How goes the writing??

Hello, everyone. For those of you participating in Write Your A$$ Off day, how goes the writing?
Unfortunately, due to a crash editing deadline for HEXBOUND, I'm actually editing this weekend instead of writing. Potato, potato. It's still words in the file, and books out the door!

I'm very excited to announce that Penguin has contracted for THREE more Chicagoland Vampires books (Nos. 5, 6 and 7).
No word yet on release dates (other than CV4, HARD BITTEN, which has an expected publication date of July 2011.)

Happy Friday, everyone! This has been the longest week, no doubt slowed down by the weird weather we've had in our little corner of the Midwest (hot, hotter, less hot, blindingly hot, etc.). But we've made it through another week, and hopefully my very busy weekend will involve 3,000 words of Merity goodness.

In other news, the Boy and I will be heading to Kansas City in a couple of weeks for a quick trip. It's a photographic outing for him (various fountains, the Nelson-Atkins, etc.) and a w...

Merit Gets Loud

Happy Wednesday, in what appears to be the longest week ever. Having finished the first round of HEXBOUND edits, I'm now working on CV4 (previously titled HARD BITTEN, but now we're playing around with titles). To answer the various Facebook questions, as soon as I have any news about possible additional titles in the CV series, I will pass it along.

I can announce, however, that Penguin has inked a deal with Tantor Media to publish SOME GIRLS BITE, FRIDAY NIGHT BITES, TWICE BITTEN and CV4...

Stuff I'm currently enjoying...

1. Finishing the first round of HEXBOUND edits. Woot for Scout and Lils!
2. Plants v. Zombies. Simple. Addictive.

3. Dinner recipes from Cooking Light. Pear-Kiwi salad tonight (but I can't find the recipe online, unfortunately).
4. Fossil blog. The design blog of the Fossil watch folks is a great "Best Of" web/design experience.
5. Brunch. With lots of recent events and a significant other who enjoys sleeping late, brunch has become the meal of choice on the weekends.
