief help them realize sometimes the best gifts in life are those worth waiting for?

PLUS: Enjoy an excerpt from An Amish Christmas at the Apple Blossom Inn that releases in November 2022.

Now, it’s time for my Christmas song title: It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Save the holiday song titles from each of the 26 blog stops, and when you reach the final blog, enter all the song titles on this form for a chance to win the grand prize of a $520 Amazon gift card and a copy of each participating author’s featured book OR first prize of a copy of each participating author’s featured book.

Thank you so much for visiting! The next author on the tour is Kathy McKinsey and her Christmas book Millie’s Christmas. You can find it at this link. Remember, the 2022 Christmas in July Reader Blog Tour & Giveaway ends July 22 at 8 PM EST!
