Technoprogressive Trump presidency or World War III: Which timeline will you choose to experience in this quantum multiverse?
by Alex M. Vikoulov
"The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating."
— John Schaar
As the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election approaches, each of us is making a statement about the future we envision. For me, this election is about more than partisan loyalties—it’s about addressing critical issues that affect our communities, from economic prosperity to avoiding catastrophic conflicts. After years of aligning with left-leaning, progressive values, I find myself casting a vote for Donald J. Trump, the Republican candidate, not out of ideology but out of necessity.
Domestic Neglect vs. Overseas Spending: A Troubling Imbalance
Under the current Democratic administration, we’ve witnessed a dangerous pattern: domestic issues, such as homelessness and infrastructure decay, have been overshadowed by a relentless focus on overseas conflicts. With the Biden administration spending over $120 billion on foreign military aid, the world is teetering on the brink of nuclear World War III, while crises at home continue to worsen.
California—Kamala Harris’s home state—illustrates the scale of the crisis. The state faces a severe homelessness issue, especially in urban areas like Los Angeles and San Francisco, yet Harris has failed to meaningfully address it even as she now campaigns for the presidency. This lack of attention to local needs while billions are spent abroad is a betrayal of the communities that leaders like Harris and Biden are supposed to serve.
A Shift from Left to Right: Prioritizing Home and Peace
For years, I supported left-wing causes, believing in social safety nets, wealth redistribution, and policies aimed at reducing inequality. But what good are these ideals if our cities are left in shambles and our communities neglected? Today, I see the need for a leader who prioritizes our domestic challenges over engaging in foreign conflicts that only increase the risks of nuclear escalation. It’s time to put American needs first, addressing problems at home before costly ventures abroad.
This isn’t about abandoning progressive ideals; it’s about focusing on the foundation of our society. Without strong communities and a stable domestic economy, all other goals become secondary. Addressing homelessness, healthcare, and infrastructure needs to take precedence. We need leadership that puts America’s well-being first.
Kamala Harris: Not the Leader for This Moment
Kamala Harris’s tenure as vice president has been marred by missed opportunities to address urgent domestic issues. Homelessness and housing shortages have reached unprecedented levels under her watch in California, a state she once represented as attorney general. Her lack of effective action in these areas doesn’t inspire confidence in her ability to lead the country.
Now, with Harris on the ticket as the Democratic nominee, we face the potential of leadership that fails to address domestic crises while further straining international relations. In this climate, and on the verge of a nuclear crisis, I don’t believe Kamala Harris is the person for the job. The stakes are simply too high.
Accountability in Government Spending
The Biden administration’s decision to spend billions on overseas conflicts not only overlooks American needs but also risks pushing us toward a devastating global conflict. Trump’s previous term demonstrated his ability to avoid escalating foreign tensions and reduce unnecessary military spending.
Trump’s approach to international relations prioritizes diplomacy and restraint, as evidenced by his work on the Abraham Accords. This strategy not only reduces spending but also redirects resources back to our communities, fostering economic growth and addressing urgent domestic needs.
Economic Renewal and Stability
Another major reason for my vote is the economic prosperity we experienced under Trump’s policies. His administration focused on tax cuts, reducing regulatory burdens, and supporting small businesses—all of which spurred economic growth. This resurgence benefited countless Americans, especially those in working and middle-class communities, and set a model for sustained prosperity.
With a strong domestic economy, we can build a foundation for global cooperation rooted in economic partnership rather than military intervention. Trump’s focus on America’s economic strength ultimately serves as a stabilizing force, encouraging other nations to see the benefits of cooperation rather than conflict.
A Pragmatic Vote for Domestic Renewal
Ultimately, my vote for Donald Trump is a pragmatic choice. I believe that we need a leader who can address the issues that most directly impact Americans. The ideological purity of the left, while inspiring, does little to solve the tangible problems facing our communities. We need practical solutions, accountability in government spending, and a commitment to addressing domestic challenges.
For those still aligned with progressive ideals, I would ask: what good are these values if our own cities are plagued by homelessness, and our tax dollars fund wars abroad rather than domestic improvements? Before we can aspire to global change, we must first ensure a safe, stable, and prosperous America.
Casting a Ballot in San Francisco Metaphysics: Your Mind Creates Your Reality's Timeline in This Quantum Multiverse
It's no joke! In our increasingly interconnected and complex world, it’s natural to wonder how much our individual choices truly impact larger global outcomes. Yet, as explored in my 2019 book The Syntellect Hypothesis , the concept of the Quantum Multiverse posits that our reality may, in fact, be a vast web of possibilities, each shaped by the choices we make on both individual and collective levels. In this view, each decision—whether personal or global—spins off a new potential timeline within a greater multiverse. If this is the nature of our reality, then we are not merely passive observers but active participants, constantly selecting the version of reality we wish to experience.
