Новый год, новый год!
А у меня еще подарочки! Совершенно внезапно и неожиданно мне пришло письмо от Елены Калгановой, это такая офигенная девушка, которая устраивает очень клевые писательски-читательские марафоны, совместные чтения, она очень творчески подходит к делу и умеет наладить и задать здоровую атмосферу. Я участвовал в первом марафоне как читатель (вписался я туда, потому что мои знакомые писательницы туда пошли и я пошел поддержать, но помимо поддержки, таки, взял две незнакомые книжки. Одна из них была этно-ужасы, а мимо этого жанра я никогда не могу пройти. А про вторую мне пообещали, что там Дуги будет, мол, такая книга морская, а Дуги-то и не было. Ну, в смысле, там действия происходят в городе у моря, но море там не был персонажем, так что просто заманили на красивого мужика, которого не дали. Да, книги, где Черное море - персонаж, я тоже все читаю теперь. Ну, потому что это ж про любимого читать). Вооот. Так как это не первый мой книжный движ, я знаю, о чем говорю, и марафоны Елены Калгановой не стыдно рекомендовать.
Как писатель я пока гожу туда ходить, но это потому, что теперь постройку своего писательского имени в РФ не вижу, я помню важные слова Игоря Кочеткова: "помните, что ваша литература очень важна и нужна. Особенно сейчас." Именно поэтому я русскоязычное и российское читательское сообщество не "бросаю", но движи и нахождение прямо-таки групп читателей сейчас вне фокуса внимания. Потому что я - писатель. Это осознанный выбор, и это единственная деятельность, которая меня интересует и не раздражает.
И как писатель, я пишу и буду писать про то, про что нельзя говорить. Почти всегда есть терроризирующие население законы, всегда есть законы против свободы слова. Но ответственность писателя (если он писатель, а не компися и не писака, кстати, комписи так называют читателей - читаки. Ну собсно, да, эти писаки, у них читаки, кто еще такое будет читать, не читатели же) освещать все темы, вскрывать любые нарывы. Иначе общество не шагнет в сторону мира, в котором хочется жить. И хоть у меня так-то есть и незапрещенка, я не смогу открыто поговорить с новой группой читателей, потому что о многом говорить запрещено. И они будут бояться. И я не хочу их подставлять. Поэтому я могу говорить только у себя, а уж кто уже достаточно хочет жить, чтобы не бояться - придет сам.
Кстати, очень-очень скоро, а может даже уже и сейчас, у Елены идет новый марафон. Он тоже интересный! И там тоже будут крутые совместные чтения книг. Марафоны проходят на площадке ВК.
Ну и вот! Совершенно внезапно мне пришло от нее письмо! А там открытки по книгам с новогодними поздравлениями авторов (хехе, не личными и это видно. Ну, писатели часто не умеют в социализацию). 2 по книгам, которые я читал на марафоне ("Умрут не все", как раз тот этно-ужастик, мой отзыв тут https://albireo-mkg.com/2023/09/12/etnoh, вторая по Ее звали Таня, приятно, что открытка тоже морская), 2, которые я читал раньше (на "И горше боли будет радость" у меня и отзыв есть:https://clck.ru/37tXLS, и вообще Яну Иконникову я знаю и рекомендую)
И одна открытка с нечитанной книгой, но я очень и очень ценю авторские открытки, поэтому огромное спасибо Лилит Рэй. Ну и поздравление от самой Елены.

In one group people asked, what inspired titles of your books?
As for me, there are always two titles - the first one emerges while I'm writing, representing the main idea or an important phrase from the book. However, as I approach the end, the book reveals its true name to me. In my literary life, it's characters narrate their own story, and the book itself selects its title. I am just a scriber, capturing all of this in a literary style, illuminating every corner of the tale.
Mother Bulgaria
We are embarking on a new project inspired by an international concert.
The event showcased various groups, many of which did not perform up to par. Nevertheless, the Bulgarians were exceptionally kind and supportive, reminiscent of a mother whose children have matured, moved out, and lived independently for years, yet still show some goofy. But she remains hopeful that they will improve; they just need a bit of encouragement.
I have often heard Bulgarians say that everything is more orderly and superior abroad. From my extensive travels, I can say that's not entirely true. Daily challenges are universal, but it's uncommon to find a country as warm-hearted towards their citizens as Bulgaria. For instance, Bulgaria does not have political prisoners, a situation quite rare compared to most other countries!
This is why we've decided to heed Mother Bulgaria's responses to various assertions and share them with you.
We're uncertain if we'll manage to create and print enough comics in time for the literary project beginning on March 21st. However, even if we don't meet the deadline, you will still be able to view them on our page.
Below are some preliminary sketches to give you a glimpse of the style and concept. We plan to refine the characters and infuse them with a range of emotions.

At last, we visited the Orbita book club. We tried for so long (we even read a few books from past meetings!) and finally, it happened.
Our persistence paid off; the meeting was fantastic!
We discussed Magda Szabó's book "The Door".
I'm not sure what to tell you about, whether it's the cool people we met there or the book itself.
Well, after all, people are personal, so let's talk about the book. But overall, we're glad we went. It was an incredibly pleasant meeting with intellectual people, just as you'd imagine a book club to be.
And all the new acquaintances were delightful, and it turns out Anna-Maria was there, whom we already know from various literary events at the library! And she recognized us too, saying - oh, I already know most of this group of birds of a feather flock together)))
Everyone was terribly nice. But Bulgarians, in general, are mostly nice and friendly. Yep, unlike our compatriots and those bros from the other side. But moreover, everyone was there... well, subtly intelligent, well-read, profound.
Strangely, it was one of the best meetings in recent times, and yet I've taken so long to write a post. Well, that happens to me sometimes.
It's because the approach to conducting internet narratives, I don't know what to call the chatter on the web pages now, all has changed. I miss the old approach; I liked it the most, but somehow I can't go back. And with the new one, you constantly need to tie together a bunch of things, emphasize a bunch of things, and that takes time.
Just writing like before, it's fun, but because of the information overload and the deluge of info, I just feel sorry for people because their attention is already so fragmented, and to just tug at them with trifles... on the other hand, they'll spend less time on the short stuff and absorb the information more easily than a long read. Alright, I'll think about it some more. There's also the trouble that my blog is now general, like, directly for long-reads-updates and for personal stuff, and the personal has become so thoughtfully cumbersome. Of course, one could just constantly tweet into Telegram, for example, and transfer the good stuff straight to the blog (fb isn't for it with their censorship it's not a platform for speaking out anymore)... and if Telegram dies, well, the important stuff, as I wanted, will remain in the blog.
In short, the Orbita book club is great, we'll definitely go to there again! And you, who are in Varna, come along, it's really cool))!
