Self Talk

Be aware of the way you think and the way you talk about yourself. Every area of your life will be impacted by your thoughts and your speech. Commit yourself to improving yourself. Everything begins with a thought…

Reflection…

It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. We must slow down a little to reflect and remember how far we have come…

Remember Me?

In 2018, my first book was published. The book is called, “Killing My Father Then Finding Him.” The theme of the book is about how I came to forgive both of my parents for the abuse and neglect I felt all through my childhood. I hid my upbringing from my friends in school. I masked it well because recently I read a short piece one of my childhood friends wrote about me and why he was buying the book. He wrote, “what I remember about John was his passion for life and his genuine concern for others.”

If you are holding onto pain from your past, I encourage you to do the work on yourself to heal. I did, and I promise it isn’t easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Clear Thoughts…

We become what we think about. The information that occupies our mind will determine what is on our mind. We get to decide what we allow into our minds by what we watch, read, who we listen to and what we actually believe. Be aware of your environment. Always…

Don’t Fall For It…

The media and the politicians want to keep us divided because it feeds their message of fear. Don’t fall for it. We are more alike than we are different…

Success…

Success comes from our Creator putting us in a position to succeed. We have to do the work and see it through to completion, but God removes our roadblocks.

Work hard, and stay humble…
