Just Be was chosen as the winner in the category of Self Help – Personal Development. Furthermore, it was also honored as Finalist in the category Spiritual Awakening of Humanity.

The jury commented: “Your book truly embodies the excellence and high value of spiritual message to the world that our award was created to celebrate; we congratulate you for this wonderful work! Needless to say, I am thrilled with this recognition and thank the jury at Soul-Bridge Awards.

Award description by its founders
The Soul-Bridge Book Awards is the first International Body-Mind-Spirit Book Award of Europe. The impetus to create this award was founded on the strong belief that given the current global state, the most important thing we can do now is to work towards forwarding the holistic viewpoint and spiritual awakening of humanity. Sharing the voices of true wisdom offers tangible guidance for the survival of our planet and the creation of our future. We believe that Lightworkers need to unite and that the voices of serious thinkers and responsible matured and enlightened souls must be heard in a wider circle. Receiving a Soul-Bridge Award as an author is a tremendous honor that reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment that went into creating a book.

More accolades showered at the 3rd Annual Body, Mind, Spirit Book Awards

This is an update to the March blog entry. On March 15, Just Be was recognized as the winner of the Body, Mind, Spirit Book Award in California in the category of Self-Help. Additionally, Just Be was the Finalist in the New Age category. March has been quite a month! Much gratitude to The Body, Mind, Spirit Book Awards Team for this recognition! I am thankful to my writing team (cover, editing, illustrations, layout) for their incredible contributions in making Just Be what it is and share these awards with them.

Readers’s Favorite Review Press Release

Suresh Ramaswamy’s new book receives a warm literary welcome

Readers’ Favorite announces the review of the Non-Fiction – Self Help book “Just Be” by Suresh Ramaswamy, currently available at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/099627300X.

Readers’ Favorite is one of the largest book review and award contest sites on the Internet. They have earned the respect of renowned publishers like Random House, Simon & Schuster, and Harper Collins, and have received the “Best Websites for Authors” and “Honoring Excellence” awards from the Association of Independent Authors. They are also fully accredited by the BBB (A rating), which is a rarity among Book Review and Book Award Contest companies.

Reviewed By Ruffina Oserio for Readers’ Favorite

While thousands of voices out there tell us we must do something to gain enlightenment and connect to our spiritual heritage, Just Be: Transform Your Life and Live as Infinity by Suresh Ramaswamy teaches a revolutionary concept: being. In this classic book, the author offers a journey in three phases, a path to discover and connect with the light of our uniqueness and Infinity. It is the journey through three phases to fully living as Infinity, one that culminates in “a continual beingness as essence.” At the end of this journey, “Opportunities now open up to play and contribute in relative realities of this existence… To fully embody Infinity is to engage with all levels of reality — from subtle to manifest — and enliven the highest inherent throughout creation.”

Just Be: Transform Your Life and Live as Infinity is one of the best books I have read on the subject of consciousness and spiritual awakening. Suresh Ramaswamy helps readers rediscover the hidden light they carry within and the secret to transforming every area of their life by mastering the innate laws of being. The book is filled with insight and practices that will help readers connect deeply with themselves, understand the core principle of beingness, and use it to transform their lives from within. The writing is filled with symbolic language, but it is very accessible. The ideas are so logically developed and the progression is well structured to help readers follow the inner journey to light with relative ease. If you were to read one spiritual book this year, let this be it! A rare gem filled with wonderful truths and insight.”

Slow down, you move too fast

Slow down. Even if just for a breath. What are you speeding towards?

Remember the Simon and Garfunkel song?

Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last

Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you, all is groovy

When you truly slow down, you find perfection—the “all is groovy” feeling.

When you rush, your unconscious tendencies slip in and you may do things that later won’t feel good. You may be brusque and hurt someone you did not wish to. You may tell your body to speed up, even if speeding is going to harm it. You may do this under the pretext of I have to get a lot of things done today.

There is a compelling force underneath this rushed feeling. A belief that if I can get more done, things will be better. I would have accomplished more. I will, therefore, feel more fulfilled later.

