Hi Robin. I love The Love Story duet and both are on my top ten book list. I just stumbled across you books when I was at the library and made sure to borrow them. What made you come up with Sam and Lucy and how did you come u with their story?

In this case, I was sitting at a railroad crossing, mindlessly watching a train go by, listening to Demi Lovato's "Lionheart". By the end of the song, I had envisioned Sam and Lucy, their entire backstory, and the last scene of the first book. :) I was also inspired by the movie Southpaw as I began writing the story. I wanted Sam to be as real and raw as Jake Gyllenhaal's character Billy Hope. (If you haven't seen Southpaw, you should watch it! It's fantastic.)
