Inside Scoop on BLINDSIDED!!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who’s emailed to say “Where the heck is the third FROZEN SKY novel?” I love it. No question this book is woefully behind schedule.

I finally updated my official bio on this site and here’s the short explanation:

“Early in 2015, Jeff was badly injured while muscling a 400 pound rock across his back yard, which is a boring and stupid way to get hurt. (For what it’s worth, the rock is infused with the fossilized remains of 12 million year old mollusks; it’s an extraordinar...

Killer new horror anthology

I’m excited to see theNot Your Average Monster anthology, which includes my darkest-of-all story “Monsters.” And I say that as the guy who wrote Plague Year and Interrupt. Aha ha ha. “Monsters” is a bleak, sick story only for the strongest of heart!!!!

Late As Usual But Having Fun!

Here is the seriously disturbing June 2015 cover of the sci fi magazine Nowa Fantaskya, a major publication in Poland, whose editor Marcin Zwierzchowski is an individual of taste and genius. I love working with this team!!!!! The 6/15 issue includes fiction by Le Guin and Paolo Bah-cha-gah-loop-ee. (That’s my phonetic spelling; he’s better known to most people as Paolo Bacigalupi of WIND-UP GIRL and SHIPBREAKER fame).

I was excited to see my short story “Pressure” included in the line-up. I s...

Plague War in Dutch!

As usual, I’m late (again) to my own party… but better late than never!

The good folks at Uitgeverij Macc released their blockbuster edition of Plague War last month. I have to say, their titles are my favorites from around the world. Tell this doesn’t sound extremely cool:

De Oorlog van de Plaag

Here is my hard-working editor Theo Barkel followed by a close-up of the new edition. My guess is that’s bad-ass Sarah Foshtomi on the cover with her ragtag gang of survivors. Love it!!!!

Late to my own party: Vonnie in her native German!

Fun news from Germany, where The Frozen Sky has been released as Eisiger Himmel, which is especially appropo given that our hyper-educated, resourceful young heroine is herself from the Fatherland.

If you’re in Europe, here are two places to find the ebook and print editions.

Welcome to the future!

Here’s a fun peek at the future.

My friend Adad Warda is one of the driving forces behind SKY CITY HAYA. You remember Adad as the talent who directed, filmed and produced my “mini movie” book trailer for the Plague Year trilogy…

…and keep in mind that Adad filmed and produced this trailer on a total budget consisting of $50 for music and sf/x, one tank of gas, three sandwiches, three Pepsis and a bottle of ketchup for blood. Seriously. That’s it. The tank of gas got us to the mountains. The...

I Live! But this guy’s gonna die…

Hard to believe it’s been so long since I posted. The good news is I’ve busily had my nose to the grind working on Frozen Sky 3. Getting close! In other good news, super genius Jasper Schreurs has also been a busy bee. Here is a sneak peek at his upcoming artwork for FS3. ;)

Japanese edition of THE FROZEN SKY

Recently I received author copies of Tokyo Sogensha’s edition of The Frozen Sky, which are insanely cool. Love the cover art. It looks so much like my childhood heroes fromStarblazersand Robotech, I can barely stand it. I absolutely LOVED the shows!

Here is their version of Vonnie…
