Caption underneath titled "A Writing Adventure" followed by this: "Dickson County author L. A. Smith recently wrote Island Jet 370 after a suggestion from a friend. 'Writing offered me an escape while grieving the loss of an adult child,' she said. Smith spent many hours researching information about Maylasia Airlines Flight 370, the plane that vanished in 2014 soon after take off. The fictional book, while based on the story of the missing plane, was spun into an adventurous story of survival and suspense." I am so happy with the results. I just wanted you all to know. I am very thankful that in the first five days of my giveaway, more than 450 of you entered to win. Island Jet 370 by L. A. Smith is the kind of book that is detailed properly to place you among the characters. You will experience their triumphs and their struggles. I ask those of you who read this book to please post a review. Upon being asked how I made the book so detailed, first I had no answer. Then I realized while I was struggling to deal with my daughters death, it was I who felt the need to escape. Somehow this fact caused me to be able to enter my own virtual reality of the escape. It felt as though I hovered above the characters only reporting what I saw. It is my hope that my readers also feel they are among the Islanders. Enjoy your escape!

Thanks to the great people who work at Goodreads. They are always prompt to reply and answer questions. Yesterday I saw that someone's rating was at the opposite end of the spectrum from the seventeen that exist on my Amazon account and on my website islandjet370.com. There will be those who like books or even TV shows that others do not. The generation gap has widened over the last few years with the onset of modern technology. Not everyone grows up working crops and living off the land anymore. This upbringing is sprinkled throughout my life and my book. It is my hope that more will enjoy it than not. Praying for a good outcome.
