Hello folks, it's been a long time since I posted. I have been quite sick for some time and only now am I getting back to Facebook. I am feeling much better, and getting back into the marketing of my novels, Epilogue for Murder, Angel, Falling and Shadowstalker. Look for a Smashwords giveaway in the near future. It's great to be back and I hope to hear from you. Many thanks.

Folks, this is a less than gentle request for you to download a free version of my new novel Shadowstalker from Smashwords. It's a good book, and I put in years of work on it. That's what this group is about - people helping each other out. I download books I pay for, and read them. This one is free. Why can't we help each other? Like I said, I am giving this away. Please partake of this chance!

I recently reviews this book and gave it five stars. Here is the review:

More than a romance, with strong elements of suspense and an extremely surprising ending are what sets this book apart from most traditional romances. Yes, there is love and hope, but there are bad guys as well, and fear of what might happen next heightens the suspense.

Author Susann Elle makes use – quite successfully, I might add – of using the present tense to great effect. And her employment of shifting points of view within a seamless narrative lets you know quite a bit about each of the main characters. And she writes the love scenes with great dignity and respect.

Zoe is a strong protagonist, a loving woman, a desiring woman, but a women who is tough in the face of adversity. Her situation in the narrative becomes difficult, but she is resilient.

I unabashedly give this book five stars, and intend to read another Elle’s novels soon.

Folks I am going to definitely read another of her books soon. I hope you'll take a look.

I believe that good fiction involves putting ordinary people in extraordinary situations. Do you?

Hello, folks, this is my first post on my new blog on Goodreads. Thought I would post my bio as it appears on my web page:

Larry Patrick Shriner was raised on the West Central coast of Florida. He made his home there for many years before moving to Durham, North Carolina, where he lives with his wife Elaine. Epilogue for Murder is his first novel. Angel, Falling, the second in the Bennett Cole private detective series, is also available in bookstores, as well as online sites such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. A third book, Shadowstalker, is now available as a paperback and ebook. (The other books are available as ebooks as well.) He is currently at work on a new book, Return from Nowhere, set in Hatteras Village on the North Carolina Outer Banks.

I welcome any posts as they relate to books, and crime novels in particular, but no subject is off limits.
Please visit my webpage at and my Facebook page at

Many thanks, and I hope to hear from you.