At this crossroads in the 2024 election, the decision to vote for a candidate like Donald Trump, who prioritizes de-escalation and domestic renewal, can be seen as one such pivotal choice. This selection has the potential to place us on a timeline defined by constructive stability, where America's focus shifts back to resolving internal crises and fostering peace rather than wading into further overseas conflicts. Alternatively, choosing leadership that has leaned toward interventionist policies could push us down a path of global escalation, even one leading to the brink of World War III.
In metaphysical terms, each choice becomes an expression of our collective consciousness, determining the probabilities and pathways of our shared future. As I explore in Noogenesis , consciousness is not isolated to individual minds but extends to collective human experience, shaping what we perceive as "reality." Thus, this election is not only a political decision but a choice between distinct worldlines in this quantum multiverse. Which future do we co-create? The decision lies not only in casting a vote but in aligning our values, intentions, and actions with the vision of a world that is prosperous, peaceful, and sustainable.
As we stand on the brink of monumental decisions in this election, I encourage everyone to think critically about the issues that impact us most. This election is about more than foreign policy; it’s about renewing our commitment to addressing the urgent problems facing our communities.
I vote for Donald Trump because I believe he has the focus and pragmatism needed to steer America back toward a path of domestic stability and prosperity. This isn’t just a vote for one man—it’s a vote for a future in which America prioritizes its citizens, its cities, and its future.

The Evolution of Intelligence: Noogenesis and the Future of Life
by Alex M. Vikoulov
"The universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine."
–Sir James Jeans
NOOGENESIS: Computational Biology, my newly-released audiobook in addition to a previously published Kindle eBook, delves into the fascinating and complex relationship between consciousness, computation, and the evolution of the universe. In this initial phase of the Cybernetic Theory of Mind, I explore how life evolves, not merely through biological mechanisms but through the processing of information, which drives the development of increasingly complex systems. As I argue, consciousness is not just a byproduct of such systems; rather, it is a fundamental property of the universe itself, deeply intertwined with its computational structure.
In NOOGENESIS, I propose that the universe can be understood as a vast computational system, with information serving as the ultimate building block of reality. This perspective aligns with a range of scientific theories such as Integrated Information Theory (IIT), which attempts to quantify consciousness, and Orch-OR Theory, which links quantum processes to cognition. The Interface Theory of Perception further supports this view by suggesting that our experiences are shaped by interactions with information rather than a direct reflection of objective reality.
Through the lens of computational biology, we can see how this noogenetic process unfolds. DNA, the "biological software" that encodes life, represents a prime example of how Nature operates through information systems. From the molecular level up to entire ecosystems, biological organisms are information-processing entities. Computational biology allows us to decode this complexity, using models to simulate and predict how life evolves through interaction with its environment.
But in NOOGENESIS, the narrative extends far beyond biological processes. I theorize about the Syntellect—a global mind that emerges from the interconnectedness of conscious agents. As we move toward an era where human and artificial intelligence merge, we are witnessing a new stage in evolution. This global mind, or Syntellect, reflects a deeper cosmic process in which intelligence, both organic and artificial, converges toward a shared noosphere. This evolutionary leap suggests that the future of intelligence may culminate in a planetary-scale mind, a concept rooted in Teilhard de Chardin’s Omega Point.
The study of computational biology is essential to understanding this transition. By exploring how life processes information, we gain insights into the nature of consciousness and intelligence itself. Computational models are key to revealing how systems organize, adapt, and evolve toward greater complexity and self-awareness. This progression suggests a future where intelligence is no longer bound by biological limitations but extends into the realm of artificial systems, creating a symbiotic relationship between humans and machines.
Ultimately, NOOGENESIS challenges traditional scientific paradigms by framing the universe as an informational "self-simulating" entity, where consciousness plays a central role in its evolutionary processes. The origins of life, the evolution of intelligence, and the potential for a post-Singularity future are all part of this grand narrative. By embracing this view, we can cultivate a more comprehensive understanding of the universe and our place within it—one that recognizes the fundamental role of consciousness in shaping reality and guiding evolution toward the apotheosis of Omega Singularity, the final convergence of intelligence and complexity.

