False Advertising
Turn on your television and Madison Avenue tells us that “blondes have more fun,” and you can drink beer and not get fat. None of it is true. It’s what you are led to believe. What messages, either internally generated or from the outside world are you believing about yourself? The world will beat you down, but you’re already doing a pretty good job of it yourself. Do not believe the lies. Believe in yourself…

New Year. New Goals.
As 2022 approaches, we like to set “New Year’s Resolutions.” Instead of making multiple resolutions, make one. Only one. Commit to seeing it through. All of us can do one thing differently. After three months, set another resolution because by then you will have mastered the first one. Continue this throughout the year. Your life will change as your confidence soars.

Peace…
Today, Christmas Day is the most peaceful day of the year. Families and friends are together, enjoying the festivities. Yet, there are still people who aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from. Estranged relationships won’t be repaired because pride stands in the way. Take a brief moment to count your blessings, and remember to help those who are less fortunate. Peace to all…

Almost There
Here in the United States, it’s Christmas Eve. There’s something magical about this time of year. Little children are eagerly watching for Santa, while the adults are finally able to have some down time.
Whatever you celebrate, I wish you good health, peace and fulfillment. Merry Christmas!

What Do You Mean?
All of us want our lives to matter, to mean something. We are imbued by our Creator to have a greater purpose. We spend our lives searching for the true meaning for our time here on earth. To find ourselves, we must cut out the noise that gets in the way of keeping our minds clear and focused. It takes practice and patience to accomplish this, but it’s possible…

Competition
I love to compete. Our competitive juices are stirred when we watch the Olympians compete for the top spot. We want our country to win. In the same sense, I like to win at whatever I’m competing in. The only part of that equation I have control over is how hard I work. Some days we are the best, and sometimes our best isn’t good enough. Whatever the outcome, let’s compete honorably and always do our best…

Bring Light
If you look around, and you don’t have to look very far, I believe you will agree there is much darkness around us. We live in a broken world. People fight with each other over pointless things, which further divides us.
I believe we should be a light to others, bringing goodness and kindness with us. We won’t help everyone, but we will help some. Bring light and life into the lives of others…

My Interview With Vic Feazell, Part 2
Vic Feazell was the District Attorney in McLennan County when he discovered some inconsistencies which aroused his suspicions from the confessions of a drifter named Henry Lee Lucas. Lucas had testified to over 300 unsolved murders, including three in McLennan County. When Vic challenged the Task Force set up by the Texas Rangers, this set off a maelstrom of events which could have landed Vic in prison for 80 years.
Don’t believe in the “Deep State?” You might change your opinion after watching the second installment of our interview. Vic and I cover this, plus forgiveness, how he got into the Guiness Book of World Records and coming full circle in this concluding episode of our time together on The Determined People Podcast.

Christmas Season
We are in the last week before Christmas. The true message of Christmas is hope whether you believe in God or not. Hope gets lost in the madness of shopping, wrapping gifts and attending parties. But hope is what keeps us going, even when it isn’t Christmas time. Stay hopeful. Better days are coming. Just believe…

Allies or Enemies?
Our minds are powerful. Our thoughts are either our allies or they are our enemies. We have the right to choose how we think. Choose wisely…
