The genuine heart of sadness – bodhicitta

People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. Carl Jung Bodhicitta is literally a heart – our wounded, tender, some way melancholic heart. A heart that has desire and determination to overcome all the limitations of life (or our Ego) to become whole. A heart full of unconditioned love and sadness. It has...

A good book is more than just a well-written story

The book Dulcinea and The Death Code is ready to see the world. It is not perfect, but it is fun… believe me! The target audience is teens from 12 to 20-years-old and old young adults (maybe you?). I don’t know if this book is good enough for so called “YA” fiction, because I don’t read #youngadult myself. Ouch!

“The Story Grid”, Shawn Coyne #takeawaykeys

What your characters say they are is NOT who they are… What they do is the key. Shawn Coyne 1. Think in 5 principles, the bricks for any successful story:  TIME, SUBSTANCE, STYLE, STRUCTURE, CONTENT. 2. Learn your genre – there’s a great collection (with examples) of differences between each genre. I can’t mention them all (only some), but read further or go, grab the book! 3. Your hero. If your story doesn’t change your lead...

The value of humanity: does a single life matter?

Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another. Carl Sagan We worry about the number of reacts on Facebook. The number of followers on Instagram. Buying a house, getting a car, finding love, passing exams – we worry about something ALL THE TIME. Have you ever thought to yourself, “does any of this really matter in...

Book Review “The Big Tiny”, Dee Williams

There are things inside us too tiny to see. Not even a microscope can capture them. This got me thinking – if there are things inside us too tiny to see, might there be things outside us too big to believe? Rene Denfeld Imagine the room as tiny as the corner of your house. How does it feels? I see you are saying “I’d love that”… In case if you does – go spend a night or...

Mistakes you make …

Allow yourself to make mistakes. There will always be times in your life when you fail, but you can make that failure into a success by choosing to learn from it. Tomorrow is another day. Try again. Avina Celeste Here’s the lesson to learn – #takeawaykeys  (Masterclass: Atwood + Gaiman united) 1. Know your hero. Make a sheet for each character (his or her life month by month).  2. Research after outline or plotting, because the research...
