Rae Cowie is a Scottish writer. Her work has been widely published both in print and online, including: Scottish Field Magazine, Splonk, Oxford Flash Prize, Postbox Magazine, Northwords Now and Aberdeen University Elphinstone Institute.

Her The Fight of the Wyld Cattis was included in the Great Scottish Canvas, published by WWF Scotland, issued to delegates attending the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in 2021.

Cowie’s debut short fiction collection, Haddo Reimagined, a collaboration with photographer Susan Orr, was inspired by the fascinating landscape of the ancient Haddo estate in Aberdeenshire.

In 2015, Cowie won the Romantic Novelists' Association Elizabeth Goudge Award. In 2022, she won the Scottish Book Trust Award.
