It's February? Are you sure?
I looked at the calendar yesterday and could not believe it was already February. Wasn't it only Christmas last week? This was pretty much how I looked at the time. In fact I'm still a little like that now.
My deadline for Running Scared is getting closer and I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was getting more anxious about it by the minute. I do love my rockstars and I want to share them with you guys so much, but I'm also a little scared because...What if they don't live up to expectations? Then I kick myself and ask, Does anyone even have expectations? LOL. So all in all I just spend my time yelling at myself.
Also since it's February, that means it's almost Valentine's Day.
Being that I'm single, I have no plans for the day of love. Did you hear those violins? HEHE. If you have plans, share them with me in the comments, so I can live vicariously through you.
Procrastinating is my thing and I'm pretty sure writing this blog post is me doing exactly that. So I'm going to love ya and leave so I can finish writing Running Scared.

New Year, New TBR List.
Happy new year guys!
I know, I'm almost a week late but I'm still in that 'what day is it?' phase, so please forgive my lateness. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, whether you got to spend it with your loved ones or was forced to only connect via FaceTime or Zoom.
My Christmas and New Year celebrations were quiet. Co-parenting sucks when you have to share your kids for the holidays. My older sons are 18 and one of them has just started living with his girlfriend so that made this Christmas different for us too.
Life is all growing and changing, we have to learn go with the flow if it's something we can't control. 2020 definitely brought that to my attention.
Speaking of 2020, it was an interesting year for sure. It also gave many of us plenty of spare time to read and binge watch TV, so I thought for my yearly reflection I'd share my top 10 reads of 2020. Here they are in no particular order:
Half of the authors featured in my top ten where actually new to me, so that is definitely going to be one thing I do more often, pick up books from authors I haven't read before. Fell free to comment and share your top reads with me.
I'm going to try and post more often this year, as well as release more because last year totally sucked when it came to writing and releasing for me. I was pretty disappointed in my lack of accomplishments last year.
I hope 2021 brings you all amazing adventures even if they have to be close to home.

I went into 2020 without much thought of what I wanted to get out of the year. I knew I wanted to write books and publish them, but I didn’t really have anything planned out, and because of that—and everything 2020 has thrown at us; I think it’s safe to say everyone has had a shocker of a year—I haven’t really accomplished much.
So, this month I've taken steps to plan my 2021 out. I have a writing and publishing schedule down on paper. Well, it’s actually in a google sheet but you get the idea.
Anyway, here are the books I’m going to be releasing in 2021.
Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.

Bunnies Everywhere
Spring is in the air and there are bunnies everywhere.
Not real bunnies. Plot Bunnies.
I can't seem to look at anything without getting a story idea, which I shouldn't really complain about because it would be really crappy if I had no ideas for stories at all. It's just when I have so many ideas, I get overwhelmed, because as much as I want to write all the things, I do have to try and focus on one more than others but I can't pick which to focus on first.
Boxers, Rockstars, Bikers, Strippers...
The struggle is real people.
Now if only I had the Rock telling me to focus... Who am I kidding? I'd be too busy staring to focus.

I loved Completely Changed and gave it a five star review—which I will do a seperate post for—but for now I have to say how much these characters burrowed into my heart and had me invested in their story. Even side characters left me hoping Kamisa had a book planned for them in the future too.

Heartfelt, angsty and the ability to leave you with hope!
The connection between Anders and Brody is there from the start. It was undeniable. I loved how Anders didn't just suddenly overcome his issues and fall in love, because lets face it that wouldn't be realistic. Brody wanted nothing more than to help even when he didn't know the whole scope of Anders issues. He was such and admirable character offering whatever he could and trying anything to give Anders what he needed.
Having my own demons I connected with Anders pretty quickly and was left hoping that one day I'll manage to find my own Brody.
This is definitely a great book and I highly recommend it. Even if the subject matter seems too close to home, you may be surprised at how it leaves you feeling.