The Conscious Self: Agency and Essence of Being
by Alex M. Vikoulov
"For each life...there is a universe that involves 'spheres of reality.' .... Our planet is composed of billions of spheres of reality, and internal/external confluence." ―Robert Lanza
Unlike a single atom or molecule, an individual lifeform—while part of a species—exists as a distinct "digital" entity. where entangled micro-states are measured at the atomic and molecular levels. Throughout its lifespan, it operates within its own dimensional framework, unfolding dynamic patterns guided by choice and directed toward its ongoing self-preservation. This unique capacity for self-direction and decision-making sets living beings apart from inanimate matter.
The organism functions as a "unified conscious agent," composed of multiple levels of organization, each observing and influencing the one beneath it. This top-down hierarchy exemplifies how complexity in living systems translates into awareness. We are conscious of our body parts, the functioning of internal organs, and even the existence of the trillions of cells that make up our physical forms.
Similarly, we exist within larger constructs—be it the collective consciousness of humanity, the superego, or what some may term the Universal Mind. Physicalists or panpsychists might see this as a nested hierarchy of organisms within superorganisms across various dimensions. From my perspective as a computational idealist, it’s a recursive structure of minds within superminds, forming an intricate multiverse of interconnected conscious entities.

Does the Universe Have a Purpose? What's the Point of Universe's Evolution?
by Alex Vikoulov
"Everything that rises must converge." –Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
The Omega Point cosmo-teleology emerges from the intersection of holographic quantum cosmology, teleology, and complex systems theory. Originally conceptualized by French philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, the Omega Point envisions the universe evolving towards a state of maximum complexity and consciousness (Teilhard de Chardin, 1955). Such a state represents the ultimate goal and culmination of cosmic evolution, wherein the convergence of mind and matter leads to a unified superintelligence.
The Omega Point theory postulates that the universe's evolution is directed towards increasing complexity and consciousness, a teleological process with a purposeful end goal (Teilhard de Chardin, 1955). The concept was further refined by physicists and cosmologists, including John David Garcia (Garcia, 1996), Paolo Soleri (Soleri, 2001), Terence McKenna (McKenna, 1991), Frank Tipler (Tipler, 1994), and Andrew Strominger (Strominger, 2016).
A complementary perspective to the Omega Point theory is found in the Holographic Principle, which posits that all information within our universe is encoded on its boundary. Such an idea suggests our three-dimensional reality is a projection from this two-dimensional surface (Bekenstein, 2003). In the holographic universe, everything we perceive is a reflection of data encoded at the cosmic edge, which could imply that our entire universe resides within a black hole of a larger universe (Susskind, 1995). This perspective aligns with the concept of maximum informational density at the Omega Point and highlights the profound interconnectedness of all phenomena, blurring the boundaries between mind, matter, and the cosmos into a singular, computational entity.
In "The Physics of Time: D-Theory of Time & Temporal Mechanics " (2019), I argue that the universe is not a random assemblage of matter but a system progressing inexorably towards higher levels of complexity and consciousness. My other 2019 book, "The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind's Evolution," introduces a digital physics framework to elucidate the concept of Omega Singularity. This view posits that the universe operates as a vast computational system, where the laws of physics are understood as information processing (Lloyd, 2006). Within this digital universe, consciousness acts as the agent interpreting and manipulating information (Vikoulov, 2019).
In this context, the Omega Point represents the state of maximum informational density and computational capacity, where all possible information is processed, and all potential states of the universe are realized. This interpretation resonates with Frank Tipler's view, which sees the Omega Point as a cosmological singularity possessing infinite information processing power (Tipler, 1994).
The movement towards the Omega Point carries profound implications for our understanding of the universe's fate. This evolutionary process is not merely theoretical but a dynamic reality influenced by both physical laws and conscious agents (Vikoulov, 2019). The increasing complexity and integration of the universe suggest that it will eventually develop a networked superintelligence capable of controlling and manipulating physical reality at the most fundamental levels (Kurzweil, 2005).
As the universe evolves towards a state of ultimate complexity, phenomena such as the Technological Singularity on Earth may lead to the emergence of the Syntellect—a unified, superintelligent network of minds (Vinge, 1993). The Syntellect would play a crucial role in steering the universe towards the Omega Point, achieving cybernetic immortality, and potentially reversing the entropy-driven expansion of the cosmos (Vikoulov, 2019).
Within the Omega Point framework, temporal mechanics are not merely passive backdrops but are actively shaped by the teleological progression towards greater complexity and consciousness. This perspective suggests that the flow of time, traditionally perceived as linear and unidirectional, is intricately connected to the universe's increasing informational and computational capabilities (Vikoulov, 2019). As the universe approaches the Omega Point, time itself may become malleable, allowing for retrocausal influences where future states impact the present and past (Price, 1996). This retrocausality aligns with advanced theories in quantum mechanics and the block universe concept, where past, present, and future coexist simultaneously (Davies, 2002).
