Grooving ~ Demons of Good and Evil
There are many definitions to grooving. The one I’m exploring is all about things I enjoy. So I’ll be sharing with you some things that get me grooving. This can be anything from books, movies, tv shows, things I am cooking, places I have been, just fun or anything my mind comes up with. This is all about things I find enjoyable and fun. I’m reading a book from by Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series.
Read Demons of Good and Evil.
I’m catching up on my reading of the Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series. Reading a book in series I haven’t read yet. Loving the book. 
All the books in this series are so amazing. They build on each other. I enjoy the characters. I love the series. From the first time I read this series it caught me with the world building, plot, and especially the characters.
Now back to reading.

Between the Covers ~ Unexpected Dare
Today’s Between the Covers is an excerpt from Unexpected Dare, Impulse, Book #3. Enjoy.
Soon, Vanessa made her way back toward the dining room then she stopped short when she saw Stephen relaxed against the wall. She could have continued and not acknowledge him at all, instead she strolled over to him in such a sexy way.
Stephen took it as a good sign that she did. Just the way she walked made him want to take her somewhere private.
“What do you want?” she asked as she glared at him.
He straightened from the wall and gazed into her eyes. “You, but that’ll come later as we get to know each other better.”
Rolling her eyes, Vanessa snapped, “Does that line really work for you? Please give me break.” She turned to go.
He stopped her by grabbing her arm.
She glanced down at his hand on her arm then up at him. “Don’t touch me without my permission.”
Stephen released her and ran his fingers through his hair. “Sorry—I wouldn’t. I don’t…” He sighed then rubbed his hand down his face. “I’m—can we start over?”
Vanessa seemed amused. “You’re flustered. That’s cute.”
“Oh, hell. Don’t say that.”
“Why?”
“Cute is the kiss of death for a guy.” Stephen waved his hand. “It’s for puppies, kittens or little orphans. Or men women put into the friend category, never to be taken out of it. I don’t want to be that.”
“Wrong.” Vanessa studied him. “You are cute when you are unsure. And even saying or thinking that doesn’t make you less attractive to me.”
“You find me attractive?” Stephen smiled.
Vanessa rolled her eyes. “Don’t let it go to your head.” She crossed her arms under her full breasts.
Before he could catch himself, his eyes tracked her movements. He glanced up quickly to her face.
She smirked at him.
“Okay. I’m sorry, again. You’re a beautiful woman. A woman I’d like to get to know better,” Stephen said as he raised his hand to touch her cheek.
Vanessa caught his hand before he could touch her. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at him.
Passively, he stood and let her look her fill.
Her eyes went from his face down to his tall muscular body then her gaze returned to his.
Stephen was caught off guard as she let go of his hand, stepped into his body and sunk her hand into his hair to bring his head down to hers. Vanessa drew Stephen to her and ran her tongue along the seam of his lips. Startled, he opened his mouth. She stroked her tongue deeply between his lips, lapping inside all the crevices of his mouth.
Stunned at her kiss, he didn’t respond at first.
What are you doing? Kiss her. A voice in his head advised which sounded suspiciously like Alec.
He held her tightly and kissed her back with equal hunger. Growling deep in his throat, he sucked her tongue into his mouth. Vanessa whimpered softly as he took control of the kiss and deepened it. Tongues clashing, they strained against each other.
She jerked away from him and blinked rapidly, revealing those glazed hazel eyes.

Remy stood feet braced apart staring out into the night. Being on the rooftop of the building afforded him a place to think. He really missed Mia. She’s been away for a few weeks on business and this time due to his own obligations he didn’t get to go with her.
Get over it Remy she’s going to be gone for at least another two weeks. Remy started thinking of ways to rearrange his schedule to be with her.
“Another rooftop.” A sexy voice so familiar and dear spoke behind him.
Remy turned startled to see her as if he conjured her up.
“Mia.” He breathed out. “How did you get here and I not feel you?
“Seems like someone has been moping about.” Mia strolled toward him that sexy strut of hers making him want her so much.
“So that someone’s brothers decided to come get me.” Mia smiled. “As a surprise. They cloaked me and flew me here.”
“Which one?” He walked toward her drawn to the woman who was his heart, soul and very breath. His other being settled as its mate was there.
“All of them had a hand in it.” Mia came to stand before him. “But Dubrinsky brought me.”
“Although I want to thank him.” Remy pulled her close. “I also want to smash his face in for flying with you. You only fly with me.” He lowered his head and inhaled her scent deeply then growled.
“Oh lord. Stop being all possessive.” Mia put her hands on his neck. “When I fly with you it’s something deeper.”
“So you like flying with me.” He smirked.
“Duh…you sound like Goliath from the Gargoyles cartoons. “ She shivered. “And you are a real life Gargoyle to. One I happen to be married to.”
“That’s the human term for it. The right term is Garlven.” Remy pointed out.
“I know.” Mia smirked. “I just love to see what my calling it by the human term does to you.”
“So you like making my eye twitch and voice get all growly.”
“And I repeat. Duh…” She laughed.
The soft drops of rain fell. Remy lifted his face to it. He let his wings flare then placed his hands on her hips. He lowered his wings shielding her from the rain.
Mia burrowed into his embrace. “I missed you Remy.”
“Ditto.” He replied using one of her favorite terms.
Mia chuckled again then sobered starting at him. “Let’s fly.”
As soon as she said the words he shielded her from the rain then unfurled his wings and lifted them. The sound of the air moving with his wings filled the air and he shot straight up into the New York night. Mia joyous laughter filled the rainy night around them.

I’m watching what I think of as a Binge-Worthy TV Show. As you know I’m a big fan of binge-watching stuff. I might have mentioned it a few times here too. *wink*

Scorpion (TV series)
I’m re-watching a TV show I enjoy. Love the dynamic of the characters. The characters are awesome. So good! I’m having a great time watching this awesome show. Love interactions between the characters. Each episode is great. Love it.
