Magical Readathon ~ Winter 2019 ~ Week #2
Hello awesome people and happy Monday everyone!
I’m slowly getting in that Christmas mood, although this past week was a weird one in terms of mental health and emotionally speaking, still I did have a little progress on the Winter Magical Readathon, hosted by G.

As you probably saw last Monday, the Magical Readathon is a monthly readathon, in which every week we are handed some reading prompts that we have to fulfil. So far I was so very lucky to be handed with a total of only two prompts, which means I’ll probably manage to finish the books I’ve selected by the end of the month.
Last week’s reading prompt was: “Grab your most recently acquired read! Be that bought, borrowed or inherited!” and for that I chose to read A River of Royal Blood, by Amanda Joy.
So far, it’s a very interesting read, with TONS of world-building, different casts and tribes, cultural and folklore vibes, which makes for a very promising, but a bit slow-paced book. Nonetheless, I do hope that I will manage to finish it by the end of the week, and move on with the second prompt, which I discovered last night.
“From mundane to magical: read an urban fantasy (usually a fantasy world that exists in secret from the muggle world). Harry Potter, for example!”
And so for this one, I’ve chosen Ninth House, by Leigh Bardugo, which I have started reading already, but I do need a lit bit more of motivation, as this is in fact a very challenging book. Still, it takes place in the mundane world, more specifically in Yale University, but it also has, not one, but multiple secret, paranormal societies, which is why I think it fits perfectly for this particular prompt.

This is probably my last hectic week for the year, as I won’t have tutoring classes from December 20th to January 7th, which can only mean two things: a) I’ll have time to relax and spend time with my family, Apo and my friends, and b) I’ll manage to read more and give 2020 a reading boost because this year felt like a HUGE reading slump.
How about you dearies? Are you participating in the Magical Readathon ~ Winter 2019? How was your reading year?
Thank you all for stopping by once again. It means the world to me and I want you to know that I most certainly don’t take your presence here for granted.
I hope y’all have a PHENOMENAL, less stressful and more productive week.
Till next time… Toodles!