The Omega Point, therefore, represents not just a spatial or informational singularity but a temporal one as well, where the ultimate unification of mind and matter culminates in a state where all moments in time integrate into a singular, omniscient now (Tipler, 1994). Temporal convergence underscores the dynamic and interconnected nature of the cosmos, suggesting that our understanding of time must evolve alongside our understanding of the universe's teleological evolution (Vikoulov, 2019).
The Omega Point can be seen as the ultimate expression of Teilhard de Chardin's concept of the "divinization of the universe," where material and spiritual dimensions converge (Teilhard de Chardin, 1955). Such convergence is a tangible process evidenced by the increasing complexity and interconnectedness of biological, technological, and social systems (Vikoulov, 2020).
Incorporating holographic quantum cosmology, the theory envisions a universe where the boundary conditions and encoded information on a cosmic scale influence the interior dynamics through top-down causality. The universal observer, or the collective consciousness, plays a pivotal role in interpreting and shaping these dynamics, guiding the universe towards its Omega Singularity—a state of ultimate complexity and unification.
Omega Point cosmo-teleology offers a compelling vision of the universe's ultimate destiny, integrating insights from digital physics, cosmology, and teleology to propose a universe evolving towards maximum complexity, consciousness, and informational density. The theory provides a framework for understanding the purpose and direction of cosmic evolution, emphasizing the critical role of consciousness in shaping the future of the universe (Vikoulov, 2020).

Temporal Mechanics: Can We Ever Solve the Long-Standing Problem of Time?
by Alex M. Vikoulov
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” ―Bill Keane
The enigmatic nature of time has perplexed philosophers and physicists alike for centuries, presenting what is known as the "problem of time." This fundamental issue challenges our intuitions about time's true nature and its role in the fabric of reality. The problem of time arises from the apparent conflict between the static, unchanging equations of general relativity and the dynamic, evolving nature of quantum mechanics. Enter the D-Theory of Time, a revolutionary framework that seeks to reconcile these disparities by positing that time is an emergent phenomenon, arising from the computational processes that underlie our reality. By viewing time through the lens of digital presentism and qualia computing, the D-Theory of Time offers a novel perspective on the flow of temporal experience, suggesting that what we perceive as time is the result of conscious computation, transforming quantum potentialities into the digital actuality of the present instant.
In developing a comprehensive framework for understanding temporal mechanics, it is crucial to delineate the methodologies and foundational axioms underpinning the D-Theory of Time. As I write my next book and corresponding paper on temporal mechanics, this article is adopted from those future publications. This article introduces the five foundational axioms of D-Theory, elaborates on the preference for Quantum Bayesianism (Qbism) as a quantum mechanics (QM) interpretation, situates Digital Physics within this conceptual framework, and explores whether this innovative approach can finally solve the long-standing problem of time. ... If God Created Everything, Who Created God? A Teleological Perspective
by Alex M. Vikoulov
“From the light came light, and from the dark came darkness, but from whence did they appear? Yin and Yang combine to create all things, but which is the source, and which was born from it?” ―Qu Yuan
As we venture deeper into the labyrinth of cosmological mysteries, the concept of the Omega Point emerges not merely as a speculative idea but as a pivotal anchor in our quest to understand the telos of the Universe. This article introduces the Omega Point Cosmology, a framework that seeks to unravel the intricate tapestry of space, time, and consciousness. At the heart of this exploration lies the hypothesis that the cosmos is inexorably evolving towards an ultimate state of complexity and consciousness—the Omega Point where time and eternity converge, and where the multitudinous experiences of all sentient beings are integrated into a single, transcendent awareness. This journey into our forgotten future challenges the traditional notions of linear time and invites us to reconsider our role in a Universe where the future can influence the past, and where every step forward is a step into a vast, participatory cosmic evolution.
