Marie-Chantale Gariépy is a French-speaking writer and literary director from Quebec. After studying tourism at Lasalle College, Marie-Chantale Gariépy specialized in art history at Concordia University in Montreal and then in literary studies, literature and classical singing at UQAM. In 2007, she recieved the Joseph S. Stauffer Prize awarded to emerging Canadian artists who exhibit strong artistic potential in music, visual arts or literature. She has since written more than 11 books. Among them is the collection of short stories "25 cents and other stories", published in 2016 and translated into Serbian in 2018.
