A Sailing Bio:
It’s all about the horizon, and I don’t mean that in a small way. For me, as a mid-western-born boy of ten, the affair began on a family trip to Mexico. My parents fell in love with Acapulco in the early 60’s. They fell so hard, they started one of the first dive shops there (Divers de Mexico) and I discovered salt water and the magic of the horizon. Those were glorious days that went on for years, and all that time the Pacific horizon was out there calling.
I finished my formal education at Boston University, graduated, and married the best sailing girl on the planet. My wife of 48 years (Lucy) was a Vassar-girl then, and the daughter of a nuclear submarine skipper to boot. Needless to say, we were married in Acapulco.
