Cutler Mound Group

Three mounds total are housed in Waukesha city park, Wisconsin. The mounds are degraded but still visible. The historical marker reads, "This and the two adjacent mounds were built for burials probably by the prehistoric Woodland Indians. They perhaps began entering Wisconsin about 2000 BC and lived here until modern times.

Savatra

An excavation in the heart of the ancient city of Savatra in central Turkey unveiled a remarkable altar that promises to illuminate the long-forgotten aspects of life in this ancient metropolis. An ancient Greek inscription on the altar has been translated, showing the altar was a donation to the theatre by an organization or dynasty named 'Aurelia,' which was situated in the region. More details in the comment below

D'Arcy Stones 2

Three large standing stones can be found on the way down to Clifden Castle, Co. Galway. John D´Arcy the founder of Clifden town erected them, while building his castle 200 years ago. He was a romantic chap, so wanted to have his own megalithic monuments in his park. The site and view is very beautiful and enchanting.

Carreg Moel y Llys

Alan has found this unusual site with what looks lie a capstone resting on smaller boulders with a drystone boundary wall running tight up to it - what do you make of it?. Situated to the south of the B4410 that links Maentwrog with Rhyd this stone feature lies close to an ancient boundary wall. Gwynedd Archaeological Trust (GAT) has identified a nearby prehistoric field system and small enclosure but this feature has not attracted any apparent archaeological interest specifically. However, it's an interesting looking feature that may or may not have served a previous historic purpose.