There is a flaw in this train of thought. Because even if you manage to check off a lot of items on your list, you are still often left stressed and unfulfilled. Worse, you may feel frustrated, anxious, and depressed. Introspect about this. In the long run, do you feel you would like to live in a state of speeding or in a state of feeling settled and complete? What if you could feel good now instead of at some point in the future?

When you settle into the moment, the feeling of rushing goes away. You can actually get more meaningful stuff done too. But without that feeling that you are going through some to-do list.

Here is a simple way to slow down through the breath and body sensations. You’ll also find several powerful practices in my new bestselling book Just Be. Find a quiet spot and sit comfortably. Start by noticing your breath. Don’t try to make any changes to your breath, let the breath slow down on its own. As you stay with your breath, witness your breath continuously for three consecutive breaths with clarity. Restart if you are unable to maintain awareness for three successive breaths. Aah! Such a perceptible shift.

Now pay attention to sensations anywhere in your body, noting at least three specific ones. Perhaps pressure, or coolness, or tingles somewhere in the body or on its surface. Just notice.

Finally, consciously release any trapped energy as you exhale loudly through your mouth.

Smile. I’ll bet you are feeling groovy!

Let your inner light shine more brightly.

Shift Network Interview

I was recently interviewed on The Shift Network by Phil Bolsta for their e-zine The Catalyst. The Catalyst features inspiring stories and provides information to help shift consciousness and take practical action.

This is a short interview (about 15 minutes) but is packed with important concepts. The question that was posed to me was “What is the difference between spirituality and your infinite essence?”

The interview is also transcribed on the link below, if you prefer to read it.

Thank you, Phil, for this fabulous interview!

Psst, listen up

Since the release of Just Be, I am often asked if there is an audio version of my book. Having enjoyed audiobooks myself, I understand the interest. When we listen to a book, we take in the contents in a different way. We are able to absorb and enjoy the words more deeply. We can relax our visual apparatus and be more open. And of course, it is nice to be able to hear a book being read to us as we do dishes or drive.

Good news. There is an audio version of Just Be. It is not a recorded reading but instead uses the speech-enabled capability of the book. Don’t believe me? Click below to hear a paragraph from Just Be being read.

It is surprisingly good. The above recording is what I hear if I ask my iPhone to read the Kindle version of Just Be.

iPhone Instructions

Here is the step-by-step guide on how to do that on the iPhone.

Get the Kindle version of Just Be from Amazon.com.
Get the Free Kindle iOS app from the Apple Store.
On your iPhone, go to General->Accessibility->Speech. Turn on Speech Selection and Speak Screen. (I am using iOS 12.1.2)

Open the Kindle app to access your purchased Kindle books.
Click on the title Just Be to open it in the app.
Navigate to the page you would like to start with.
Swipe down two fingers from the top of the screen.
Make sure your volume is turned up. You will hear the selected page being read to you.

Tips:

If you don’t zoom into a page, the audio reader will automatically flip pages for you as it reads. This is what the screen should look like when you swipe down with two fingers.

You can change the speed of the reading per your liking with the onscreen controls.
You can choose male/female and accent in Settings.
You can skip forward to the next page or go to the previous page with the onscreen controls.

Kindle Instructions

You can listen to Kindle content on the Fire tablet with Text-to-Speech. Here is how to do so on 4th Generation and newer Fire tablets.

While reading, tap the center of the screen, and then tap the menu icon in the upper right corner.
Tap Additional Settings, and then tap the switch next to Text-to-Speech to turn it on.
In your Kindle book, tap the screen to show the progress bar, and then tap the Play button next to the progress bar to hear the text read aloud.
To increase or decrease the reading speed of the Text-to-Speech voice, tap the Narration Speed icon.
You can listen to the Text-to-Speech voice through the external speakers on your device or through your earphones plugged into the headphone jack. (Reference: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201829850)

Enjoy the audio narration of Just Be!