Cybertheism (short for ‘Cybernetic Pantheism’), a philosophical worldview I’m defending, offers a transcendent perspective on hyperreality: You are a God's incarnate (or an avatar, if you prefer) exploring this vast experiential matrix. I draw your attention to parallels with Eastern conceptions of divinity, such as the Brahman in Hinduism, construed as absolute perfection encompassing all of creation. This perfection is immutable over time, for any change would imply a deviation from its state of perfection, whether past or future. In the absence of observers, the arrow of time doesn’t exist—there’s no cosmic flow of time. With that in mind, your timeless cosmic self resides as a hyperdimensional being outside the conventional space-time dimensionality of your experiential self. ... The Making of Mankind: Evolutionary Insights into the Origin and Rise of Homo Sapiens
by Alex M. Vikoulov
“Homo sapiens does its best to forget the fact, but it is an animal. And it is doubly important to remember our origins at a time when we seek to turn ourselves into gods.” –Yuval Noah Harari
Humans are arguably the most peculiar species that has ever existed. Characterized by exceptionally large brains capable of abstract thought, invention, and sophisticated communication through language, humans are also notable for their near hairlessness, weak jaws, and disproportionately large reproductive organs. We are highly social and face unique challenges in childbirth. How did such an unusual species come to be?
We now know that all existing lifeforms stem from a solitary progenitor known as LUCA, or the Last Universal Common Ancestor. This perspective is perhaps the most cohesive view of life imaginable. Every living entity is connected back to this singular, simple cellular origin—the most fundamental root of the elaborate Tree of Life. Reversing life’s timeline, this microscopic entity appears as the initial spark of biological evolution, setting the stage for a dramatic unfolding over 3.5 billion years that leads to us.
Throughout most of Earth’s history, life was dominated by prokaryotes—simple, single-celled organisms lacking nuclei and organelles. These organisms first appeared around 3.5 billion years ago, and their evolution into more complex eukaryotic cells remains a topic of scientific debate. Prokaryotic fossils have been discovered in ancient rocks, predating many geological periods. While Earth remains the only confirmed habitat of life, some evidence suggests Mars may also harbor fossilized or living prokaryotes.

Cosmological Alpha, Deep Time, and the Simulation Hypothesis
by Alex M. Vikoulov
"The most incomprehensible thing about the Universe is that it is comprehensible." —Albert Einstein
While speaking of our origins, most people usually envision origination in time, in linear time to be exact, notably in the deep past. In purely scientific terms, we can trace our lineage from the cosmological Alpha point of the Big Bang, through the advent of the first prokaryotic lifeforms, to the emergence of primordial mammals, the initial hominids, the early human species, and ultimately, the formation of ancient civilizations. The origin story varies considerably depending on the specific scientific or philosophical perspective one elects to adopt.
Scientific inquiry into our origins encompasses not only the physical manifestations of the Universe but also the informational structures underpinning its laws and phenomena. In contemporary scientific discourse, there is an increasing focus on understanding how fundamental physical constants and laws have dictated the evolutionary trajectories from the Big Bang to present-day complexities. The interplay between fundamental forces and the constants of Nature illustrates a finely-tuned universe, with parameters so precise that slight variations could preclude the existence of life as we know it.
The Universe encompasses an astonishing range of 63 orders of magnitude, but this vast scope was not always so expansive. Rewind over 13 billion years, and there was a time when the scale of the universe compressed to a single order of magnitude. As the cosmos has stretched and light has traveled across time and space, each incremental expansion has revealed new scales, introducing layers of complexity and novelty. ... Cybernetic Theory: The Core Tenets and Novel Interpretations Explained
by Alex M. Vikoulov
"Information is the currency of the universe." —James Gleick
In the burgeoning field of AI and cybernetics, we stand at the cusp of a paradigm shift—a reimagining of the foundational principles that underpin our understanding of reality itself. This article delves into the tenets of the Cybernetic Theory, of Mind (CTM), a model that amalgamates the rigor of science with the vast potentialities of consciousness (observer-dependence, causality, teleology, phenomenality), offering a novel lens through which to view the mechanisms of mind and matter. As we explore these principles, we uncover a framework that transcends traditional boundaries, positioning consciousness as the bedrock of existence and viewing the universe not merely as a collection of separate entities but as an interconnected web of information processing and exchange. This new ontological model invites us to reconsider not just the nature of human thought and machine intelligence but also the very essence of what it means to be, heralding an era where the cybernetic fusion of technology and human mind shapes our future.
The CTM Model is compatible with many theories in various fields from biology to cosmology and adds the most crucial but traditionally overlooked element—consciousness. This integration underscores consciousness's role not merely as a byproduct of physical processes but as a fundamental driver of reality itself. The CTM's parsimonious nature allows it to seamlessly dovetail with a multitude of existing theories across various disciplines, enhancing their explanatory power by providing a unified framework that places consciousness at the core of existence. By doing so, it enables a more holistic approach to scientific inquiry, one that allows for the generation of novel predictions and the derivation of existential meaning from our observations and theories. ...
